Night fell again, and Huang Feipeng entered the bar once more, ready to continue his investigation. The atmosphere inside the bar remained lively, the flashing lights of the crowd seemingly continuing their laughter. However, for Huang Feipeng, everything before him felt like a huge shadow, suffocating him.

He found a spot in a corner of the bar, observing the surrounding crowd, trying to find Ah Hui. But the young faces surged in and out like a tide, making him even more anxious. "What should I do if no one can provide any more clues?" he wondered to himself, a sense of powerlessness gradually rising within him.

Just as he was hesitating, he saw Ah Hui reappear at the other end of the bar, seemingly engaged in a lively discussion with his friends. He mustered his courage and decided to approach him again, perhaps Ah Hui still harbored more information.

"Ahui, can we talk?" He stepped forward, trying his best to appear natural.

"You're here again?" Ahui's tone was still indifferent, but this time he didn't immediately refuse. Huang Feipeng felt a glimmer of hope and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"I heard you've had some contact with Xiaoyan recently," Huang Feipeng asked directly, his gaze firm as he tried to remain calm. "Her disappearance might be related to her friends, especially you."

"I told you I don't know!" Ahui's voice sounded somewhat agitated, but Huang Feipeng was unwilling to give up.

"If you know anything, you can tell me." Huang Feipeng's tone remained gentle, as if he wanted to approach Ahui as a friend.

"I really don't know where she went!" Ahui repeated, his tone revealing helplessness and anxiety, as if he was desperately trying to cover something up.

Huang Feipeng scrutinized Ahui, sensing that he was hiding some secret: "If you're unwilling to tell me, then I'll have to investigate your relationship with her." Although these words might put pressure on Ahui, he knew that only by getting closer to the truth could he find Xiaoyan more quickly.

Ahui's eyes flashed, as if he had been provoked, and his expression became flustered: "I have nothing to say. If you want to know, go ask someone else!" After saying that, he turned and left, leaving Huang Feipeng standing there in deep thought.

"Sure enough, he must have something to hide," Huang Feipeng muttered to himself, his thoughts churning. Right now, although Ahui appeared tough, deep down, he was probably also afraid of something.

"I can't rush things," he thought to himself. "Ahui needs time. Maybe I should give him some more time, or ask around for information from other people."

Huang Feipeng looked around, wondering if there were any other opportunities to uncover Ahui's secret. Suddenly, he noticed a young woman dressed in black, whose attire was very similar to Ahui's, and who seemed out of place in the bar's atmosphere.

"Who is she?" Huang Feipeng wondered to himself, deciding to ask her for information.

As he approached the woman, he found her sitting alone at the bar, expressionless. Huang Feipeng hesitated for a moment, then mustered his courage and asked, "Hi, hello! I see you're sitting here alone. Can we chat?"

Huang Feipeng sensed the unease and wariness in the woman's eyes. His heart tightened, but he was unwilling to give up easily. "I just want to know something. Some unusual things have happened here recently." He tried to make his voice sound sincere. "I hope to find some clues."

The woman frowned slightly, seemingly assessing Huang Feipeng's sincerity. She turned her head slightly away, as if unwilling to communicate with him further, but Huang Feipeng caught a hint of hesitation in her eyes and was secretly delighted: "She may have something to say, but she just needs some time and space."

“If you know anything, you can tell me.” He tried to soften his tone, applying some pressure to her trust. “Have you heard of the girl who recently went missing? Her name is Xiaoyan.”

The woman's eyes suddenly became complicated, as if she were struggling internally. Huang Feipeng could sense her emotional fluctuations and began to feel hopeful: "Perhaps this is my chance to get a clue."

“I don’t know her.” She lowered her head, her fingers unconsciously tracing the rim of her wine glass, as if deep in thought. Huang Feipeng could sense her tension, a fear of the secret she was hiding.

"But why do you look so tense?" He stopped pressing the issue and tried to ease the tension. "I'm not here to threaten you, I just hope to find that girl."

“You don’t know where you are.” She finally raised her head, a hint of helplessness and determination in her eyes. “Sometimes, things here are beyond our control.”

Huang Feipeng sensed her inner struggle. He wanted to know more, but didn't want to put more pressure on her. "I understand, sometimes we're powerless too," he said, trying to sound casual. "But if you have any clues, or have heard anything, could you tell me?"

The woman remained silent for a moment, seemingly making a difficult decision. Her face was blurred in the dim light, and Huang Feipeng couldn't discern her emotions, but he felt an increasing sense of urgency.

“I just… I heard some things.” Finally, her voice trembled slightly, as if she was reluctantly revealing a piece of information. “There’s a man who often appears here, and he has connections with many girls, including Xiaoyan, the one you mentioned.”

"A man?" Huang Feipeng asked warily, "What kind of person is he?"

“I don’t know his name, but he always wears black clothes, like a wandering ghost.” The woman’s voice trailed off, as if she was afraid to continue the conversation. “He’s been here for a long time, and everyone avoids him because his eyes are terrifying, like he’s staring at his prey.”

Huang Feipeng's heart skipped a beat; this was indeed the Ahui he had been thinking of. His mind raced: "Is there some unknown connection between this man and Xiaoyan?" However, not wanting to frighten the woman, he tried to keep his voice calm and gentle: "Can you tell me more about him?"

“I don’t know much, I just heard from others that he has ambiguous relationships with the girls in the bar.” The woman trembled slightly. “Some of them disappear for a while, and some come back in a different state, as if they have experienced something unbearable.”

A sudden storm raged in Huang Feipeng's heart as he pondered, "What exactly did these girls go through? Is Ahui one of them?" He felt a sense of unease rising within him and knew that he had to be even more cautious in his response.
