Berserk: The Prophet

Chapter 175 The weak awakens

Berserker Continent - Grant

Green woke up feeling dizzy. His body was weak after more than a month of torment, and the large amount of mental energy he had spent in the Illusionary Continent had left him feeling disoriented.

For some reason, the system seems to have stopped giving notifications for a long time.

I glanced at the board and realized that my mental energy was down to only 41 points. I felt dizzy and nauseous, like a severe side effect of staying up all night for three nights in a row. The nausea from my stomach came in waves like a raging sea.

"...vomit."

Green could no longer hold back and collapsed to the ground, vomiting. Stomach acid surged upwards, and blood still mingled with his saliva, the blood originating from his stomach and upper digestive tract.

The little food I managed to eat last night, which I thought would replenish some energy, now seems to have had little effect.

The door creaked open, and Eileen, looking disgusted, brought food to Green, clearly repulsed by the smell of his vomit.

"Eat quickly, the owner of this house wants to see you later."

"...Honestly, I still have to clean all this up later." Ellen complained as she handed the food to Green, then ran out as fast as she could, as if avoiding a plague.

Green wiped his mouth awkwardly; the discomfort in his stomach made him have no interest in food.

But he knew very well that if he didn't eat, he would definitely die, and once he died, there would be no chance for him to recover!

He wants revenge! He wants to see Guts again!!

Driven by his body's will to survive once again, Green trembled as he picked up a glass of hot milk and slowly drank it down.

The warm milk flowed down his throat, easing his churning stomach a little. He forced himself to suppress the urge to vomit, preventing himself from expelling the nutrients he had just absorbed.

He must live! He absolutely has to live!!

Green gritted his teeth and began to wolf down the oat bread and dried meat.

As he ate, he seemed to regain some strength. He stood up, dragged his still weak body out of the room, and slowly walked up the stairs toward Hohenheim's room.

With each step he took, he could feel his heart pounding. He didn't know what awaited him, so he could only improvise.

"You're not in great shape, but we're on a tight schedule." Hohenheim's voice carried a sense of urgency as he looked at Green's weak and battered body with some dissatisfaction.

“Yes, I think I’m ready.” Green looked up and calmly looked at Hohenheim.

"Hmph, what a laughable sight!" Hohenheim couldn't help but sneer. However, after being tortured for a month, any normal child would have developed mental problems long ago.

"Alright, you should rest well today. Some things really can't be rushed." Hohenheim suddenly lost interest in what he was supposed to do today, closed the book in his hand, and put it back on the bookshelf.

“You will learn about the culture and characteristics of the Grants from me. I will train you to be a true Grant, so that our plan can proceed smoothly.”

Upon hearing this, Green secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He nodded silently and then prepared to turn and leave the room.

"Wait, can you read?" Hohenheim realized he was crazy as soon as he said it. How could a child this age know how to read?

"...can recognize some simple words."

Upon hearing Green's reply, Hohenheim realized that he had underestimated him.

“Then you can take this book and read it. If there are any words you don’t recognize, ask Ellen to teach you.” Hohenheim took a thinner book from the bookshelf, which seemed to be a brief introduction to Grant.

"Hmm." Green took the book and went back to the basement to read it.

Just then, I ran into Eileen, who was covering her mouth and nose with a face towel and tidying up her room. She was covering the dirt with dirt and sweeping it into a dustpan with a broom. When she looked up, she saw the culprit behind it all.

"Why did you come down so quickly?" Eileen was clearly a little surprised.

"...Thank you for your hard work." Green's expression was slightly blank, but he still thanked the girl and prepared to go back to his room.

"Ugh, it stinks! Let me get you a different room." As soon as Eileen saw Green about to go in, she grabbed his wrist and led him to another room.

“This room has been unoccupied for a while, and it’s quite clean. You can stay here for now.” Green walked into the room and found that it was simply furnished, just like the previous room, but very tidy.

"Thank you." He thanked Eileen again, and Eileen nodded and prepared to leave.

“Wait a minute.” Green suddenly called out to her, “Can you tell me about Grant’s culture and characteristics?” Eileen hesitated for a moment, then sat down and began to tell Green about Grant’s history and culture.

Green listened attentively, occasionally asking questions, which Ellen patiently answered, and the atmosphere between the two gradually became more harmonious.

"...Oh dear, we've talked for so long, I have to go now, I need to go upstairs and tidy up the house. That's about all that's in this book, feel free to ask me if you have any questions."

"Ok."

Eileen got up and went upstairs to tidy up the room, leaving Green alone in the new room. The story that happened to Grant seemed to be quite similar to what little Hanks had told.

One of them is about "Moon Knight" Laugus. This story is an unverifiable legend, but it seems to be a story that is widely circulated everywhere.

He made great achievements on countless battlefields, and never suffered a defeat even in noble competitions and duels. He never followed any master.

Children born into knightly or samurai families all grew up listening to his stories before bed.

...Laugus, Green hasn't read the comics, but Jiang Yue mentioned it casually before. He even dragged Green to watch the anime with him, though he only watched the old version.

I was working in the cafeteria while watching it. When I got busy, I could only listen to Jiang Yue explain it to me. I only watched it intermittently. In the second half, all I knew was that Griffith sacrificed the Band of the Hawk and then...

Just as Griffith finished his sacrifice, Grimm was so busy that he immediately turned off the screen while watching Eclipse, and almost got mistaken for a perverted guy watching hentai in the cafeteria.

But Guts' expression and the sight of his severed arm... are truly unforgettable.

Anyway, I showed Grimm the Red Warmth comic, but I didn't read the manga. I just listened to Jiang Yue tell me what happened next. Something about the Fire Dragon Knight, the Moon Knight, the Eagle Witch, and how she said she was free and founded the New Eagle Order to annoy Ga Zi.

In short, the more Grimm heard it, the more red-hot he became, so when he passed by a stall outside the comic convention, he bought a Tyrant's Egg to play with, and really wanted to sacrifice Griffith.
