Reborn in the Entertainment Industry: Second Life
Chapter 13 Self-introduction
The young man had a muscular body, wrapped in a bath towel, with his half-length black hair hanging wetly over his shoulders, still steaming, with water droplets clinging to his body, exuding masculine hormones.
He was propped up on one leg on the bed, reaching for the lip balm on the bedside table.
And so the two groups met.
The camera is still on.
"elder brother?"
Zhao Yang was still in the same position as when he opened the door, bent over, and hadn't even realized what was happening when a small object flew past his ear and hit the light switch behind him, plunging the room into darkness.
Although the photographer knew he was in the wrong, he didn't want to miss such a sensational scene as a highlight of the show. So, he gritted his teeth and, despite the low atmosphere among the young people inside, adjusted the camera position and turned on the fill light to capture the expressions on the faces of the bewildered people outside the door.
The minty scent of shower gel mingled with the steam as the young man approached, and he turned on the light.
Zhao Yang felt a little embarrassed. He had forgotten that the other person was still taking a shower and had completely made himself at home, forgetting to knock before entering.
Fortunately, the other party did some cover-up, otherwise it's hard to say what the camera would have captured.
"Sorry, I was a little stressed just now," Bo Bing smiled and made way for them. "I'm sorry to have startled you. It's my fault."
"It's okay, I'm the one who should apologize," Zhao Yang stammered. "Brother, I'm sorry, I forgot to knock."
As the group went inside, Bo Bing picked up the small object on the ground that had been turned off. Only then did the photographer realize that it was the lip balm that had been placed on the young man's bedside table.
That's terrifying! What explosive power and accuracy! To be able to turn off the switch instantly from several meters away?
Several people have different thoughts.
Even in that brief moment, everyone could see the various wounds on his body, the most serious being a knife wound on his back. Although it may have been there for a long time, the scar tissue was firmly welded to his strong back, like a centipede clinging tightly to his body.
The photographer wisely crouched down in a corner, his intuition telling him that there would be a climax there.
The four of them put the two tables together, took a chair and left it aside. Bo Bing had already cleaned the dormitory before taking a shower, so the tables weren't dirty.
Here, your food.
Wen Yuan smoothed his hair and handed him the noodles from the plastic bag in his hand.
He ordered a bowl of rice for himself, as he is a typical southerner and doesn't like noodles.
Zhao Yang took out the same food as Bo Bing. As a Northeasterner from H City, he and Bo Bing, a Northwesterner from L City, could eat together. They added chili and vinegar and started eating heartily.
They also packed a serving of braised beef and a plate of chicken, along with some fruit and vegetable juice that Jiang Wenqing had brought.
To maintain her figure, Jiang Wenqing dared not eat high-carbohydrate foods and could only watch the three of them devour their food while swallowing her saliva.
The group each shared a glass of fruit and vegetable juice and began to chat.
"Um...don't you eat meat?"
Zhao Yang turned to look at Jiang Wenqing.
He frowned slightly as he looked at the vegetable salad in the other person's lunchbox.
That's too little. Given his appetite, it's hard to imagine anyone eating only this much. He's seen older female relatives dieting before, but for a young man in his prime to eat so little is really too exaggerated.
The meal consisted of green vegetables seasoned only with salt and pepper, two pieces of corn, a piece of purple sweet potato, and a little bit of mashed potatoes.
Jiang Wenqing frowned, then politely declined, "No, my first stage performance is next week, and I'm afraid I'll look swollen on camera."
Zhao Yang nodded somewhat bewildered, then looked at Bo Bing, who was sitting to the side and had already devoured her noodles.
To be honest, at least in Zhao Yang's home, this kind of noodle was really just average in taste, not to mention it was already a bit soggy. Even so, he still restrained himself from making a fuss and tried his best to eat it elegantly in front of the camera.
Although their eating manners weren't as refined as Jiang Wenqing's and Wen Yuan's, they still managed to control their expressions.
Bo Bing nonchalantly added chili oil to the bowl and left the uneaten scallions, ginger, and garlic in the bag. He ate noodles with one hand while holding the bone in the other, his eating manners barely neat and his eating speed extremely fast. In less than five minutes, he finished a large bowl of noodles that had been soaked until it was swollen, and even drank almost all the soup.
Wen Yuan and Zhao Yang simply couldn't keep up with his eating speed.
The three of them couldn't help but look at Bo Bing.
The young man had slightly long hair, deep eyes, and a muscular build. He wore a black short-sleeved shirt, and pink scars were faintly visible on the skin exposed outside the shirt.
Bo Bing was slightly taken aback by the gaze, and her hand, which was tidying up the trash, paused for a moment, as if she realized that this might not be a good thing.
"Sorry, I'm used to eating quickly. You guys continue eating."
He picked up this habit when he was a driver, and he can't change it. If he eats quickly at the service area, he can sleep a little longer. If he eats slowly, he can't keep up with the big trucks in front of him, and if he falls behind, it will be bad.
Seeing that the atmosphere in the dormitory was a bit stiff, the photographer waved the sign in his hand, signaling them to chat.
After they had eaten most of the food, they started chatting.
“I haven’t introduced myself yet, let’s get to know each other now,” Zhao Yang pushed up his glasses and used his hat to tuck his red-streaked bangs behind his ear. “My name is Zhao Yang. I’m currently studying automation at a university in the United States. My family is from H City in Northeast China, and I also have relatives doing business in Z City on the coast. I’m going to be performing songs with my own lyrics and music this time, and there will probably be more rap and folk songs.”
"I saw you carrying a guitar in the lobby at noon," Wen Yuan smiled, pointing to the guitar in his corner. "Shall we take turns playing it sometime?"
Zhao Yang was naturally delighted and readily agreed.
"Brother, what do you do?" Zhao Yang looked at Wen Yuan with some curiosity. "You play punk?"
"I'm from Shanghai, I studied finance, and I have a band with some friends. We play together whenever we have time," Wen Yuan said. He was dressed fashionably and was handsome, unlike Zhao Yang's youthful, boyish charm. He was the mature type that girls would be attracted to, handsome and charming. "I sing a variety of songs. I came here just to have some fun. A friend said there was an opportunity, so I came."
Having worked in the clothing industry for a long time, Bo Bing has long since learned to judge people.
He quickly figured out that Wen Yuan was probably just another rich kid who came here to play around. He idly stirred the ice in his glass.
Two young men who play music.
I also need to follow the system's rules and complete the initial stage with a perfect score.
This was indeed a very troublesome matter for him. To satisfy every judge was no easy task, especially since he had also heard that Tianci Entertainment would be sending several high-profile guest stars.
With 5+3, meaning 5 regular guests plus 3 guest stars, it seems the initial stage is relying on this momentum to boost ratings.
“Xiaoqing and I work for the same company, Longyu Entertainment. He’s from Yunnan and has been learning ethnic dance since he was a child,” Wen Yuan introduced Jiang Wenqing to everyone. “He’s not very good at talking, so please bear with him.”
Jiang Wenqing nodded slightly in acknowledgment.
Then the three of them turned their attention to Bo Bing, who was cleaning up the trash.
