"Do you really think this will work?" A deep voice came from the room, tinged with disdain and mockery.

“No problem, just follow the plan.” Another voice responded, its tone tinged with helplessness and fear, “But if they find out about us… that would be troublesome.”

Huang Feipeng's heart sank, realizing that things might be far more complicated than he had imagined. He moved closer and peered through the crack in the door. The room was dimly lit by only a few dim lamps, the light flickering and creating an extremely gloomy atmosphere. Several men were gathered around a table, on which were scattered papers and photographs. One photograph in particular made Huang Feipeng's heart tighten—it was a picture of Xiaoyan, her smile and innocent eyes heartbreaking.

"No matter what, someone has to take responsibility for this," a burly man gritted his teeth. "This is no joke; we're after money!"

"Do you think we can escape?" another person asked nervously. "This guy is not simple. What if he finds us..."

“Enough!” The deep voice rang out again, as if it held unquestionable authority. “As long as we follow the plan, there will be no problem. You don’t need to worry about him. All we need to do is prepare well for this party and make sure Xiaoyan and the others are in our hands.”

"But... what if something happens?" The man's voice betrayed a hint of fear. "I've heard he's a ruthless character; we shouldn't offend him."

Huang Feipeng's heart skipped a beat, realizing they were talking about the dark world he had never encountered before. This "guy" was clearly the mysterious man he had been tracking. A sense of unease washed over him; what kind of vortex had he been drawn into?

“Just follow my orders and don’t ask any questions.” The deep voice remained firm. “Everything will proceed according to plan. Once the party starts, we can reap the benefits.”

"I really hope this all goes well," a man muttered to himself, clearly uneasy.

Huang Feipeng slowly retreated, his mind gradually clearing. He knew he couldn't stay here too long, or he would be discovered. He had to find Xiaoyan and end it all. Just as he was about to leave, he heard hurried footsteps, which made his heart tighten instantly. Turning around, he saw a tall man walking towards him, his expression unusually cold.

"Who are you?" the man suddenly asked, his eyes flashing with wariness.

"I...I was just passing by." Huang Feipeng felt a pang of guilt. Although he tried to remain calm, his voice trembled involuntarily.

"Just passing by? This isn't a place for you." A hint of disdain appeared on the tall man's face, his eyes like sharp blades piercing Huang Feipeng's heart. "Get out of here right now!"

"I just wanted to see what happened..." Huang Feipeng forced a smile, but his heart was filled with endless panic.

"Try saying another word!" The tall man's voice became even more sinister, as if he had developed hostility towards Huang Feipeng.

"I meant no harm!" Huang Feipeng panicked, realizing he might have been exposed, and quickly turned to run away. However, a strong sense of unease welled up inside him as he thought of the girls still trapped, especially Xiao Yan.

The moment he turned around, the tall man behind him lunged forward and swiftly grabbed his wrist. Huang Feipeng felt a sharp pain and was dragged deeper into the room, his palms sweating profusely. He thought to himself, "I absolutely cannot let them catch me; Xiaoyan's life is at stake!"

"Let me go! You can't do this!" He struggled desperately, but the other person's strength was like an iron clamp, holding him tightly, making it impossible for him to break free.

“Listen, you’re so naive!” The tall man gritted his teeth, a sinister glint in his eyes. “This is none of your business. Don’t think we’ll let you off the hook.”

"What do you want to do?" Huang Feipeng couldn't help but ask, secretly surveying his surroundings, trying to find a chance to escape.

"What for? To make you disappear, of course!" the tall man replied with a sneer. "Don't you think we'll allow any interference?"

In a moment of panic, Huang Feipeng had a fleeting thought: "I can't let him call for help, I have to control him first!" He suddenly broke free and quickly turned around, lunging at the man's side, trying to knock him down.

"Are you crazy?!" The tall man was clearly not expecting Huang Feipeng to retaliate, lost his balance, and fell backward.

Huang Feipeng didn't stop, rushing towards the door, wanting to escape this awful place. However, just as he was about to step out, he heard hurried footsteps and whispered curses. He was startled, realizing that someone else might be chasing him.

"Catch him! We can't let him get away!" A deep voice sounded from behind, making Huang Feipeng's heart sink. It seemed he had been discovered; he had to find a safe place as soon as possible.

He turned a corner and ran into a narrow corridor, desperately trying to figure out what to do next. He knew time was of the essence, Xiaoyan's safety was paramount, and he absolutely could not be caught.

During his escape, the image of the short-haired girl's smile flashed through his mind, and the hope in her eyes constantly encouraged him: "I must not give up, I will find you."

Just as he turned a corner, he suddenly encountered a woman dressed in black. Her eyes were cold and ruthless, like a sharp knife. Huang Feipeng's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately realized that he had entered another kind of danger.

"Who are you?" The woman's voice was cold and sharp, like that of a predator scrutinizing its prey.

"I just want to find someone..." Huang Feipeng immediately explained, even though he knew in his heart that his identity had likely already been discovered.

"Looking for someone? You're so naive." The woman sneered, as if she had already seen through his intentions. "You'd better not meddle in other people's business here, or you'll pay the price."

He felt a strong sense of unease, realizing that the woman was clearly hostile towards him. He wanted to retreat, but there was no way out; he was surrounded by the men and had no way to escape.

"What do you want to do?" Huang Feipeng was in a panic, feeling that the situation could spiral out of control at any moment. He desperately sought an opportunity to divert attention.

"What are you doing? We just want to protect our interests." A sinister glint flashed in the woman's eyes. "Unfortunately, you've already been drawn into our plan."
