“That’s the official name the school uses,” Zheng Dayu said in a low voice, “but the students actually call this place ‘Qianji Garden’!”

"'Qianji Garden'?"

Lin Ruofei and Ding Yilin exclaimed in unison.

"Shh... Keep your voice down!" Zheng Dayu hissed, "Are you afraid no one can hear you?"

"Why is it called 'Qianji Garden'?" Lin Ruofei asked in a low voice.

"And the artificial hill here..." Zheng Dayu pointed to the artificial hill in front of him and said softly, "It was originally called 'Juxian Mountain,' but now the students call it 'Qianji Mountain.' And this artificial lake..."

"It's been renamed from 'Juxian Lake' to 'Qianji Lake', right?" Lin Ruofei interjected.

Zheng Dayu nodded and said, "It's said that 9,999 couples have already signed their names on this artificial hill to show their love for each other; and this artificial lake... well, 9,999 couples have thrown in wishing coins, hoping their love will last forever..."

"Nonsense!" Lin Ruofei shook her head with a smile and said, "Where would you get such accurate data? Who can guarantee that there aren't ten thousand signatures on this mountain? And who has personally gone into the water to count the number of coins?"

"No one has ever counted the coins in the lake, I admit that's just a legend," Zheng Dayu added immediately. "But the signatures on the artificial hill have indeed been counted by some busybodies. In the nearly twenty years since Yucai School was founded, there really have been 9,999 pairs of 'bros' who have signed their names on it!"

Lin Ruofei joked, "If I go up the mountain now and sign your name Zheng Dayu and my name Lin Ruofei, wouldn't 'Qianji Mountain' have to be renamed 'Wanji Mountain'?"

If we both sign our names, then this ‘Thousand Base Mountain’ will really have to be renamed ‘Ten Thousand Base Mountain’!” Zheng Dayu said seriously. “However, the prerequisite for the name change is that when the school’s dean of students asks us if we signed our names on the mountain, we both have to answer ‘yes’ at the same time, otherwise the signatures will be invalid!”

"Even if we admit to signing it," Lin Ruofei said dismissively, "would the classmates really change 'Qianjishan' to 'Wanjishan' in private?"

“Of course! It’s an unwritten rule at Yucai School!” Zheng Dayu said with certainty, “When ‘Qianjishan’ was renamed ‘Wanjishan’, we were both expelled from the school!”

"You mean to say that, so far, the school has expelled 9,999 pairs of students because of the signatures on 'Qianji Mountain'?" Lin Ruofei immediately shook her head like a rattle-drum: "That's absolutely impossible! If I had a grudge against you and Ding Yilin, I would just carve your names on the mountain, and the school would take revenge for me and expel you both!"

"Didn't I just state the premise..." Zheng Dayu waved his hand and said, "The school's dean of students will come and ask me and this kid if we signed anything on the mountain. As long as we both say we didn't sign anything, the school will pretend this never happened!"

"Impossible!" Lin Ruofei still didn't believe it, shaking her head and saying, "How could the school easily let go of such an ambiguous matter?"

“At Yucai School, nothing is impossible!” Ding Yilin, who had been standing silently to the side, suddenly spoke up softly: “If the school wants to let something go unchecked, even the most unbelievable thing can be accomplished smoothly!”

Watching wave after wave of male students in pairs pass by, Lin Ruofei simply couldn't understand how the school could turn a blind eye to this.

"What a fool!" Zheng Dayu said with a look of utter disdain, "What could possibly be the content of negotiations at the foot of 'Qianji Mountain'?! It's obviously about which two people came up the mountain together!!"

Lin Ruofei disagreed with Zheng Dayu's statement and retorted, "According to you, all the students here are 'gay'?!"

“Those who aren’t ‘gay’ will try to avoid coming here!” Zheng Dayu said seriously, “They’re all afraid of being misunderstood!”

"Then let's leave here quickly!" Ding Yilin whispered a reminder, "It wouldn't be good if people misunderstood us!"

Looking at the magnificent 'Juxian Garden' before him, Zheng Dayu couldn't help but sigh, saying, "Actually, when the school initially spent a lot of money to build this 'Juxian Garden,' the original intention was for the top scorers in the college entrance examination from previous years to leave their names on the bluestone on the mountain to inspire future generations to study hard. "Hehe..." Ding Yilin chuckled as he caught up with the two, asking softly, "It's just a small park, do you two have to take it so seriously?"

"I will take full responsibility for everything I've said!" Zheng Dayu said seriously. "Therefore, I cannot tolerate anyone not believing what I say!"

"'Mount Chiki'... Hmph!" Lin Ruofei said with a sneer, "In my opinion, it's just a story that bored people came up with when they were bored, right?"

Seeing that Lin Ruofei was so determined to doubt what he said, Zheng Dayu ignored her and walked away angrily.

Lin Ruofei ignored Zheng Dayu's mood and walked slowly back to the dormitory with Ding Yilin.

After the two broke up in the elevator, Lin Ruofei returned to dormitory 609 alone.

Lin Ruofei's first night at Yucai Boys' High School was not as sad as she had imagined.

After returning to her dormitory, Lin Ruofei quickly washed up, changed into her big cow-print pajamas, and then lay down on her spacious bed.

Although it was still early, and her phone showed it wasn't even 8 PM yet, Lin Ruofei fell asleep almost immediately after lying down...
