After chatting for a while longer, the restaurant finally started serving the dishes.

The hungry crowd forgot about chatting and quickly found seats to start drinking and chatting.

As the future "new son-in-law," Gong Yu became the focus of everyone's "care."

After several unsuccessful attempts to stop him, Zhou Min could only watch helplessly as Teacher Gong was forced to drink one glass of wine after another.

Fortunately, Mr. Gong's face turns red very quickly after drinking; after just two glasses, his face and neck were already flushed. Seeing this, the elders at the table immediately stopped urging him to drink more.

Uncle Zheng, who had been the most insistent on urging Zhou Min to drink, looked at Zhou Min sheepishly and explained, "You just said he couldn't hold his liquor, I thought he was just being modest!"

"Looking at him now, it's not that he can't hold his liquor! He just can't drink at all! Next time, just tell him he can't drink."

“I’ve told you so many times that he can’t drink, he can’t drink. But you just won’t listen.”

"I'll understand next time, I'll understand next time." Seeing that Zhou Min was a little angry, Uncle Zheng quickly came over to smooth things over.

Not wanting Zhou Min to argue with her elders because of her, Gong Yu quickly pulled Zhou Min aside and explained, "It's nothing, I just get flushed from drinking."

"Have a glass of water first!"

Zhou Min felt a little guilty.

When has Teacher Gong, who is usually so radiant and graceful, ever been so disheveled?

Seeing Zhou Min's demeanor, everyone felt even more embarrassed to act like elders anymore. Even Uncle Zheng, who had been the most vocal in his teasing, raised his glass to apologize to Teacher Gong.

Seeing this, Gong Yu immediately picked up his wine glass as well.

How could a junior accept such an apology from an elder so casually?

Gong Yu was about to decline when she felt her hand lighten, and then a water glass was handed to her.

Gong Yu was stunned for a moment, and before she could react, she heard Uncle Zheng say, "Yes, yes, you can just drink tea instead of wine. Minmin is so thoughtful and knows how to care for people."

The other elders at the table also laughed and agreed.

Gong Yu, who was already drinking against his will, went along with it and started drinking tea instead of alcohol.

Seeing this, Zhou Min finally breathed a sigh of relief.

When the seating was being arranged, Zhou Min didn't really want to sit with these male elders. They smoked and drank, and always liked to put on airs at the table. If she could, Zhou Min really didn't want to eat at the same table with them.

Unfortunately, Mr. Gong, whom they considered their "new son-in-law," was expected to be well taken care of when the newcomer arrived. So, Mr. Gong was naturally pulled to the table with the male elders.

Knowing all too well what her relatives and elders were like, how could Zhou Min feel at ease letting Teacher Gong eat with them alone?

Even though she followed along and tried her best to stop her, Teacher Gong was still forced to drink a few glasses of wine, but thankfully she has stopped now.

And so, the group of people finally finished their meal and drinks in the smoke-filled private room.

Pushing open the door to the private room, I found that the other private rooms had already finished eating.

Zhou Min glanced at the time; it was already late. She then said directly, "Let's go back to the hotel now!"

The driver has been accompanying them for the past two days. Since they can't drink and drive, they ate in another private room and have already finished eating. They're standing in the corner of the corridor smoking and waiting.

Uncle Zheng was still clearly reluctant to part, and he was holding Gong Yu's hand as he said, "Gong, what are your plans? Why don't you just come back to the hotel with us? Minmin is staying there too."

Other relatives, upon hearing this, also gathered around.

Seeing this, Zhou Min quickly snatched Teacher Gong's hand from Uncle Zheng's hand and said, "Teacher Gong... Gong Yu's home is nearby, I'll drive him back."

Zhou Min dared not let Teacher Gong stay with them any longer, especially Aunt Zheng's husband after he had been drinking.

Uncle Zheng, who hasn't been drinking, is already quite talkative. After drinking, he becomes even more clingy, hugging and cuddling, and calling each other brothers are just minor things.

The scariest thing is that he might pull someone aside and start complaining, crying and talking nonstop.

At that point, I really won't be able to leave.

Zhou Min simply couldn't imagine the scene of Teacher Gong being held and crying by Uncle Zheng.

But the other relatives obviously didn't think so. They all gathered around and urged, "Why go back? Why don't you just come back to the hotel with us? We can go out together tomorrow."

"That's right! It's so late, it's not safe for a girl like you to be running around like this..."

Seeing that everyone was getting more and more excited, Zhou Min was too lazy to argue with them any longer. She simply pulled Gong Yu along and said, "The security here is very good, and the roads are well-lit. Let's go first."

"You should have the driver take you back to the hotel yourselves! Uncle, could you please count the number of people so no one is left behind?"

As they were talking, Zhou Min had already led Teacher Gong downstairs.

As they exited the private restaurant and were about to get into the car, Zhou Min suddenly noticed that the two were holding hands tightly.

After awkwardly letting go, Zhou Min quickly climbed into the driver's seat, fastened her seatbelt, and started the car with a serious expression.

After getting into the passenger seat, Teacher Gong simply closed her eyes and leaned back in the seat.

Neither of them spoke, and the car fell silent for a moment.

And so, Zhou Min drove in silence all the way to Teacher Gong's building.

After parking the car, Mr. Gong did not make any move, remaining with his eyes closed and leaning back in his chair.

Zhou Min was a little worried that Teacher Gong had drunk too much and fallen asleep, so she called out to him twice, but Teacher Gong still didn't respond.

Zhou Min quickly leaned forward and gently pushed Teacher Gong. Just as she was about to push him a second time, her hand was grabbed.

Gong Yu opened her eyes and saw Zhou Min looking at her with a nervous and concerned expression.

Gong Yu forced a smile and said reassuringly, "I'm fine, just a little hot."

Perhaps because he had just woken up, Teacher Gong's voice was a little hoarse.

Inside the quiet car, there was a strange feeling of whispers in my ear.

As Mr. Gong spoke, he used his other hand to tug at the collar of his shirt.

Following Teacher Gong's movements, Zhou Min inevitably noticed at a glance the delicate, smooth lines of Teacher Gong's collarbone, which was faintly visible at the neckline, and her skin, flushed red from drinking alcohol.

Zhou Min was stunned for a moment, her mind racing with thoughts.
