After leaving Liang Tian's office, Huang Feipeng began investigating in various corners of the city. He visited numerous locations related to the case and contacted many people with inside knowledge. Whenever he asked about sensitive topics, he was often met with evasive answers. He gradually discovered that an invisible force in the city was hindering his investigation, a force like a giant net trapping him within it.

Huang Feipeng's investigation gradually attracted some unnecessary attention. One day, he encountered several strange men on the street, their eyes filled with threat. Huang Feipeng's intuition told him that these men might be connected to dark forces. He didn't react violently, but calmly left the scene, knowing that his actions had alerted the enemy.

When Huang Feipeng returned to his apartment, it was already completely dark. The city night seemed peaceful, but an unease stirred within him like an undercurrent. The apartment light shone on the curtains, making his figure appear particularly lonely. He sat at the dining table, his gaze fixed on several documents and photographs on it. The photographs were ones he had collected during his investigation; some were blurry, some were clear, but all revealed key figures connected to the case.

He took out one of the photos and examined it closely. It was of a middle-aged man with a serious expression. Huang Feipeng knew that this man played a crucial role in the entire incident. Every time his investigation was delayed, and every time he got closer to the truth, someone would try to stop him. The appearance of this middle-aged man was not only a key point in the case, but also seemed to represent a much larger force.

Huang Feipeng's thoughts returned to the conversation in Liang Tian's office. The dark forces Liang Tian mentioned filled him with deep unease. The web behind these forces was complex and vast, and he wondered if he alone was strong enough to face them. He had once been invincible in the martial arts world, but in modern society, this solitary battle seemed even more challenging.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, interrupting his thoughts. He stood up, opened the door, and saw a young woman standing outside, dressed simply, with a hint of fear and anxiety in her eyes. Her appearance startled Huang Feipeng. He couldn't help but guess that she might be related to the current case.

"Who are you?" Huang Feipeng asked politely.

“I’m sorry to bother you.” The woman’s voice trembled. “My name is Li Sha. I’ve heard about your recent activities, and I think you need to know some things.” She looked nervous, as if hesitating whether to continue.

Huang Feipeng invited her inside and poured her a glass of water, his eyes filled with concern. He hoped to get some useful information from her, but more importantly, he knew her appearance was no accident.

“Li Sha, why do you think I need to know these things?” Huang Feipeng asked, his voice gentle but firm.

“Because I’ve seen that middle-aged man before.” Lisa’s voice trailed off as she lightly rubbed her fingers along the rim of her glass. “His name is Rock, and he’s a very dangerous man. A few months ago, my friend was implicated in an illegal deal by him and ended up being brutally murdered. Although I don’t have direct evidence, I know that he has a group of accomplices operating in this city.”

Huang Feipeng's heart skipped a beat. Hearing the name and details Li Sha mentioned, he realized he might have stumbled upon a deeper conspiracy. He was familiar with the name Rock, but he never imagined it would be connected to such a complex case.

“Rock’s background is very mysterious. I’ve investigated his background, but I haven’t been able to get anywhere. He has a lot of influence in the city’s underworld. Some people say he has connections with multiple criminal organizations, and his involvement includes illegal transactions, black market auctions, and so on.” Li Sha’s tone revealed a sense of helplessness. “He targeted my friend because my friend inadvertently obtained some of his confidential information.”

Huang Feipeng listened silently, his mind racing with thoughts. He knew that what Li Sha had said was very likely to be key to his next move. Rock and his associates' activities in the city would be his main enemies.

"Do you have any more information?" Huang Feipeng continued, "such as their hiding place, or their other activities?"

Li Sha shook her head. "I know very little. Rock is extremely secretive; he always hides behind various disguises and illusions. But what I can tell you is that he has connections with certain powerful figures in the city. These people might be able to provide some clues, but their relationships are complicated and dangerous."

Huang Feipeng pondered for a moment and decided not to press her for more information. He realized that Li Sha's intelligence alone might not be enough to solve the problem. He needed more clues and a more in-depth investigation.

“Thank you, Li Sha.” Huang Feipeng stood up, his tone firm. “The information you provided was very helpful to me. If you feel any danger, please be careful. I will do my best to protect you.”

Li Sha nodded, stood up, and looked somewhat tired. "I understand, thank you, Huang Feipeng. I hope you can find the truth and end this conspiracy."

Watching her departing figure, Huang Feipeng felt an even stronger sense of responsibility welling up inside him. He knew that he was not only fighting for justice, but also seeking a just ending for the victims. The existence of Rock, and the forces behind him, would be his main challenge. He had to find out the true goals of these forces and completely uncover the veil of this conspiracy.

Huang Feipeng walked down the street in the night, holding the notes he had just received from Li Sha, still processing the information she had provided. The street, dimly lit, was unusually quiet, but Huang Feipeng felt a growing sense of unease. His intuition told him that this investigation was far more complex than he had imagined.

He stopped at the corner café, deciding to take a break. He sat by the window, observing the street scene. He took out his phone and began reviewing the information Lisa had provided. Though fragmented, each piece of information could potentially be key to uncovering Rock's conspiracy.

Suddenly, he noticed a figure loitering on the street. The person was dressed plainly but kept lingering near the coffee shop. Huang Feipeng's intuition told him that this person was not simple. He cautiously observed the other person's actions, and a sense of unease gradually rose in his heart.
