Rebirth of a Top Student's Handbook

Chapter 69: Another couple formed.

Zhou Min picked up her phone and saw a message from Chen Sheng: "Why did you tell Li Na about my part-time job?"

Although the tone of voice was not apparent from the words, Zhou Min could still sense Chen Sheng's questioning tone between the lines.

“I’m just worried that you’re putting the cart before the horse and that it will affect your studies.”

"You could have just told me, why did you send it to Li Na?"

Zhou Min got angry when she saw Chen Sheng's persistent attitude.

"Li Na and I are good friends. I have something to say to her. Is there a problem?"

Zhou Min felt like she was being bitten by the hand that feeds her, ungrateful for someone's kindness. Her intentions were good for Chen Sheng, but their relationship had been strained in recent years, so she spoke directly to Li Na.

It was just a trivial matter, but she didn't expect Chen Sheng to question her so directly.

"From now on, you don't need to meddle in other people's business. Mind your own business."

Zhou Min was furious when she saw this and replied directly: "Fine, if I ever bother with your petty affairs again, I'm a dog."

After replying to the message, Zhou Min threw her phone on the table and slumped onto the sofa, panting heavily.

Zhou Min felt increasingly upset, especially since she felt she hadn't performed well earlier, and she wanted to hurl a few more insults. However, when she picked up her phone, she found that Chen Sheng had stopped replying. If she continued to hurl insults, she would appear unreasonable and petty.

Zhou Min felt increasingly aggrieved and, in anger, blocked Chen Sheng. Since her relationship with Chen Sheng had never been good anyway, and after today's incident, they probably wouldn't get along in the future, there was no need to keep such an eyesore in her phone.

Zhou Min's personality is actually a bit extreme; she often experiences intense love and intense hatred. So even though she wholeheartedly wished Chen Sheng a good future, she was so angry with him that she never wanted to contact him again.

Unfortunately, Zhou Min only thought about it, because they were in the same large class and would not only meet during large lectures, but also frequently after class.

That day, Zhou Min had just finished shopping at the school supermarket when someone called out to her.

"Liu Yuanyuan! What a coincidence, what are you doing here?" Zhou Min turned around and was very surprised to see Liu Yuanyuan.

"Yes, my cousin and I came to visit you guys. They said we'd get together tonight, so you should come too. You left early last time, but you absolutely have to come today."

"Okay, where are they now?" Zhou Min hadn't seen her old classmates for a long time, so she was very happy to see them again.

"I'm on the playground. I'm here to buy some water. Do you want to come with me?"

"Okay, but you'll have to wait until I get my things back to the dorm. Do you want to wait for me?"

"Okay, then I'll wait for you here." Liu Yuanyuan was very happy that Zhou Min was willing to go with her.

"Okay, I'll head back now." Zhou Min returned immediately after delivering the things to the dormitory.

On the way to the playground with Liu Yuanyuan, Zhou Min listened to Liu Yuanyuan tell many interesting stories about school. Zhou Min found it all very boring. Zhou Min thought: I must be getting old.

When Zhou Min and Liu Yuanyuan arrived at the playground, everyone was very happy.

"Hey, Sister Min is here." Seeing Zhou Min arrive, Xu Li immediately came over to greet her warmly.

Zhou Min turned her head and saw not only Xu Lingyuan, but also Li Na and Chen Sheng.

Although Zhou Min was still angry with the two men, she was very happy to be able to reunite with so many old classmates.

Almost all of my junior high school classmates who studied in the capital were present, except for Lin Xin.

"I'll call Lin Xin," Liu Yuanyuan said, taking out her phone.

Liu Yuanyuan's school and Lin Xin's school were relatively close, and the two often played together. So Liu Yuanyuan fully expected that Lin Xin would come whenever he called, since she often said that she missed her old classmate.

"She said she had something to do and couldn't come." Liu Yuanyuan felt a little disappointed after hanging up the phone.

"It's alright, we have enough for a whole table," Xu Li quickly said, trying to lighten the mood.

At noon, everyone gathered in a private room and chatted about their recent studies and life.

"I recommend a game to you guys, Tian Long Ba Bu, it's really fun. And you can even make money from it." Xu Li started his usual routine again.

Zhou Min was quite dismissive of Xu Li's efforts to cultivate an image of someone who loved to play and didn't study. She had thought he would tone it down a bit in college, but it turned out he was still just as fond of putting on an act.

"I'm playing too, but I haven't found a way to make money here," Zhu Da immediately asked when he heard it was possible. Zhu Da was also short of money right now.

