Chapter 215 Parents' Meeting
Bo Bing woke up early the next morning.
Bo Yuntian was still in bed when he was woken up by the sound of Bo Bing getting up.
"Brother, what time is it?"
Bo Bing put on her shoes. "I'm going to the park for my morning exercise at 5:30. You can sleep a little longer. I'll bring you breakfast when I get back."
Bo Yuntian glanced at his watch, turned over, and said, "Okay, thanks, brother."
Then I went back to sleep.
Bo Bing put on a light down jacket, washed her face, and went out.
The park here is so close to the school that it's not far from my rented apartment either. There's a temple in the park, and the temple fair used to be held here. I warmed up with a run, jogging slowly down the street, feeling my muscles stretch and warm up slightly.
There were already many elderly people in the park, so Bo Bing was considered late to arrive.
The park is quite large. In winter, the artificial lake is almost completely empty, with only a small amount of water at the bottom frozen into green ice.
Thin ice ripples around the lake buildings, which resemble a jade belt, and occasionally you can hear the sounds of old ladies dancing in the square and old men shouting as they exercise their lung capacity.
The streetlights cast a dim yellow glow, creating a unique atmosphere before dawn.
Bo Bing warmed up her muscles with her usual bodyweight exercises, and her beautiful pull-up bar moves even attracted a lot of elderly men to watch and cheer.
He could clearly feel that his physical condition had improved a lot. This was the effect of the system. Bo Bing was very satisfied with his current physical condition. His frostbite had also been healed a lot by the effect of [Yongquan]. Apart from the occasional slight pain in the steel plate in his left hand, his body had almost recovered.
After exercising for more than an hour, Bo Bing stretched and relaxed his muscles, then went to a stall near the school gate and bought soy milk and fried dough sticks. He ate his portion right there, and took one for Bo Yuntian. When he left, he asked the owner to pack it up and keep it warm.
I got back a little after seven.
Li Yumei hadn't finished her night shift at the factory yet, and Bo Yuntian seemed to still be asleep.
Bo Bing opened the bedroom door, and the boy sat up when he heard the noise.
"Brother, you are back."
The boy, with his messy hair, looked into Bo Bing's hand and said, "Soy milk and fried dough sticks! Thanks, bro."
Bo Yuntian got dressed, got out of bed, and washed up.
"Actually, I can sleep a little longer," Bo Bing said, lying on Bo Yuntian's lower bunk, yawning sleepily.
"Brother, you should rest for a while."
Bo Yuntian spoke with a toothbrush in his mouth, "I'll lie down for a while after I finish eating, otherwise breakfast will get cold and won't taste good."
Bo Bing nodded in agreement, and then took another short nap.
It feels great to take a nap after waking up.
At 8:30, she was woken up by Bo Yuntian and asked to go out.
There were already many parents and students at the school gate, a huge crowd waiting for the gate to open.
"Bo Yuntian! Xiao Yun!"
A chubby man wearing blue-rimmed glasses waved at him, "Here!"
When Bo Yuntian saw him, he waved and led Bo Bing toward the fat man.
Standing next to the fat man was a middle-aged woman wearing glasses, who appeared to be a rather fashionable urban woman. When she saw Bo Yuntian approaching, she quickly scanned Bo Yuntian and Bo Bing from head to toe.
"Hai Zi," Bo Yuntian said, bumping fists with the fat man and smiling at the woman, "Hello, Auntie, I'm Bo Yuntian."
"Mom! This is my buddy, Xiaoyun!"
The fat man, nicknamed Hai Zi, was wearing a pair of trendy pointed shoes. He was big and sturdy, about the same height as Bo Bing, but looked more than two sizes bigger. He was wearing a black down jacket.
Upon hearing that it was Bo Yuntian, the woman's attitude became much warmer.
"Oh, is this your friend Xiaoyun?"
The woman patted Bo Yuntian on the shoulder, "Look how handsome this kid is, and he's good at studying too. Haizi, you should learn from him."
Bo Yuntian was a little embarrassed by the praise.
"Oh dear, Mom! How could Xiaoyun's head be the same size as mine?"
