“You call me heartless and insane.” Cecil pointed to everything behind him, a smirk playing on his lips. “But what I did was nothing more than what you humans do. Instead of blaming me, you should reflect on your own cruelty.”

Morse was stunned for a moment. Cecil admired the various creatures in his laboratory that were constantly providing the base with superpowers, pointing at the zombies, sea monsters, and alien beasts.

“You once boasted that you were at the top of the food chain, so you could kill other creatures to survive. What’s the difference between what I did and what you did? I just stood above you people.”

"Whether it's keeping pets or constantly exploiting superpowers, aren't these all things you've done in the past? How come it's wrong when it comes to me? In your words, it's the law of the jungle, even that's how it is."

As Cecil spoke, his eyes swept over everyone present with a condescending disdain.

His blunt truth directly exposed the veil of morality that had been covering up the truth.

It exposed the true nature of human greed, selfishness, and hypocrisy.
