Su Muya nodded and said, "Hmm, it tastes pretty good."

After saying that, Su Muya picked up her chopsticks and took a bite of the pastry. For some reason, she felt something was off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what was strange.

"Miss, please eat slowly!" The maidservant said hurriedly as she watched Su Muya devour her food.

Su Muya then realized she had been somewhat rude and quickly put down the food in her hand, saying, "I'm full."

Upon hearing this, the maid immediately took the plate away and stood aside.

Su Muya stood up and said, "You wait here, I'll go in by myself."

The maid nodded, then watched Su Muya board the carriage. Only after the carriage slowly started moving did she leave with peace of mind.

The inner courtyard of the Liu residence.

Su Muyao was getting ready.

She is going to visit someone today, and that person is the only distinguished guest in the Su family.

"Grandma, why are you only just returning? I've been waiting for you all morning!" Madam Liu said, wiping her nails.

"Mother, don't worry, I'm back now, aren't I?"

Su Muyao said calmly, "Don't worry, I'll take care of things once I meet that person."

"Oh dear, you've really gone to a lot of trouble! Don't worry, if you don't want to marry Young Master Chen, I'll arrange something better for you!" Madam Liu said with a solicitous expression.

Su Muyao shook her head and said, "There's no need to trouble Mother."

"No trouble at all, no trouble at all," Madam Liu said with a smile. "Yao'er, you are our family's most beloved young lady; your future is destined to be smooth sailing!"

Su Muyao smiled and said, "I understand. If Mother has nothing else, I'll go take care of my business now!"

Seeing that Su Muyao was about to leave, Madam Liu quickly said, "Don't rush off to do anything else, have breakfast with me first!"

Su Muyao nodded and sat down to the side, looking at the sumptuous breakfast on the table, but she had no appetite.

She glanced at the group of maids behind her and said to Madam Liu, "Mother, I have something to tell you. I hope you can send someone to keep a close eye on those people in the Liu household!"

Upon hearing Su Muyao's words, Madam Liu couldn't help but ask, "Why is that?"

“Since those people want to ruin my reputation, they must already know who I am,” Su Muyao said. “And they definitely know about the Liu and Zhou families’ affairs. If they do, they will definitely try to stop this marriage.”

Madam Liu nodded and said, "Of course I understand!"

“In that case, I hope you can arrange some secret guards to monitor the Zhou family. If they make any moves, be sure to inform me,” Su Muya said. “You know my personality; I’m not someone to be trifled with!”

Upon hearing Su Muyao's words, Madam Liu quickly patted her chest and said, "Yes, yes! Leave this matter to your mother!"

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Mother!" Su Muyao curtsied slightly and said with a smile.

Madam Liu waved her hand and said, "You and I are mother and daughter, no need for formalities. I'll go and invite the old lady now, and have her make the arrangements."

"Thank you, Mother."

"You're welcome," Madam Liu said, then stood up and left the room.

Su Muyao watched Madam Liu's departing figure, a cold smile curling her lips.

The carriage from the Liu residence drove out of the residence and headed towards the palace.

Su Muyao closed her eyes to rest in the carriage. Although she had eaten a lot last night, she still couldn't fall asleep.

"Where is your young lady?" a voice asked.

Su Muya lifted the curtain and looked over, and saw a handsome young man dressed in gorgeous clothes.

The man glanced at Su Muya, a hint of amazement flashing in his eyes, then waved to the servants behind him, signaling them to help Su Muya down from the carriage.

"You must be Miss Su?" the man said with a smile.

Su Muya glanced at the man and said, "It is indeed me. May I ask how you are addressed, sir?"

"Hehe, my surname is Chen," the man said. "Miss Su, would you do me the honor of having breakfast with me?"

"No need!" Su Muya refused. She didn't want to share a carriage with such a dissolute playboy; she'd rather have breakfast at home.

Young Master Chen glanced at Su Muyao and said, "Miss Su, are you afraid I'll eat you up?"

Su Muya snorted coldly and said, "I'm not exactly audacious!"

Young Master Chen smiled and said, "In that case, I'll take my leave."

Only after seeing that Young Master Chen had left did Su Muyao lift the curtain of the carriage and watch it drive away.

Just as she was about to close the carriage curtain, the carriage suddenly lurched violently, and the driver shouted, "Watch out!"

Su Muya's head hit the side of the carriage due to the jolting, and she grimaced in pain.

"Miss, are you alright?" Xiaoyu asked Su Muya with concern.

Su Muya covered her forehead and rubbed the bridge of her nose, gritting her teeth as she said, "It's nothing, go find the driver and get some ointment to put on me, it hurts so much!"

Xiaoyu quickly responded, jumped off the carriage, ran to the coachman, and said, "Uncle, please get some ointment for my young lady!"

As he rode on horseback, Young Master Chen noticed the carriage curtain was slightly ajar and raised an eyebrow, asking, "Whose people are you?"

Xiaoyu glanced at Young Master Chen and said, "Young Master, our young lady is the second young lady of the Chen family, and her arm is injured."

Upon hearing this, Young Master Chen frowned and asked, "Oh? Where are you injured?"

Seeing his question, Xiaoyu quickly took out paper and pen from her bosom, wrote down a prescription, and handed it to Young Master Chen, saying, "Young Master, please get the medicine according to the prescription above, and then give it to my young lady after you've decocted it."

“Okay.” Young Master Chen took the prescription, glanced at the name on it, and said with a smile, “Your young lady is quite interesting, choosing such a name!”

Xiaoyu smiled and said, "Because this is a name my young lady specially chose, I hope you remember it, young master."

“I’ve got it! You can go back now,” Young Master Chen said, then glanced in Su Muya’s direction and said with a smile, “This second young lady of the Su family is quite interesting.”

After saying that, he whipped his horse and left the Liu residence.

The Liu family members were discussing the upcoming marriage in the Chen family's main hall. They included the managers and stewards of their respective families, as well as several young masters and ladies.

The old lady of the Liu family looked at everyone and said, "Do you all think this matter can be accomplished?"

Madam Chen looked at everyone and then said, "This marriage is beneficial to both our families. Moreover, I heard that the Emperor has bestowed this marriage upon our two families."

The old lady of the Liu family nodded and said, "Yes! Even if the Emperor's decree is fake, the Emperor has already issued it personally, so we cannot disobey it."
