Defeat the system! Kiss my little monster!
Chapter 241 Aerial Combat
Shen Yisui sensed what was happening beside him. He disregarded everything else and quickly slashed through the zombies in front of him, pulling Yi Yi back from the edge of the window.
"Stand behind me, don't go out!" Shen Yi's voice turned cold. "Even if he dies, you must live! What do you value your own life?! Come back!"
Yi Yi's expression froze for a moment. He blinked and stood up from the ground: "...I know, I didn't mean to jump down."
Shen Yi frowned. More and more zombies were gathering around him, and his stamina was being consumed rapidly, almost reaching its lowest point.
The water droplets were no longer enough for Shen Yisui, so he changed his approach and simply extracted blood from the zombies, let it solidify, and then attacked the surrounding area again.
Yi Yi was also forced to join in. His ability to regulate his emotions was far stronger than Shen Yisui had imagined. He could stand up again without Shen Yisui saying anything more.
As Cheng Jingyi had said before, Yi Yi appeared thin but was actually very tenacious. His methods were not as weak and gentle as they seemed; his slender fingers allowed him to easily pierce through a zombie's skull and extract the crystal core.
"Shen Yisui, lend me a knife." Yi Yi grabbed Shen Yisui in the chaos. Blood was still dripping from the tips of his hair. He lowered his eyes and trampled several zombies under his feet.
“These zombies have a lot of blood inside them; you can use it to create a blood wall.” Yi wiped the blood from her face, but the blood didn’t dry; instead, it seemed to multiply with each wipe. “I’m stalling for time. Do you have any more crystal cores?”
Shen Yisui understood what he meant. He nodded and handed the crystal core along with the ice blade to Yi Yi. Sensing that Yi Yi had taken it, Shen Yisui turned around and quickly conjured another longsword with his blood.
Yi Yi chuckled, her expression ambiguous: "Little brother, hang in there. This time... I'll try to stay a little longer."
He crushed all the dozens of crystal cores in his hand.

The area downstairs is now a sea of corpses.
A mudslide formed by countless zombies rushed down, destroying supermarkets, buildings, dead trees... and even the living people running and fleeing frantically.
Guns and cannons seemed to have no effect on them. After a few deafening bombardments, the ground revealed a dry gap, but within seconds, the horde of hordes of corpses would quickly fill the void.
The fighter jets continued their attacks from above, while below, swarms of zombies grew like ants, making it impossible for the pilots to distinguish the combat personnel mixed among them.
They were originally scattered across many combat sites, but in less than three or four minutes, they were all destroyed. Even the positioning equipment malfunctioned, and all signals were cut off.
"Why launch such a reckless attack?! The Zombie King is still inside the mechanical building, and the infiltrators are all in place! Why suddenly launch artillery fire?!"
Shen Heng sat in the helicopter, the cold wind blowing in, making his cheeks and fingers turn red. Shen Heng seemed oblivious, he held the walkie-talkie and questioned sharply, his expression tightening, revealing a clearly visible ferocious coldness.
"This is an order from above. There are no normal humans left in the West District. They must all be eliminated."
A neutral male voice flowed slowly from the walkie-talkie. They were not present and maintained a neutral attitude towards the current tragic situation, even speaking in a tone that remained unchanged.
"Are you blind?! There are still survivors down there, refugees hiding in the West District, and the troops you sent out... they're all down there!"
"...We have just dispatched a helicopter for rescue, and it will arrive within five minutes. This was due to a misinformation..."
The sound from the walkie-talkie was intermittent, and Shen Heng slammed the thing to the ground.
After the ball was gone, the military's top brass changed their attitude towards him overnight. In the past, they would adopt Shen Heng's suggestions, but now, without Shen Heng even participating in the meeting, they bypassed him and issued orders directly.
...What is all this?
Shen Heng's brows furrowed, his eyes flickering uncertainly. Even sitting in the main control seat, a hidden sense of panic and uncertainty kept rising in his heart.
He entered the army based on his own merit. He trained day and night and worked harder than anyone else. He earned his first place in all assessments with his blood and sweat.
He didn't get this position because of the colorful balls!
Shen Heng's breathing gradually became heavy. He reset the program on the panel and changed the direction of flight.
Lu Ran sat in the passenger seat, glanced at the flight path on the screen, and asked, "Where are you going?"
“My brother is still inside,” Shen Heng said.
Lu Ran's lips curved into a smile for no apparent reason: "Are you going to find him, or are you going to find Shen Yisui?"
Shen Heng paused, turning to look at Lu Ran. He saw that the latter's expression remained unchanged, still carrying a hint of serious coldness. He seemed the same as before, but there was also a subtle, chilling aura that didn't match his status.
"The zombie horde will engulf everyone, and Shen Yisui will die too." The adjutant's fingers gripped the surface of his pistol as he muttered to himself, "Isn't that better?"
Shen Heng stared at him: "You're the one who leaked the news."
Lu Ran remained noncommittal. He lifted his eyelids, his chiseled face mostly cold: "Your attitude towards him has changed drastically. Why?"
"Did he tell you everything?"
A gunshot rang out as a bullet was chambered, and Shen Heng's gun was already pressed against Lu Ran's forehead: "Lieutenant, what do you mean by all this? What do you know?"
Lu Ran remained calm as he looked at Shen Heng and said, word by word, "That happened a long time ago. We both have new identities and have started new lives. Why do you insist on dwelling on the past?"
Shen Heng's face was extremely ugly. He grabbed Lu Ran's collar and said coldly, "It's you, isn't it? Is it you?! Shen—Yi—Sui—"
"Heh..." Lu Ran's eyes narrowed slightly. He was faster than Shen Heng, grabbing the muzzle of the pistol and using it to quickly twist Shen Heng's wrist.
A crisp cracking sound filled the air as Shen Heng's face contorted in pain as Lu Ran choked him and pressed him against the airplane door. The protective glass was bone-chillingly cold; Shen Heng's cheekbone slammed against it, and the excruciating pain caused him to lose consciousness instantly.
"Shen Yisui—!"
"Shen Heng, what can you do without the colored ball?" Lu Ran's expression was indifferent. "The Shen Yisui who dies today will be the real Shen Yisui. As long as he keeps quiet, no one will know those dirty things. As for you..."
Lu Ran seemed to recall something, then gave a mocking smile: "You'd better shut up."
He immediately pointed the gun at Shen Heng's forehead and pulled the trigger.
"boom!"
The bullet did not penetrate Shen Heng's skull.
The bullet seemed to be blocked by a transparent external force, stopping a few millimeters away from Shen Heng's brow, and was quickly crushed into fragments within a second or two.
Shen Heng's eyes widened. Seeing Lu Ran standing there in a daze, he immediately punched him in the side of the face.
"Shen Yisui! You shameless bastard!" Shen Heng threw Lu Ran to the ground and punched him hard in the forehead and cheeks, reaching out to snatch the pistol.
Lu Ran was very perceptive. His body was being held down by Shen Heng. When he saw Shen Heng snatch the pistol, he grabbed Shen Heng's thigh, intending to break his patella.
Before Shen Heng could even get up, he was thrown to the ground. He and Lu Ran fought each other, crashing open the plane's cabin door. A blast of cold air rushed in, and the pistol was snatched away by them before finally falling from the sky.
"Shen Yisui, you can't escape! Even if I die today, Shen Cheng will not let you go! You coward! You beast!"
