Reborn in the Entertainment Industry: Second Life
Chapter 149 First Steps on the Film Set
Bo Bing stopped getting entangled with the troublesome guy.
Yin Su wasn't angry at being ignored. After taking a shower, he stuck to the young man's bed again. Turning his head, he could see Bo Bing sending a message to Bo Yuntian, reminding him to take care of his health, study hard, and not to save money for the sake of saving money.
The young man glanced at him, seemingly unsurprised by the movie star's behavior.
Watching Bo Bing talk to her brother, who was not related to her by blood, Xiao Lang felt a little uncomfortable.
—She's never cared about me this much before, but now she's so attentive to someone she's only known for a few months, worrying about them every other day...
"They're really good to Bo Yuntian."
“You weren’t bad to me either,” Bo Bing said without looking up. “Otherwise, I would have exposed your past and sent you back to Beijing back then. Would I have let you pretend for so long?”
Yin Su's eyes darkened slightly, but his voice remained as clear and gentle as ever.
"How much does your godfather know?"
Yin Su leaned against the young man's shoulder, his tone calm and collected.
“I’m not blind,” Bo Bing locked her phone, gestured with her chin at him, and said, “Go back to your bed, I’m going to sleep.”
But it's quite obvious that Yin Su isn't someone who can be easily sent back.
"Close protection, Godfather," the man said, sweeping his long hair to one side. His deep, almond-shaped eyes gazed at the young man, and he spoke in a calm tone, "If something happens to me, Godfather won't get the money either."
The young man was taken aback by the hidden meaning in the words.
"Do they still dare to take action?"
The man gave a soft hum and said nothing more. He pulled the covers up comfortably and closed his eyes. Bo Bing glanced at him, the words swirling at the tip of her tongue, but she had no choice but to give up.
But seemingly used to having someone sleeping next to her, Bo Bing found herself getting sleepy as she listened to the even breathing.
Yin Su's shower gel...smells pretty good.
Bo Bing thought about it and gradually fell asleep.
A dreamless night.
The next day, when Bo Bing woke up, he found that Yin Su had already left. He glanced at his phone and saw that it was almost eleven o'clock. After washing up, he went to the filming location with Li Ling, who had been left to wait for him.
Filming has already started inside.
There were almost no scenes with Bo Bing in the Southeast Asian scenes; he came to see how Yin Su and the others acted first.
For Bo Bing, this was a novel experience.
He had only seen movies before and had no idea about the behind-the-scenes filming process. It's not like a reality show where you just need to film scenes from real life and edit them. Wang Chang is extremely strict with his work. He strives for perfection in composition, blocking, and details. With screenwriter Wu in charge of the overall script, actors who don't perform well will inevitably be criticized.
A well-organized work process.
The Southeast Asia scene was filmed as a flashback for Cui Ye, played by Yin Su. Cui Ye's injury was sustained during his battle with the protagonist, Zhang Feng.
It wasn't that Zhang Feng broke the rules, but rather that someone had placed a bet on Zhang Feng, fearing that he would lose to Cui Ye, who came to challenge him. So, during the match, they disregarded the rules and secretly shot and injured Cui Ye, forcing him to retreat.
When Bo Bing walked in, everyone had different expressions, but no one insulted him to his face.
Bo Bing was naturally used to all of this. Director Wang Chang was intently watching the monitor, while Bo Bing bowed slightly to the screenwriter and then chose a seat for herself.
The guys who caused trouble earlier have already been packed up and sent back. Besides, Yin Su's men are still around the venue. Now no one dares to step on Bo Bing's head and make a fuss. They are just secretly observing this gloomy-looking young man.
The humming of the machine.
Large ensemble scenes have stricter requirements for the scene. Today's scenes require about 70% of the actors to appear on screen. After each shot is filmed, the crew members frantically direct the action with megaphones, agents hand out water and wipe away sweat, and makeup artists take advantage of the breaks to touch up the actors' makeup.
The scene was actually quite fragmented, with artificial lighting that was a bit too strong, and countless machines in front of the set.
Two worlds.
Bo Bing thought.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the director starting to replay the footage, so he moved closer to Wang Chang and peeked over the monitor. What he saw was a truly stunning scene.
Even bland, or even chaotic, shooting scenes are transformed through a combination of lighting, composition, and machine color grading, resulting in each frame displaying immense tension on the monitor.
The camera moves away from Yin Su's calm eyes, then gradually zooms out from the extension of his hand movements, giving a distant view of him in a half-step stance, with pale blue light highlighting Cui Ye's outline. The camera begins to blur, and as his legs sink to their lowest point, the camera adjusts its focus, giving Wei Yang's resolute face a close-up.
Bo Bing stared at Yin Su's eyes on the monitor; those eyes seemed to contain not only calmness but also visible complexity.
He doesn't seem like the usual gentle guy who would stick close to you and say inexplicable things.
The more familiar I am with him, the more unfamiliar he feels.
The makeup artist only slightly modified Yin Su's face, and coupled with Yin Su's excellent acting talent, Bo Bing actually saw a Cui Ye who was completely different from the character of "Yin Su" in just one shot.
He took a deep breath to suppress his inner turmoil.
Is he a 30-year-old Best Actor?
With Yin Su, a formidable obstacle, looming over either himself or Bo Bing, the difficulty of winning the Best Actor award cannot be solely attributed to the system's skills.
Even if it wasn't Yin Su, it would have been someone else.
Other guys who treat acting as a lifelong career.
How to do it?
Bo Bing thought with a smile.
—Hasn't this completely ignited their competitive spirit?
