In the sixth year of the Zhenguan era, auspicious snow began to fall, and the world was not cold; smoke rose from every household, gradually revealing the grandeur of a prosperous era!

Before long, amidst the farmers' smiling faces and anticipation, heavy snow gradually blanketed the land.

Outside Luoyang, the sound of horses galloping through the snow came from the northwest, causing the silver-clad warriors standing before the city gate, unmoved by the howling north wind, to grip their spears tightly, pointing them diagonally forward, their silver armor clattering loudly!

The sound grew closer, and slowly, from the pervasive white mist, a dozen or so sturdy horses emerged, each carrying a robust, muscular man in a leather coat with high eyebrows and deep-set eyes.

At this moment, the wind and snow gradually stopped, and in the vast world, in front of those few Hu people, a huge ancient city appeared, like a giant beast crouching on the ground!

Several Hu men gave the reins a slight tug, and their horses immediately lowered to the ground. Looking at the enormous city before them, the men were filled with awe, their eyes revealing naked greed and ferocity!

"Who are you?" A soldier holding a spear stepped forward, his tone harsh and his eyes wary.

The leading group of Hu people exchanged glances, then looked at the armored soldiers beside them. One of them stepped forward and said in a strange and somewhat strained tone, "We are subordinates of the King of Yanqi of the Turks. We have come to the Great Tang Dynasty to pay our respects to His Majesty the Tang King on the orders of our king!" Although they were there to pay their respects, their tone was condescending, and they were still sitting high on their horses as they spoke.

The silver-clad guard in the lead looked uncertain as he gazed at the several Turks mounted on horseback before him and asked, "Since you have come to pay your respects, do you have any documents for me to review?"

Upon hearing this, the Turk who had spoken first revealed a sharp glint in his deep eyes, frowned, and said in a gruff voice, "The document exists, but it's only for your emperor!" The implication was that the silver-armored guard before him was not qualified to examine it.

Upon hearing this, the silver-clad guard frowned slightly, but did not show any anger. His tone became even more rigid. "If that's the case, then please wait a moment, esteemed guests, while we announce your arrival." With that, the leading guard whispered a few words to someone next to him, and that person rushed into the city gate.

Before long, the leading Turks frowned, becoming increasingly impatient. Their horses, like their masters, were breathing out white vapors, showing signs of restlessness.

Suddenly, the Turks exchanged glances, and one of them slapped his horse's rump, leading several men through the city gate before the silver-armored warriors could react.

The other armored soldiers were startled and were about to thrust their spears, but were stopped by their leader. He merely stared warily at the troops still outside the city, his spears thrust outwards, confronting them! The atmosphere suddenly became tense, but the Turks seemed fearless, occasionally comforting their horses, appearing completely unconcerned!

Once inside the city, the Turks became even more unrestrained, letting their horses gallop wildly through the streets, heading straight for the inner city! The heavy snow had just passed, and there were only a few traces of people on both sides of the main road. They rode all the way without bumping into a single person!

As the snow cleared and the sun gradually rose, Li Xingzhi and Erlang, accompanied by several strong servants, went out the door and onto the main road, heading straight for the west gate, intending to see if the snow scene in the north was as vast and magnificent as the legends described: "a thousand miles of ice, ten thousand miles of snow."

They hadn't walked far when a woman came towards them, leading a small child with a flushed face and carrying a basket on her shoulder.

When the woman saw Li Xingzhi and his entourage approaching, she quickly went to greet them, lifted the cover over the basket, and said earnestly, "Would you like to take a look at these wooden toys, sir?"

Li Xingzhi glanced at the exhausted woman, then at the child beside her, and a pang of pity struck him. He stepped forward and looked directly at the large basket—

As he saw the intricately carved wooden dolls and other unidentifiable trinkets, a thought suddenly struck him. He picked up a small object and asked with a smile, "What's this called again?"

"This is called a 'flying car'?"

"A flying car?" Li Xingzhi looked at the thing in his hand that looked similar to the 'bamboo dragonfly' he used to play with when he was a child, and a sense of nostalgia suddenly arose in his heart, and his interest was piqued.

At this moment, the little boy next to him also held a bamboo dragonfly in his hand. With a gentle pinch of his little hand, the wings drew a circle and rose into the sky, carried by the wind!

The little boy watched the bamboo dragonfly fly away, his eyes fixed on the sky, and his little feet ran in the direction the bamboo dragonfly had flown.

As the bamboo dragonfly rose higher and higher, its wings spun slower and slower—

Suddenly, a strange gust of wind blew by, and the bamboo dragonfly's already limp wings trembled slightly. It immediately stopped spinning, and, slightly swayed by the wind, tilted and fell straight down.

The little boy looked at the falling bamboo dragonfly, his bright little eyes full of laughter, his little mouth curved, and he made cheerful noises!

The woman watched the little boy run off into the distance, a hint of worry in her eyes. She quickly called out, "Ugly boy, come back to your mother!" After a moment's hesitation, she glanced at Li Xingzhi and the others, then abandoned her burden and went straight to find the little boy in the middle of the street!

Li Xingzhi glanced at the departing woman, then proceeded to pick and choose from the basket, ignoring the strange looks from the servants following behind him. He picked out all the trinkets that caught his eye... He also failed to notice the complex emotions of affection and tenderness that Erlang, who was standing next to him, showed in his eyes as he looked at the mother and child!

The little boy stood in the middle of the road, holding up a bamboo dragonfly and waving it around, cheerfully calling out "Your Highness, Your Highness—" His voice was so childish that it made him even more adorable!

Suddenly, the woman, who had been smiling and preparing to pick up the child, changed her expression, turning deathly pale. She then scooped the child up in her arms and shielded him with her entire body!

Suddenly, several large, yellow horses galloped down the road, stirring up a fierce wind and kicking up snow. The sound of their hooves grew increasingly rapid as they charged forward, seemingly oblivious to the mother and child still blocking the way!

Li Xingzhi was still engrossed in picking things out of the basket, completely unaware that a human tragedy was about to unfold! His master remained motionless, and the servants behind him dared not hinder the galloping horse, watching helplessly as the tragedy was about to occur!

Just then, Wang Erlang, who had been watching the mother and son, saw the horses galloping forward with a fierce wind. His eyes turned red, and he recalled the day a few years ago when he returned home to find his parents lying in a pool of blood!

He seemed to see his parents, whose memories were already blurred, staring at him with wide eyes from a pool of blood!

He recalled the warmth and tenderness of being in his mother's arms when he was a child...

The Xuanmen True Qi accumulated in Erlang's body quickly flowed to his legs. With a swift movement of his feet, the bluestone on the ground cracked open as if by a crack, and he rushed towards the mother and child like a swooping eagle!
