"Then we'll see if you know what's good for you." After saying that, the other party hung up the phone.

Ye Feng slammed his phone onto the table with a loud bang. His breathing became rapid, and his chest heaved violently. Anger, worry, anxiety, and other emotions intertwined, making him almost suffocate.

Night enveloped the entire city, like a gigantic monster opening its blood-red maw to devour all light. The dockside warehouses were eerie and terrifying, filled with a nauseating stench of decay.

Ye Feng arrived at the warehouse entrance alone. In the dim light, several men in black, armed with weapons, watched him warily.

"Ye Feng, you really came." A burly man in black emerged from the shadows; it was the same person who had made the phone call earlier. A ferocious smile played on his lips, and his eyes gleamed with cruelty.

Ye Feng's cold gaze swept over the crowd, finally landing on Chairman Li, who was tied to a chair. Chairman Li's face was covered in wounds, and blood seeped from the corner of his mouth, clearly indicating that he had suffered inhuman torture.

"Release him." Ye Feng's voice was deep and powerful, carrying an unquestionable authority.

"Heh, who do you think you are? Daring to order me around?" The man in black laughed arrogantly. "If you want to save him, then show some sincerity."

"What sincerity?"

"Stop pursuing us and hand over all the evidence," the man in black said, enunciating each word clearly. "Otherwise, you can wait to collect his corpse."

Ye Feng remained silent for a moment, his mind racing as he weighed the pros and cons. He knew that the other party was a desperate criminal, capable of anything.

"Okay, I agree." Ye Feng finally made his choice. He couldn't just stand by and watch his friends die.

"Hahaha, a wise man submits to circumstances." The man in black laughed triumphantly. "Bring the things over."

Ye Feng took a deep breath, took out a USB drive from his pocket, and tossed it to the man in black.

The man in black took the USB drive, examined it carefully, and after confirming that it was correct, he signaled his men to untie the ropes binding Chairman Li.

"Ye Feng, you wait, we'll be back." The man in black said this and then quickly left the warehouse with his men.

Ye Feng quickly walked to Chairman Li's side and helped him stand up.

"Chairman Li, are you alright?" Ye Feng asked with concern.

Mr. Li shook his head weakly and said in a hoarse voice, "Ye Feng, thank you."

Ye Feng patted Chairman Li on the shoulder, a complex look flashing in his eyes. He knew this was just the calm before the storm. This battle was far from over.

Outside the window, the night deepened, and the cold wind howled like the low growl of a wild beast, foreshadowing an even greater crisis to come.

"Let him go." Ye Feng's voice was icy, like a blade chilled to the bone, echoing in the empty warehouse.

The warehouse reeked of engine oil and rust, and the damp air clung to the skin, making it feel suffocating.

The leader of the men in black grinned maliciously and kicked Li Dong's leg with the tip of his shoe. Li Dong groaned, and more blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.

"Ye Feng, who do you think you're negotiating with?" He arrogantly brandished the gun in his hand. "Now, it's your turn to beg me!"

A ruthless glint flashed in Ye Feng's eyes, but he remained outwardly calm.

"I said, let him go. What do you want? We can talk."

His fists were clenched so tightly that his nails almost dug into his flesh. The warehouse was dimly lit, casting long shadows of everyone, like wild beasts lurking in the darkness.

"Talk? Too late!" The leader suddenly raised his gun, pointing it at Chairman Li's head. "Now, I want to watch you suffer! I want to watch you despair!"

Ye Feng's heart sank suddenly, and his stomach churned violently.

Fear, like a cold hand, gripped his throat tightly.

But he forced himself to calm down, took a deep breath, and slowly said, "Are you sure you want to do this? You should know that my security forces can get here at any time. You can't escape."

The leader hesitated for a moment, seemingly weighing the pros and cons. Ye Feng keenly caught the hesitation in his eyes, and he knew he had made the right gamble.

“My men have already surrounded this place,” Ye Feng said firmly, as if victory was assured. “You’d better release them now, and you might be able to get leniency. Otherwise…” He paused deliberately, letting the other party imagine the worst possible outcome.

Outside the warehouse, the wailing of sirens grew louder as they approached, piercing the silent night. The leader's face changed drastically, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. He knew he was surrounded.

"Damn it!" he cursed, glaring fiercely at Ye Feng. "You're ruthless! We'll see!" He shoved Li Dong aside and turned to run away.

"Trying to run? Not so easy!" Ye Feng roared, like a tiger descending a mountain, pouncing on the man in black.

Gunshots and shouts mingled together, deafeningly loud. Inside the warehouse, flames flew everywhere, like a scene from hell.

Ye Feng moved with incredible agility, darting through the hail of bullets like a ghost. He calmly directed his security team, working closely with the police to kill or capture the criminals one by one.

Amidst the smoke and fire, Ye Feng helped up the badly injured Chairman Li, patted him on the shoulder, and said with a hint of lingering fear and relief, "It's alright, Chairman Li."

Mr. Li smiled weakly, his eyes gleaming with gratitude. "Ye Feng, thank you. I owe you another life."

Ye Feng shook his head, looking at the flashing police lights outside the warehouse. The night wind ruffled his hair, and a sense of exhaustion washed over him.

He knew this was just the end of another battle; an even greater challenge awaited him.

The sirens and gunshots gradually faded into the distance, and the dock warehouse returned to calm. Only the lingering smell of gunpowder in the air told the story of the thrilling events that had just occurred.

Ye Feng looked up at the night sky. In the deep night sky, countless stars twinkled, as if silently watching over the guardians of this city.

"Chairman Li, regarding this profit distribution plan, what do you think..." Ye Feng pushed the document in front of Chairman Li, his slender fingers tapping lightly on the edge of the document, producing a dull sound, just like his mood at the moment.

The luxurious office was filled with the faint aroma of cigars. Outside the window was a bustling cityscape at night, and the flashing neon lights reflected on Ye Feng's face, but could not illuminate the gloom in his eyes.

Chairman Li put down his wine glass, the amber liquid inside swirling slightly. "Ye Feng, I'm afraid I can't sign off on this proposal," he sighed, his tone tinged with helplessness and apology.

Ye Feng frowned slightly, a sense of foreboding creeping into his heart. "Chairman Li, this plan was finalized after repeated discussions, and it benefits everyone." He tried to control his emotions, his tone calm.
