On a Turkish sofa sat two tall, slender men, both dressed in suits. One was impeccably dressed, while the other was casually dressed, his tie nowhere to be seen, his shirt collar wide open, revealing his collarbones, and he casually twirled a bottle opener in his hand.

Yan Yu opened a bottle of red wine, poured half a glass into a stemmed glass, and handed it to Yan Mo, who was sitting next to him with his eyes closed, saying, "Here you go, big brother."

The man opened his eyes, took the wine from Yan Yu's hand, took a small sip, and asked, "Where's A-Su?"

"We're watching a meteor shower."

"Where can I see it?"

Yan Yu poured himself a glass of wine as well. "I don't know, maybe up in the mountains."

"You didn't ask?"

Yan Yu replied casually, "Why ask that? He's all grown up now, how could he possibly get lost?"

Yan Mo's eyes darkened, and his tone carried a hint of reproach, "Didn't I tell you to care more about him?"

Yan Yu protested, "Brother, haven't I cared for him enough? I gave him extra money this month, enough for him to have fun."

Yan Mo rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. "Is this how you express concern?"

Yan Yu said confidently, "Don't people always say that giving a large sum of money is worse than offering words of comfort?"

Yan Mo was about to retort when the smart door lock at the gate suddenly announced, "Welcome home."

The two looked over at the sound and saw Yan Su walk in from outside the door.

When Yan Yu saw him return, he got up to get another wine glass, chattering as he walked: "Hey, bro, you finished watching the meteor shower so quickly?"

"I didn't look at it," Yan Su replied casually, walking over to the matching armchair of the Turkish sofa and sitting down.

Yan Mo gave him a deep look. "Why didn't you finish watching before coming back?"

Yan Su thought of that family and replied, "I've lost interest."

Yan Yu had just come out of the kitchen with the cups when he heard this. He laughed and said, "It's good that you're not interested. What's so interesting about this meteor shower? It's more fun to chat with the guys."

Yan Su gave him a cold look. "Why didn't you go see Gu Wei today?"

Yan Yu's handsome face showed a puzzled expression, "Why are you looking for her?"

"Isn't she your precious darling?"

"My darling?" Yan Yu smiled upon hearing this. "On the surface, that's all."

"On the surface," Yan Su repeated, "So, in reality, you and she have no relationship?"

“What could possibly be the relationship?” Yan Yu replied while pouring Yan Su a glass of wine. “It’s just a mutually beneficial arrangement. She needs the title of being the girlfriend of the second young master of the Yan family to raise her status, and I need a woman to help me win over clients. It’s that simple.”

"nausea."

Yan Yu wasn't annoyed by his words; instead, she laughed heartily. "Disgusting? It is disgusting, but some people just like to live such a disgusting life."

Seeing that Yan Su didn't answer, Yan Yu continued, "Brother, do you find them disgusting, or do you find me disgusting?"

Yan Su was very blunt, saying, "They're disgusting, and you're disgusting too."

"Oh? Then tell me, what's so disgusting about me? I was just taking advantage of their 'stealing' nature, and they willingly fell into my trap. I closed my deal, they satisfied their 'sincerity,' it's a win-win situation, so why are you unhappy about that?"

Yan Su thought of Gu Wei and said with disgust, "Because of you, that woman had the opportunity to disgust me. Not only did she disgust me, but she also slapped me."

Yan Yu laughed even harder after hearing this, "Hahaha, you got hit by her? I didn't expect her to be so fierce."

Yan Mo frowned when he heard that Yan Su had been beaten, and said with displeasure, "Ayu, since you and that woman are mutually benefiting, don't let her ride on your head. She should be taught a lesson and let her know what will happen if she dares to lay a hand on someone from the Yan family."

Yan Yu sank halfway into the sofa, his left elbow resting on his knee, his palm propping up his face, a nonchalant smile on his face. He lightly nudged Yan Su with his foot and said, "A Su, how do you want me to teach her a lesson? Should I dump her and find someone more obedient, or destroy everything she currently has? Which solution makes you feel better?"

Yan Su took a step back to avoid his foot and sneered, "I'm not going to argue with a woman with an empty head. My only request is that she stop bothering me and stop asking me to get involved in anything related to her. In short, I don't want to see her again."

“Oh,” Yan Yu’s smiling eyes flashed with a sharp light, “You’re quite chivalrous.”

Yan Su's face turned extremely pale, as if he had eaten something unpalatable. "Don't use such disgusting words to describe me."

Seeing that his reaction didn't seem fake, Yan Yu gradually relaxed. "So, you're not pleading for that woman?"

Yan Su rolled her eyes at him and said coldly, "I'm not such a kind person. It's just that arguing with someone like her would lower my status."

"That's good," Yan Yu got up and walked to the single sofa where Yan Su was sitting. He sat down on the armrest, placed his hand on Yan Su's shoulder, and said with a warning, "You should know how dangerous it is to place your feelings on outsiders."

Yan Su slapped his hand away, downed half a glass of wine, and sneered, "They don't deserve it."

Seeing Yan Yu's unserious behavior, Yan Mo gently scolded, "Alright, sit up straight and let's get down to business."

Yan Yu sat back down, his expression becoming serious. "I've checked. The old man still has 30% of the shares, my elder brother has 20%, and A-Su and I each have 10%. The shares I've been trying to acquire these days only amount to 5%."

Yan Mo said with a serious expression, "We need at least 60% of the shares to completely control the company. Although the old man has handed the company over to me on the surface, his people are actually trying to trip me up at the shareholders' meeting from time to time. We must find a way to acquire more shares as soon as possible."

Yan Yu was extremely frustrated when talking about this matter. "I've been working on this matter, but those old foxes seem to have realized that we're trying to seize power. I've had so many meals with them lately, and every time the topic of shares comes up, they pretend to be stupid and push it back at me."

Yan Su's eyes turned cold. "These people are just trying to force us to pay a higher price."

Yan Yu's face darkened. "Even if we offer a high price, these profit-driven guys might not be willing to sell their shares to us. They might even take our offer and go back to the old man to raise the price. After all, the old man does have more liquid funds than us."

“This is indeed a tricky situation,” Yan Mo pondered for a moment, then asked, “Aside from those old foxes who are very close to the old man, who holds the majority of the shares?”

Yan Yu replied, "The Liang family and the Qin family each own 10%, and the Su family and the Song family each own 5%."