Zhou Min attended junior high school in a small town, so most of her classmates came from rural areas and few were well-off. Only Xu Lingyuan and Li Na's families were relatively better off.

Xu Lingyuan's parents were both in business, which is why he had so much pocket money to squander on Zhou Min during junior high school.

"Selling equipment, selling silver, selling pets, farming dungeons—there are many ways to do it. The main thing is that there are a lot of people, so things are easy to sell," Xu Li immediately began to talk.

"What's the game called?" Chen Sheng asked with great interest, knowing that ever since he started dating, he hadn't had enough money to spend each month.

"The Eight Legions of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," Xu Li replied.

Chen Sheng immediately pulled out his phone and started searching on Baidu. Zhou Min couldn't help but roll her eyes. He'd brought this on himself; his tutoring job was already affecting his studies enough, and now he wanted to play games too.

But Zhou Min was too lazy to care about him anymore, lest her good intentions be taken for granted again.

"You shouldn't play anymore. Your studies are so demanding right now, it wouldn't be good if your grades dropped," Liu Yuanyuan said worriedly. Liu Yuanyuan is studying law, and although she hasn't started her major courses yet, she's already feeling overwhelmed by all the terms and legal provisions.

“You should learn from Li Na. Being your boyfriend is really tough,” Xu Li immediately exclaimed.

Zhou Min immediately looked up at Zhu Da. In her opinion, Xu Li had always been the type of person that girls didn't like, and Xu Lingyuan was Liu Yuanyuan's cousin. Chen Sheng was already Li Na's boyfriend, so the only possible one here was Zhu Da.

Zhou Min glanced at Chen Sheng and Li Na, then at Liu Yuanyuan and Zhu Da. She really didn't expect that these people, who didn't have early romances in junior high and high school, would start dating in college.

Zhou Min recalled Lin Xin's enthusiasm for Xu Lingyuan back in their school days and couldn't help but suspect that the two were having an affair, especially since Lin Xin and Liu Yuanyuan's friendship had suddenly become very close.

Thinking of this, Zhou Min couldn't help but glance at Xu Lingyuan, after all, she remembered that Xu Lingyuan used to have quite high standards.

"Why are you looking at me?" Xu Lingyuan asked with a smile as soon as he saw Zhou Min's gaze.

Now that Zhou Min has successfully entered her ideal university, she no longer feels disgusted by Xu Lingyuan. Thinking back, she realized that she must have viewed him with prejudice in her past life. Otherwise, why wouldn't he be the short and stocky person she remembered?

Although Xu Lingyuan no longer has the outstanding looks he had in junior high school, he is still a handsome guy, especially with his delicate features, which make him very pleasing to the eye.

"Is it really necessary? You won't even let me see? Then you might as well just wear a mask when you go out from now on." Zhou Min felt disgusted as soon as she saw Xu Lingyuan's smug look. There was nothing she could do; her past experiences had been too foolish.

"Sister Min, look, there are already two couples here. The only three singles are me, you, and Xu Lingyuan. Do you want to choose between me and Xu Lingyuan?" Xu Li said, half-jokingly and half-seriously.

"You? Forget it, I don't want to hear ducks quacking every day from now on." Even though Xu Li had passed puberty, his voice hadn't changed much; it was still the rough, hoarse voice of his puberty days, which was quite unpleasant to hear.

Zhou Min is not only attracted to good looks, but also to good voices.

"Xu Li, forget about me. What do you think of me, Zhou Min?" After the college entrance examination, Xu Lingyuan completely relaxed. Actually, he had liked Zhou Min before, but he didn't dare to indulge himself because of his studies. But he didn't know when it started, Zhou Min gradually began to hate him. After the college entrance examination, he found that Zhou Min basically ignored him.

If Zhou Min knew what Xu Lingyuan was thinking, she would definitely spit on him.

Xu Lingyuan in junior high was a complete idiot. He was jealous of people who were better than him and looked down on people who were worse than him. He was a total psychopath.

"I like guys who are at least 180cm tall, so you guys can forget about it." Even if Xu Lingyuan wasn't 170cm like Zhou Min remembered, he was at most around 175cm.

"So it seems only Zhu Da is satisfied, right? Zhu Da, you weigh 180 pounds, right?" Xu Li deliberately misinterpreted Zhou Min's meaning.

"Get out of here, Zhu Da is mine." Liu Yuanyuan immediately straddled Zhu Da's arm. Zhou Min felt a chill run down her spine at the sight of Liu Yuanyuan's possessive behavior.
