After Shen Yu pulled him over, Wen Yu did not resist. He was very close to Shen Yu, and when he lowered his head, his forehead could almost be buried in Shen Yu's neck.

"You don't look too well," Wen Yu said in a deep voice, his arm encircling Shen Yu's waist. "You still have the strength?"

"Your mask has already dissolved." Shen Yu found it somewhat amusing. "Masks made of this material dissolve easily in water. You didn't know that?"

Wen Yu's expression froze. He subconsciously covered his right cheek with his hand, feeling the uneven texture. He pursed his lips and looked at Shen Yu, then abruptly turned his face away a few seconds later.

The smile on Shen Yu's lips was faint, and it soon returned to its original shape.

Wen Yu was unaware of this at the time. The mask he had paid a large sum of money to have brought him was a cheap one; the palace servant had deceived him. Afterward, Wen Yu tried to escape Kunning Palace wearing this mask, but was doused with cold water and then dragged back to where he started.

Shen Yu unconsciously clenched his fist and said, "I also know some mask-making techniques. I'll teach you when I have time."

Wen Yu lifted her eyelids: "How was the effect?"

Shen Yu was soaking wet, dripping with water. After he went out, he went to find something for Wen Yu.

Wen Yu's legs were too weak; even if given a wooden stick, he would have difficulty climbing out. Shen Yu glanced around the well and, turning around, suddenly saw another figure crouching in the shade of a tree.

Shen Yu tensed up. He saw the shadow guard's black clothes on the man's body and recognized him through the different colored masks on his face: "Shadow Seventeen".

Seeing this, Ying Shiqi also stood up. He slowly walked towards Shen Yu and said, "Brother, why are you lying to me? Isn't that Wen Yu in the well?"

Shen Yu did not answer. He stood in front of Ying Shiqi, his expression growing cold: "It's none of your business."

"How could this have nothing to do with me?" Ying Shiqi seemed oblivious to the murderous intent in Shen Yu's eyes. He walked to Shen Yu's side and took out the thick, long iron chain he had prepared. "I'm here to help you."

Shen Yu frowned. Before he could speak, Ying Shiqi threw the long iron chain to Shen Yu: "Get him out yourself. After you get him out, you can leave first. I'll clean up this mess."

Shen Yu stood still. The photography studio had always been hostile to the Yue Kingdom, and Ying Shiqi's actions were tantamount to betraying the studio's leader, which made Shen Yu quite suspicious: "Why?"

Ying Shiqi glanced at Shen Yu, his gaze wandering before finally settling on Shen Yu's face: "It's nothing, we just click, and it's just a small favor for me to help you."

After finishing his sentence, Shadow Seventeen returned to the shade of the tree where he had been standing. He had already disposed of the two guards' bodies earlier, and even the unconscious Danqing had been shackled and tied to the edge of the tree. Shen Yu stuffed the paper into his pocket. He didn't say much, simply thanked Ying Shiqi, and then led Wen Yu into the dense forest on the other side.

Wen Yu coughed twice, then leaned on Shen Yu's back, glancing at Ying Shiqi before leaving. Ying Shiqi remained standing still, and soon after, another figure leaped down from the branches of the ancient Eastern tree.