Hai Zi pouted and started whispering to Bo Yuntian.
"Hey, you fatso! What brings you here so early!"
A crew-cut boy with a light stubble followed them over. The boy was about the same height as Bo Yuntian and had a somewhat reckless attitude. He immediately put his arm around Bo Yuntian's shoulder and asked, "Yuntian, who's coming to your parent-teacher conference today?"
"my brother."
"Your brother?"
The crew-cut boy turned around and saw the young man standing behind Bo Bing.
The young man had a sharp buzz cut, calm eyes, and a tall stature. Standing there, he exuded a powerful presence among ordinary people.
Wow! Your brother is actually quite handsome!
The crew-cut boy was stunned for a moment, perhaps intimidated by Bo Bing's appearance, and his tongue even tied itself in knots. "Brother, well, I'm Xiao Yun's good brother, my name is Xu He."
"I'm Wang Haijiang, the three of us are in the same class now," the tall, chubby boy next to him chimed in, "Brother, you can call me Haizi!"
“I am Xiaoyun’s older brother, Bo Bing.”
Bo Bing nodded to them, "Thank you for taking care of Xiaoyun."
The school gates are open.
Bo Bing entered the campus, where the senior high school area had a serious and tense atmosphere that even Bo Bing could feel as she walked in.
The banners displayed read things like, "Raise your score by one point, surpass a hundred others," "There is a path to the mountain of books, and diligence is the way; the sea of learning is boundless, and hard work is the boat," and "Strive for a year, and you will have no regrets in your life." All of these were words of encouragement for senior high school students to work hard and strive for excellence.
For ordinary children here, this is the only way to leave the village with dignity.
Bo Bing felt a little envious, but also a little sorry for these hardworking children.
He had seen Bo Yuntian's early morning and late night routine.
There are 55 students in the class, including two art transfer students who are studying science. Bo Bing sat in the classroom, listening to the homeroom teacher give a summary of the semester.
Bo Yuntian remains in first place.
Bo Bing looked at the certificate of merit that the homeroom teacher had given to Bo Yuntian on the table, and slightly curled the corners of her lips. She suddenly felt a sense of pride.
Xu He ranked seventh and Hai Zi ranked twenty-second. Both of them improved their rankings compared to before.
What caught Bo Bing's attention was the girl ranked second, Zhao Yue.
He vaguely remembered that this girl was the one who had asked his younger brother to go to the temple fair with him when Li Laosan was hospitalized and who had asked him questions. She seemed to be the classmate who often competed with Bo Yuntian for first place.
First, three outstanding student representatives spoke. After the first three spoke, two more students who had made progress spoke.
They mostly talked about their own learning experiences.
Zhao Yue's father and the parent of the third-place winner both seriously shared their experiences. When it was Bo Bing's turn, Bo Bing became inexplicably nervous.
He stood up but didn't say anything too complicated. He only said that he wouldn't put too much pressure on Bo Yuntian's studies. Compared to high-pressure studying, what the family needs more is affection and love. This way, the child can concentrate on studying at school and relax at home, studying when he should study and playing when he should play.
Bo Bing's words resonated with many parents who nodded in agreement.
The young man secretly breathed a sigh of relief, and as he watched the teacher move on to the next item, he secretly took out his vibrating phone.
as predicted.
[Flower] Good morning, have you eaten yet?
[Flower] How did you sleep last night? What was your godfather doing?
[ICE] I've already eaten. I'm currently attending a parent-teacher conference for Xiaoyun, and I just spoke as a parent. I was so nervous.
[ICE] Luckily, I managed to get away with it.
Yin Su smiled gently, seemingly already imagining the anxious look on the young man's face on the other end of the phone.
【Flower】I miss it so much.
[Flower] Were you nervous when you attended parent-teacher conferences for me in the past?
Bo Bing was somewhat stunned.
Those memories are long gone. It wasn't the first or second time I'd had my assistant or someone else attend a parent-teacher conference in my place.
【ICE】Maybe.
He thought for a moment, then gently typed the words.
This is just a fragment of memory.
