"Do you know this place?" Fei Peng couldn't help but ask, trying to find some clues from her expression.

“I’ve been here before. There’s an abandoned factory inside. We can hide here temporarily.” Lin Xue’s tone was firm, with an undeniable determination.

Feipeng followed silently, his trust growing stronger. He didn't want to show his unease; after all, finding a trustworthy companion in this unfamiliar city was incredibly rare.

Soon, they arrived at a low-lying factory surrounded by tall iron fences. Lin Xue pushed open an iron gate, with Fei Peng following closely behind. The factory interior was dark, with moonlight filtering through broken windows, casting dappled shadows. Fei Peng scanned the area and noticed that it seemed to have been abandoned for a long time, the ground covered in dust and debris.

"Let's rest here for a bit and wait for them to go," Lin Xue said in a low voice, a hint of nervousness flashing in her eyes.

Fei Peng nodded, but his mind was filled with doubt. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down and clear his head. Was there some unspeakable secret behind his inexplicable pursuit? He suddenly felt a strong curiosity and wanted to find out.

"Have you ever thought about why they're pursuing you?" Lin Xue suddenly asked, her gaze deep.

“I’ve encountered some suspicious people at the gym,” Fei Peng hesitated for a moment before finally deciding to share some information. “There was a customer who seemed particularly interested in me, but he never came back to class. I heard he was involved in some bad things, but I never investigated further.”

“That sounds suspicious.” Lin Xue nodded, frowning in thought. “If they are really looking for you, it’s probably because you saw something by accident, or you caught their attention somewhere.”

Fei Peng felt a jolt, as if he had realized something. His intuition told him that he wasn't the only target in this pursuit. "I must find the truth," he said softly, his eyes revealing a firm resolve.

"What do you want to do?" Lin Xue's voice carried a hint of worry.

"I need to go back and find clues about that customer." Many possible scenarios flashed through Fei Peng's mind. He needed to know who that person was and whether he was related to this chase.

Lin Xue was silent for a moment, then finally nodded: "Okay, but we have to be careful. If they are really tracking you, we must be prepared."

Feipeng felt a surge of warmth; Lin Xue's support greatly encouraged him. "Thank you, Lin Xue. I'll be careful."

The two exchanged a knowing glance, seemingly reaching a consensus. In that instant, Feipeng suddenly felt he was no longer alone. They were both struggling in this chase, and mutual trust and cooperation had become their only way to survive.

"Wait a moment, I'll go check out the situation outside," Lin Xue said softly, her gaze serious.

"I'll go with you." Fei Peng's heart tightened; he didn't want to leave her alone here, fearing that danger might befall her.

"I'm really fine," Lin Xue comforted her, but her eyes flickered involuntarily. "I'll be back as soon as possible."

Feipeng nodded reluctantly, a sense of anxiety creeping into his heart. Watching her leave the factory, a feeling of unease crept over him. In this unknown crisis, only by finding the truth could they finally find relief.

Lin Xue lingered outside for a few minutes, and Fei Peng felt as if a heavy stone was hanging over his heart, so tense he could hardly breathe. He hoped she would return safely, but he couldn't help imagining the possible dangers. Just as he was constantly speculating, Lin Xue finally returned, a hint of nervousness on her face.

“They’re still looking for you. It seems there are a few people nearby.” Her voice was low but resolute. “We need to leave as soon as possible.”

Feipeng nodded, his anxiety and sense of urgency growing stronger. "Where are we going?"

“I have a friend who works at a bar nearby. It’s relatively safe there, so maybe I can hide there for now,” Lin Xue said, her voice full of hope.

"Okay, let's go right away." Fei Peng prayed silently, hoping to find a chance to escape in the coming moments.

The two cautiously left the factory, their nerves taut, trying their best to remain silent. The streets remained deserted, moonlight filtering through the clouds and illuminating their faces. Fei Peng's thoughts raced, filled with unknown challenges and uncertainties about the future. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, ready to face any impending crisis.

"Do you really believe you can find the truth?" Lin Xue suddenly asked, her tone tinged with unease.

“I must believe,” Fei Peng said firmly. Although he was filled with uncertainty about the future, he understood that only by pursuing the truth could he break free from all these constraints. He wanted to uncover the secrets behind this pursuit, not only for himself, but also for the greater truth lurking in the shadows.

Feipeng and Lin Xue moved quickly through the dimly lit streets. Moonlight filtered through the trees, casting shadows that sometimes obscured their figures and sometimes revealed them to the light. Lin Xue's words echoed in Feipeng's mind, a sense of urgency rising within him. He didn't want to transfer his unease onto Lin Xue, but he couldn't suppress his anxiety about the future. Their safety, evading pursuit, and the search for the truth—these complex emotions swirled within him, making it hard for him to breathe.

"I think we need to find a car as soon as possible," Lin Xue said from the front, her voice trembling with tension. "The sooner the better."

Fei Peng nodded, knowing that time was of the essence. He knew the men in black could appear at any moment, and their speed could disrupt all plans. "Do you think we can find a taxi?" Fei Peng asked, trying to hide his anxiety.

“It should be possible.” Lin Xue slowed her pace slightly, a glint in her eyes. “I remember there’s a bustling area ahead where taxis usually pass by.”

Feipeng sighed inwardly, deciding to stop hesitating. He quickened his pace, silently chanting: I can't let them get any closer. If I can escape successfully, perhaps I can find some clues.

Finally, after crossing several streets, they came to a brightly lit area with several taxis waiting for passengers. Fei Peng was overjoyed, clenched his fist, and nodded to Lin Xue, signaling her to rush forward together.

"Quick!" he whispered, his heart racing, as if anticipating the impending conflict.

The two rushed to a taxi parked on the street. Fei Peng opened the car door, and as soon as he sat down, he turned around and said urgently, "To that bar over there! Hurry!"
