Beijing Colors Lingering

Chapter 102 Macau

The following afternoon, after finishing her work, Shen Jinsui, He Zhenzhen, Qiao Yunshu, Jiang Yining, and Qi Mingyuan took a private plane to Macau.

After the plane arrived at its destination, the driver took them to the hotel, and another driver delivered their luggage to their respective suites.

As night falls, Macau is ablaze with lights, a scene of unparalleled prosperity and luxury.

The hotel's entertainment hall was magnificent and bustling with activity.

At each long, round table sat a dealer dressed in a black and white uniform, with colorful chips scattered around. The passengers sitting around the table were either anxious or confident, all anticipating the final outcome.

Upstairs are luxurious and independent VIP rooms, quiet and stylish, seemingly forming a different world from the scene below.

Meanwhile, in a VIP room, a handsome dealer stood in front of a long table, bending down to deal cards one by one.

Shen Jinsui leaned back comfortably in the leather seat, her slender, fair fingers landing on the playing cards as she flipped them over to examine the numbers on the cards.

Soon, He Zhenzhen sighed softly and muttered in dissatisfaction, "Oh dear, I lost again."

Qi Mingyuan raised an eyebrow and said lazily, "Bad luck, huh? Unlucky guy."

He Zhenzhen glared at him with a grimace, then snorted and muttered, "You talk too much."

Qi Mingyuan's lips curled up slightly as he pushed the large pile of chips in front of him towards He Zhenzhen, and said lazily, "Miss He, these are all for you. If you lose, it's on me."

"Okay, okay, you can't go back on your word." He Zhenzhen happily accepted the chips, and then counted how many there were.

Since the money is practically handed to me, I might as well take it.

Qi Mingyuan scoffed and asked, "Am I that kind of person?"

He Zhenzhen ignored him and continued counting her chips.

Jiang Yining glanced at the two of them, then moved her chair to the side and whispered gossip to Shen Jinsui: "Why aren't they together yet?"

Shen Jinsui shrugged and said in a low voice, "Perhaps this is called being emotionally obtuse?"

Qiao Yunshu sat next to Jiang Yining. She had just heard what Jiang Yining said, so she moved her chair slightly, shook her head, and said softly, "I think Qi Mingyuan is pretending to be ignorant."

Jiang Yining looked at He Zhenzhen, who was counting chips, while Qi Mingyuan watched her quietly, a hint of tenderness seemingly in his eyes.

Jiang Yining then looked away and continued, "Then only He Zhenzhen is emotionally clueless."

Shen Jinsui glanced at the two casually and said, "That should be the case. Anyway, they'll be together sooner or later."

Qiao Yunshu looked at Shen Jinsui and said, "I agree with you."

Jiang Yining immediately chimed in, "Add one."

After counting her chips, He Zhenzhen looked up and saw the three of them whispering to each other, seemingly discussing something.

She then coughed lightly and asked curiously, "What are you talking about behind my back?"

"She didn't say anything," Jiang Yining quickly shook her head.

Qiao Yunshu said, "We were just discussing why you had such bad luck today."

He Zhenzhen looked at their expressions suspiciously, then looked at Shen Jinsui.

Seeing this, Shen Jinsui nodded slightly and solemnly agreed, "Yeah, you really had a lot of bad luck today."

Hearing Shen Jinsui say this, He Zhenzhen had no doubts and muttered indignantly, "Yeah, why am I always the one losing money? I'm so unlucky."

Qi Mingyuan raised his hand and patted her head, comforting her, "It's okay, if you lose again, it's on me."

He Zhenzhen brushed his hand away and scolded, "I've told you hundreds of times not to touch my hair!"

Qi Mingyuan withdrew his hand and awkwardly touched his nose. "Sorry, it's a habit."

After playing for a while, the group left the private room. They had eaten on the plane, so they were now going to the hotel's rooftop restaurant for dinner before continuing to play.

As soon as they stepped out of the private room, Shen Jinsui heard someone calling her name.

Immediately afterwards, she turned to look at the person who had come in. It turned out to be Pei Yinzi, Pei Chiyu's half-sister.

A few days ago, Shen Jinsui heard from her grandparents that her cousin Cheng Yi had gone on a blind date recently and that he and his date had developed feelings for each other and were currently getting to know each other.

When Shen Jinsui learned that her cousin's blind date was Pei Yinzi, she exclaimed that the world is sometimes really small.

Shen Jinsui knew that Pei Yinzi was now in charge of the Pei family, and Pei Chiyu had long been marginalized. If she and her cousin were together, it would be a powerful alliance.

Pei Yinzi stepped forward with a smile and said in a very familiar tone, "Shen Jinsui, what a coincidence, I didn't expect to run into you here."

After she finished speaking, she greeted the people next to her.

My cousin has a crush on Pei Yinzi, and Shen Jinsui had seen her at her previous birthday party and knew that she and Pei Chiyu had never gotten along, so he politely replied, "It is indeed a coincidence. Are you here with your friends?"

Pei Yinzi nodded and smiled, "Yes, I'm playing here with my friends, and Yi Hang is here too. Why don't we play together later?"

After thinking for a moment, Shen Jinsui said, "We're going to have dinner at the restaurant on the top floor now."

Pei Yinzi suggested with a smile, "My friend happens to be there, and we're about to have dinner now, why don't we join her?"

After pondering for a while, Shen Jinsui nodded, "Alright then."

She actually had a pretty good first impression of Pei Yinzi, and Yi Hang was also a decent person. Plus, they were all around the same age, which is why she agreed.

Afterwards, Pei Yinzi and Shen Jinsui entered the elevator together.
