The sun rises.

In a corner below the cliff, firelight flickered, illuminating the cliff face in an orange-red hue. On the fire, a skinned muntjac sizzled, releasing a fragrant aroma.

Li Qing used the dark dagger in his hand to make cuts in the venison, the skin and flesh turning over like scales, and with the two small horns on his head glowing with fiery red light, he looked like an armored unicorn walking on fire.

The girl watched the boy nimbly twirling the dagger, her eyes flashing with doubt and curiosity.

Even Li Qing himself was quite puzzled.

"Grandpa, this is Li Qing. I'm her savior!" As she spoke, she seemed to be showing off a treasure, taking off the Flowing Cloud Pendant from her waist. "Look, this is a gift from her to me, her savior!"

She fiddled with the jade pendant like a young girl, glancing smugly at Li Qing, winking and making faces, looking rather like a petty person who had achieved something great.

The old man's pupils contracted as he looked at the jade pendant the girl held up!

"Zhi'er, give the things back to them!"
