Quick Transmigration: I Actually Became a System Bug

Chapter 329 Purebloods and Half-Bloods in the Magical World (38)

It's too early to talk about that now, after all, the cave is full of all sorts of curses and dark magic marks, and the curse alone is enough to give the two of them a hard time.

After all, they still wanted to preserve Regulus's body, so the method of using lightning to cleanse the ground was not feasible for the time being, since after that thing blasted the ground, not even a trace would remain.

Since they cannot break the deadlock through brute force, and their combined abilities are insufficient for a technological breakthrough, they can only intensify their learning efforts and strive to achieve a qualitative change as soon as possible.

And so, on the first night of the second academic year, the two chatted for what seemed like days before finally falling into a deep sleep, their heads touching.

The next morning, Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu followed the crowd out of the dormitory. After a busy holiday, Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu had made great progress in their relationship with most of the Slytherin students. The group chatted and laughed, and seemed to be in a harmonious atmosphere.

The two sat down near the center of the long table and began to eat. Ji Han looked at the tempting steamed buns in front of him and for some reason had a strong urge to finish them quickly.

Having experienced so many worlds, Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu had unwavering faith in their instincts to seek advantage and avoid harm. So, they decisively ended their polite conversation with those around them and buried themselves in their food.

As a result, the two of them ate a little late. Just as they were halfway through their pumpkin porridge, hundreds of owls suddenly flew into the auditorium. Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu quickly protected their bowls, but this meant they couldn't protect their ears immediately.

By the time they realized what was happening, they saw a large red envelope floating in the air, and amidst the horrified gazes of the crowd, waves of sound surged forth.

"Ron Weasley!"

"How dare you steal that car! I'm furious!"

"Your father is now under investigation by his employer. This is all your fault!"

"If you dare to make any more mistakes, we'll come and bring you back right now!"

What's even harder to believe is that the roaring letter, which was just moments before baring its teeth and threatening to bite Ron, instantly softened its voice at the end.

"Oh, dear Ginny, congratulations on getting into Gryffindor! Your father and I are so proud of you!"

After delivering its message, the roaring letter tore itself into dozens of pieces, which drifted down from mid-air, leaving the entire auditorium in complete silence.

After what seemed like five or ten minutes, the people in the auditorium finally realized what was happening, and bursts of laughter erupted from all sides.

Poor Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu, because of their heightened senses, had their ears still ringing non-stop until class started. As for the pumpkin porridge they had painstakingly protected, well, it had long since been taken away by the little elf.

However, the tinnitus that started in the morning wasn't the worst thing that happened that day; it was just the beginning of a terrible day.

The first class of the new Slytherin term was Defense Against the Dark Arts. However, even though Ji Han and Shi Shaoyu sat in the far corner of the classroom early, they still couldn't escape the torment of this incompetent new professor.

Can someone tell them why professors choose people to answer questions starting from the last row? And why they choose from the innermost corner of the last row?

When Ji Han was called to stand up, he felt terrible. Fortunately, when the second-year textbooks were bought, he and Shi Shaoyu had habitually flipped through each one first. Although many key points required repeated study, one reading was enough for the newly appointed Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Lockhart.
