Rebirth of a Top Student's Handbook

Chapter 45 Changing Beds? No Way!

This was the first time Han Bin had ever seen so many students from any school get into the capital university at once, so he was stunned for a moment, and then he was immediately targeted by these parents.

Han Bin maintained a cool, aloof expression the entire way, giving these parents no opening. What a joke! He was still a child himself; why should he take care of others? At that moment, he really wanted to bring his unreasonable mother along so she could have a go at these people.

After arriving at school, Han Bin thought for a moment and then, when no one was looking, exchanged phone numbers with Zhou Min.

"You can call me if anything happens, but don't give my number to anyone else." After saying that, Han Bin took the opportunity to slip away.

Although Zhou Min was happy to have met a senior student as soon as she arrived at school, she gave up on the idea when she thought of his sour face, after all, she was a person with a strong sense of self-respect.

Because everyone's majors and colleges were different, they separated when they arrived at the school and looked for the registration point. Zhou Min finally found the Computer Science Department's registration point in the square. After handing over her admission notice and college entrance examination admission ticket, she received a file bag. Zhou Min opened the file bag and saw the freshman registration process, some receipts for collecting items, and a key with her dormitory number written on it.

Although Zhou Min and Chen Sheng were both in the School of Computer Science, they were led by different senior students to collect their daily necessities and return to their dormitories because of their different genders.

After the senior student helped Zhou Min collect all her personal belongings, he left immediately. Today was the first day of freshman registration, and the volunteers were all very busy.

Zhou Min found her bed, put her things on the table under the bed, and then took the newly received quilt and pillow to the place where quilts are aired out.

Zhou Min checked her belongings, then went straight to the school store she had just seen and bought some towels, a cooling mat, and a fan before returning to her dormitory. She filled a basin with water from the school-provided washbasin and began wiping her bed and desk with towels. As for the cooling mat, she had already washed it and placed it on the balcony to dry.

By the time Zhou Min finished wiping everything, it was noon. Exhausted, Zhou Min sat down for a short while before taking her meal card to the cafeteria for lunch. The senior student had already told her where the cafeteria was when he brought her there that morning.

Exhausted and hungry, Zhou Min ate a quick meal and bought a bottle of water before returning to her dormitory.

When I got back to the dorm, I found that someone was already there.

"Hello, are you Zhou Min? My name is Mao Yating, you can call me Tingting." A very cute girl walked over when she saw Zhou Min come in.

"Hello, my name is Zhou Min, you can also call me Minmin." After greeting the other girl, Zhou Min looked at her.

"Aren't you annoying? Don't you know that?!" The girl angrily hung up the phone and walked away with a sour face, without even glancing at Zhou Min and Mao Yating.

Looking at the scene before her, Zhou Min felt as if she had returned to her past life. Although her roommates in her past life were not them, the beginning seemed to be the same. Zhou Min suddenly became very worried that her roommates in this life would be just as awful as those in her past life.

"Minmin, can I switch beds with you? I don't like the bed near the toilet," Mao Yating said, shaking Zhou Min's hand and pouting.

"Hehe, I don't like it either." Zhou Min said, pulling away from Mao Yating's hand and preparing to sit down in her own seat.

Looking towards her seat, Zhou Min was taken aback because one of her parents, who she didn't recognize, was sitting in her chair, and the other was sitting at her desk, with her fan turned on and blowing on them.

"We'll just sit and rest for a bit, then we'll leave," they said apologetically, seeing Zhou Min's gaze, but they didn't stand up.

Zhou Min felt that this must be even more extreme than her roommate in her previous life, as she had never had such an experience on the first day of her previous life.

"Uncle, could you please move aside? I need to get something." Zhou Min said as she walked to her desk.

Seeing Zhou Min's reaction, the middle-aged man could only stand up, walk to the bed opposite Zhou Min, pull over a chair, and kick the fan towards himself. The middle-aged woman quickly moved her chair towards the fan vent as well.

Zhou Min walked to her desk and pulled out the drawer that wasn't completely dry, letting it air dry some more.

Mao Yating returned to her parents' side, somewhat unhappy, and muttered to herself.

"Hello, classmate, I'm Tingting's mother. Tingting has always been in poor health, and this is her first time living at school. Her bed is too damp. Could you switch with her?"

"I'm sorry, Auntie, this is my first time living in a dormitory, and I'm not feeling well either." Zhou Min thought, "Does my good health come from eating your rice?" She wouldn't allow it. Zhou Min didn't believe that the 3-meter difference in bed space could have such a big impact on her health.

"You child, I think I should talk to your parents. Where are your parents?" Ma Yating's mother looked at Zhou Min with a disappointed expression, as if Zhou Min was being very immature.

“My parents didn’t come. They think I can manage on my own. After all, I’m already so old, and I don’t need my parents to accompany me for everything.” Zhou Min said, “If I were a child, I might still fall for that, but sorry, I’m already a grown-up.”

Ma Yating's mother looked embarrassed by Zhou Min's words and wanted to say something, but was stopped by Mao Yating's father.

Seeing everyone packing their things, Zhou Min felt bored being alone, so she went downstairs to the supermarket. There, she unleashed her shopaholic nature, buying everything she needed and might need, until she was almost bursting at the seams.

Back in the dorm, Zhou Min found that the last student had arrived. Seeing that the desks and cabinets were dry, Zhou Min put her things down and began tidying up.

Having done these things before, Zhou Min's first step was to make the bed. She first took the bamboo mat from the balcony and laid it out, then ran outside to bring back the quilt that had been drying in the sun and put it into the four-piece bedding set she had brought.

"Why are you using this? It will affect the tidiness of our dormitory." Mao Yating said unhappily, looking at Zhou Min's pink four-piece bedding set.

"The set I was given is still wet after washing." Zhou Min has a slight obsession with cleanliness. She simply cannot stand these unwashed fabrics touching her skin. Her skin has always been sensitive and prone to allergies, so Zhou Min is always very careful about these things.

“You know perfectly well that this is the only way to do it, yet you still wash it. You’re doing it on purpose,” Mao Yating persisted.

Although Mao Yating is very cute, even her current complaining sounds like she's being coquettish, Zhou Min, being a tomboy, has always been jealous of cute girls who can be coquettish. Seeing Mao Yating's adorable appearance only made Zhou Min angrier.

"It's none of your business. I can do whatever I want with my own bed sheet."

"How can you talk like that, child? Tingting only meant well." Mao Yating's mother felt heartbroken to see her precious daughter being scolded.

Zhou Min silently continued making the bed, and Mao Yating's family found her behavior rather boring. After she stopped speaking, the dormitory fell into complete silence.
