Reggie's mouth dropped open in surprise. He hadn't expected Jia Fei to adjust his mindset so quickly. It seemed he had underestimated this yellow-skinned Asian; the man was far stronger than he had imagined.

"By the way, Jia, I remember your birthday is in March. How did you spend it? I don't feel like you had a birthday at all," Reggie changed the subject.

Jia Fei smiled and said, "No, I didn't have a party or buy a cake. I didn't even think about it. My parents are gone, and I doubt anyone will remember my birthday. Maybe when I become a star player, some fans will remind me, or maybe when I get married, my wife and kids will remind me. None of that matters. Right now, I just want to become stronger, that's all!"

Under the dim streetlights, Reggie still saw Jia Fei's clear, unwavering eyes, a gaze that truly commanded respect.

Seeing Jia Fei like this, Reggie also decided that he had to become stronger. He couldn't fall behind; he had to fight for more playing time instead of complaining.

In the car, Reggie was a little confused: "Why did you pull me just now? Did that guy want to fight? I don't believe he can beat me, and you're here too!"

Jia Fei smiled and looked at the naive guy: "Of course I imagine that the two of us together could beat him up, but have you ever thought about what if he has a gun?"

On March 19, the Houston Rockets officially reached a buyout agreement with him, severing ties with the Rockets before he even reported for duty.

Born in 1974, Derek Fisher is now 38 years old, essentially in the final stages of his career as a guard. He has transformed from a young star into a seasoned veteran. As a five-time champion guard and the backcourt partner of the Los Angeles Lakers' star player, his experience, clutch gene, shooting ability, and locker room influence are extremely attractive to NBA teams aiming for the championship.
