Defeat the system! Kiss my little monster!

Chapter 92 The Issue of Levels

Maurice felt slightly uncomfortable with Fabian addressing him by that name.

Zerg medics generally treat female Zerglings with a cold, hard approach. Female Zerglings possess top-tier regenerative and pain-tolerance abilities, so medics don't need to care for them the way they would male Zerglings.

Morris tried to open his right eye. The wound on his right eye showed no signs of scabbing over the past few days; the flesh had split open and was bright red, with blood mixed inside.

"Don't force it, just open it a crack." Fabian moved his finger to a different spot. "Can you see?"

Morris's right eye was completely black, and he said, "No."

“Okay, close it first.” Fabian took out the medical equipment next to him.

The air was filled with the smell of disinfectant. Adrian stood near the door, listening to the occasional rustling sounds coming from inside.

There was a small cubicle inside the room. Fabian pulled a white cloth over it to cover the area, so Adrian could only see the shadowy figures of two insects inside.

The word "survival of the fittest" rolled over his head: "Don't worry~ it's not that bad yet, his eyes are at most just slightly injured."

Adrian gripped his slightly trembling wrist and turned to sit on the cushioned chair designed for male insects. He seemed completely unconcerned: "I'm not worried at all."

The cowardly survivor snorted, "Okay, okay, can you stop shaking?"

Adrian: "..."

He suddenly lowered his head, grabbed the creature that was clinging to life, and threw it away.

"Noisy."

Fabian's examination of Maurice was brief, lasting only about ten minutes.

Maurice's eye wound showed no signs of healing and was even worsening. Fabian simply disinfected the wound, applied some basic ointment, and finally re-bandaged his right eye with a medical bandage.

Adrian waited for a while, and after Fabian came out, he told him the general situation.

"The legion commander has residual toxins from a strange beast in his eyes. If these toxins cannot be removed, no amount of subsequent medical treatment will be effective."

Adrian was already mentally prepared; Fabian's words were similar to what he had heard in his previous life. He asked, "Are there any signs of ulceration in your eye now?"

Morris had already come out of the cubicle. He glanced at Adrian upon hearing this, a strange emotion flashing across his brow.

Fabian said, "Not for now, but it's hard to say what will happen later. Right now, I can only alleviate the worsening of the wound. I'll have to wait for the test results to come out before I can study the specific methods."

Adrian nodded: "When will the test results be available?"

“Sir, we’ll have the results tonight, and I’ll send you the documents then,” Fabian said, placing his hand on the medicine box on the table. “Could I have a copy of this ointment? I need to have the ingredients tested.”

The royal physician had given Maurice several boxes of the same ointment. Adrian thought for a few seconds and said, "Okay, but you have to send me the test results as well."

“No problem.” Fabian stood up.

The personal terminal next to him flashed a few times. Fabian glanced at the caller ID and casually hung up the call.

“This is a soothing ointment. Use it twice a day, just one milliliter is enough.” Fabian took out two new medicine boxes. “Come find me if you have any problems. I’m here every weekend.”

“Okay.” Adrian put all the medicine into a bag, exchanged contact information with Fabian, and then prepared to leave the room.

The next female insect to see the doctor had been waiting outside for some time. Adrian asked about some precautions, then left the hospital with Maurice.

At night, Adrian applied medicine to Maurice's wounds.

He wasn't entirely unsuspecting of Fabian. Fabian was now also a royal physician, and Adrian had another specialist analyze the ointment's ingredients before applying it to Maurice's eye after confirming it was safe.

Morris leaned back on the sofa. The ointment melted quickly upon touching his fingertips, and felt cool when applied to the wound.

His right eye was tightly closed, but his left eye was fixed on Adrian. Adrian applied the ointment to him meticulously, and when he frowned slightly, he showed a rare seriousness.

“My lord, your rank is very high, you are not inferior at all.” Morris casually pinched Adrian’s waist with both hands.

He sensed Adrian's body contours through the thin fabric, his thumb occasionally kneading Adrian's waist and abdomen, as if soothing Adrian's skin and flesh there.

“Of course my level is high, I’m already B-level, how is that low?” Adrian’s hands didn’t stop moving. He glanced down at Morris’s arm, and then looked away.

Morris chuckled after hearing this, his hands resting on Adrian's sides, and he said nothing more.

Adrian didn't seem to care much. After he finished speaking, he put away the ointment and left the sofa. After thinking about it for a while, he felt something was wrong.

After applying the medicine, Morris remained seated, slowly smoothing out the wrinkles on his shirt. He stopped abruptly when he sensed the shadow cast from above. "Master?"

Adrian had somehow returned from around the corner. He grabbed Maurice's chin with one hand and lifted it up, saying in an unfriendly tone, "Maurice, you dare to look down on me?"

A look of surprise flashed in Morris's exposed left eye. He quickly understood what had happened and said innocently, "My lord, I was just praising you."

"Why are you praising me like this all of a sudden? Aren't you just trying to make me arrogant and annoying?" Adrian seemed to be looking for trouble.

Morris: "?"

"My lord, I..."

"I'm going to teach you a lesson today!" Adrian suddenly pressed down on Morris, biting Morris's lips and slipping his tongue between Morris's open lips in pain.

Morris grunted, gripping the sofa tightly with one hand and restraining himself by placing the other at his side, suppressing the urge to return the kiss.

Intimate sounds filled the air as Adrian and Maurice kissed passionately for a moment before Adrian's red tongue withdrew from Maurice's mouth.

He pressed his palm down on Maurice's abdomen, applying some pressure on the right side as a warning. "Maurice, don't say things you shouldn't say next time, understand?"

After Adrian finished, Morris sat on the sofa with his head down. His lips were swollen from Adrian's haphazard biting, and he looked half-paralyzed and bullied.

Adrian pinched his earlobe, and Morris, startled, said, "...My lord, I understand, I won't do it again."

Adrian sneered and withdrew his hand.
