As they continued their journey along the muddy road, the surroundings began to grow increasingly desolate. The alley narrowed, the walls darkened, and Feipeng felt an invisible sense of oppression. They had to leave this place as soon as possible and find a safer haven.

"Feipeng, we should find a place to rest." Lin Xue's voice interrupted his thoughts again, clearly she was also feeling tired.

"There's a small park up ahead. It looks quiet; maybe we can stop here for a while," Fei Peng said, his gaze falling on the faintly visible green space ahead. He hoped to rest and clear his mind here, and also give Lin Xue a chance to catch her breath.

The two arrived at the park, which was deserted except for a few rusty benches and scattered trees. Fei Peng sat down on a bench, feeling a little relieved. He turned to look at Lin Xue and noticed a hint of fatigue on her face, as if the run had left her feeling somewhat exhausted.

"Are you alright?" Fei Peng asked with concern, his eyes filled with tenderness.

"I'm alright, just a little tired." Lin Xue smiled slightly, but Fei Peng noticed a hint of strain in her smile. "I'm wondering, how should we continue?"

Fei Peng's heart tightened, and his thoughts began to race. "I hope to find that customer, but we have no leads right now." He took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "We have to find a safe place first, and then we can think of something."

Lin Xue nodded, seemingly understanding his concerns. "Have you considered where he might go?"

“I don’t know…maybe he’ll go back to the gym.” Fei Peng thought for a moment, his gaze gradually hardening. “We can give it a try.”

“If we’re going to the gym, we need to find transportation first.” Lin Xue’s mind raced, and her expression showed a hint of decisiveness. “We can’t waste any more time here.”

Feipeng agreed with her idea, feeling a surge of relief. Their shared goal made him feel more at ease. "Then let's set off. Be careful along the way and try to avoid contact with anyone."

The two stood up, ready to continue. Fei Peng noticed that his shoes were covered in a thick layer of mud, and a wave of annoyance washed over him: "This is really troublesome." But then, he turned his attention to what was ahead, silently encouraging himself: "No matter how difficult it is, we must keep going."

On the other side of the park, they found a street that didn't seem busy. Fei Peng looked around and noticed a few cars occasionally driving by. He knew in his heart that although things seemed calm on the outside, danger was still lurking.

“Let’s find a taxi,” he said to Lin Xue, silently thinking, “We must find a means of transportation.”

"Okay!" Lin Xue replied, her eyes sparkling with hope. Although she was a little tired, she maintained a positive attitude thanks to Fei Peng's encouragement.

After walking for a few minutes, they finally found an empty car. Feipeng stopped in front of the driver and said, slightly nervously, "To the gym, hurry up!"

The driver glanced at them, and although he looked puzzled, he nodded in agreement and immediately started the engine. Feipeng sat in the back seat, a vague unease creeping into his heart. Although they had temporarily escaped danger, Feipeng couldn't let his guard down. He frequently peered through the rear window, his mind replaying the customer's face and the secrets hidden behind him.

"Feipeng, are you thinking about that customer?" Lin Xue's voice came from the side, interrupting his thoughts.

"Yes, I think he must know something." Fei Peng tried to voice his doubts, but he knew that this was perhaps the truth he least wanted to admit.

"If we find him, what are you prepared to ask him?" Lin Xue asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"I want to ask him why these men in black are chasing me. And what is the connection between him and me?" Fei Peng thought to himself, "Only by getting answers from him can the truth be revealed."

The taxi sped along the road, the surrounding scenery rushing past the window, but Fei Peng's mood grew heavier. Even with a seemingly calm exterior, the sense of urgency within him remained. He understood that the road ahead might be full of unknown challenges, but he would strive to overcome these difficulties and ensure that Lin Xue would not be harmed in any way.

"Feipeng, no matter what happens, I will be by your side." Lin Xue suddenly grasped his hand, her eyes firm, revealing a strong sense of trust.

Feipeng felt that warmth, and his heart was filled with strength again. "Thank you, Lin Xue. We will get through this together." He took a deep breath and encouraged himself silently: "No matter how many difficulties lie ahead, we can find a solution by joining hands."

The taxi stopped in front of the gym. Fei Peng's heart tightened, and he quickly took out his phone, thinking that dialing home might offer him some comfort at this moment. He took a deep breath, and warm images of home flashed through his mind; his parents' smiles seemed to be right before his eyes: "Just hearing their voices might give me some courage."

"Are you going to make a phone call?" Lin Xue's voice interrupted his thoughts, and her concerned gaze warmed his heart.

"Yes, I want to tell my family I'm fine," Fei Peng replied, but his heart was filled with hesitation: "But at this time, won't they worry?"

"You can tell them you're fine and put their minds at ease," Lin Xue suggested softly, clearly understanding his situation.

Fei Peng nodded, a sense of unease creeping into his heart: "I don't want them to worry, nor do I want them to get involved in my troubles." Yet, he also knew he needed his family's support and encouragement, as if that was the driving force that gave him the courage to face everything.

He dialed the number, his heart filled with anticipation for a response from the other end. As the phone rang, Fei Peng's heart pounded faster with each note, his tension almost suffocating.

"Hello?" came the father's voice from the other end of the phone, warm and kind.

"Dad, it's me, Feipeng." Feipeng tried to calm himself down, a sense of security welling up inside him.

"Feipeng! Are you alright?" His father's voice was full of concern, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his heart.

"I'm fine, just a little busy." Fei Peng was secretly relieved, his voice firm, wanting to reassure his father. But he knew in his heart that this peace did not mean everything was resolved.

"We heard you recently participated in a competition at the gym and did very well. We are very proud of you." The father's voice carried a hint of pride, as if he were cheering him on.
