Of course, this does not mean that the book is coming to an end.

In fact, readers who have made it this far can probably see some clues. The author is not good at writing system historical novels; official historical novels are the author's forte.

It's truly remarkable that the historical text of the system has reached this word count.

Of course, this is all thanks to the love and support of everyone, which is why this book can still be serialized today.

This volume contains a total of ninety-nine chapters.

The number nine represents the extreme of the numbers, which also corresponds perfectly to the enfeoffment of a king at the beginning.

The young author had already envisioned the chapters of this volume from the very beginning.

The opening chapter, "The Morning Court," corresponds to the final chapter, "The Jian'an Era."

Although this volume only has ninety-nine chapters, each chapter contains three thousand words.

Here, I'd like to explain again that some readers have said I was lazy in the last two chapters. But if you count the word count, each chapter is 3,000 words, or even more than 3,000. It's only around 2,500 words in some parts of the plot that it's needed. And when it's around 2,500 words, it's always the third update, because I have to complete a 6,000-word daily task.

Compared to the vast majority of Tomato's works, which are two thousand words or even less, this is already equivalent to three chapters. If a junior author writes three chapters, it would be equivalent to four chapters for a normal book.

Although it appears to have ninety-nine chapters, this volume actually contains 300,000 words.

Of course, the young author also wrote a very heavy piece about the contents of this volume.

The departure of Mengde caused emotional fluctuations among many readers.

But the young author also said that he didn't want to write anything that was all the same.

From the very beginning, the protagonist and Mengde met in Luoyang, ate, drank and had fun together, went to Liangzhou to quell the Qiang people, and fought against the Yellow Turbans, forging a close friendship. No one ever imagined that the two would one day stand on opposite sides.

Of course, the author also doesn't think it would be good to make Meng De a two-dimensional character or even a tool under the protagonist's halo.

Life is always full of regrets and sorrows.

If everything could go smoothly and happily, it would be too perfect.

Of course, the main point of writing a book is to please readers, and I have tried my best to make changes within the range that you, the authors, can accept.

If we follow the author's wishes, this book is not a traditional "feel-good" novel. The author believes that the core of a good book is to evoke emotional responses in readers and to portray each character as a living, breathing person with their own independent thinking, rather than simply creating tools.

People change over time, with development, and with status; they are not static tools.

Every person carries their own destiny, and is not an appendage of the protagonist; only then can they be called a person.

The protagonist naturally possesses a halo, but even the brightest light cannot penetrate people's hearts.

This may be the reason for the book's success.

The young author uses the technique of starting from humble beginnings to imbue each person the protagonist meets with a soul and a mission.

Stone, Qing'an, White Butcher, Tiger Slave...

Qing'er, Hongchan...

Perhaps after this book is finished, the young author will write a separate biography for each of them, provided that there is time.
