The next morning, Xiao Cui rushed into the hall: "Holy Maiden, the High Priest has arrived."

Ning Feng's lips curled into a cold smile: "You've come quickly. Let her in."

The high priest, dressed in plain robes, asked solemnly, "What does the Holy Maiden mean?"

"High Priest, what are you saying?" Ning Feng rose to greet her. "This Holy Maiden merely saw that my little master was innocent and carefree, and wished to send her to the palace for quiet cultivation."

"Seclusion?" the high priest sneered. "Where in the palace is there a place for seclusion?"

"High Priest's words have hurt this saint's feelings," Ning Feng said, pouring tea for the High Priest. "If you are worried, you are welcome to move into the palace to keep me company."

The high priest refused the tea: "What exactly does the Holy Maiden want?"

"I have already made myself very clear," Ning Feng said, her smile fading. "The fortunes of Nanzhao have run their course; a new ruler is needed."

"you......"

“If the High Priest finds this difficult,” Ning Feng said meaningfully, “then I, the Holy Maiden, will make the decision regarding the little master’s entry into the palace for secluded cultivation.”

The high priest's expression changed drastically: "How dare you!"

"Is the High Priest threatening me, Holy Maiden?" Ning Feng said coldly.

“The High Priest is being far too protective,” Ning Feng said, standing up. “My young master is not young anymore; he should broaden his horizons.”

“She’s just a child, why make things difficult for the saint?” The high priest’s tone softened.

"Difficult?" Ning Feng chuckled. "This holy maiden is doing her a favor. Surely the High Priest wouldn't want to see his granddaughter confined to a temple for the rest of her life?"

The high priest remained silent for a long time: "What do you want me to do?"

"As I've said, it's time for a change in the political landscape of Nanzhao..."

“If I agree,” the high priest interrupted her, “can you guarantee you won’t harm her in the slightest?”

"That depends on the High Priest's performance," Ning Feng said meaningfully. "If he can satisfy this Holy Maiden, then my little master will naturally be safe."

The high priest clenched his fist: "Give me a day to consider."

"Alright, I'll give you one day." Ning Feng turned around. "Remember, this is your only chance."

Watching the High Priest's departing figure, Xiao Cui asked softly, "Holy Maiden, will she agree?"

"Yes," Ning Feng sneered. "She has no choice but to agree for the sake of her precious granddaughter."

"Holy Maiden, we've discovered that the High Priest has set up a secret chamber in a secluded spot," Xiao Cui whispered.

"Looks like they're planning to hide someone," Ning Feng sneered. "We'll guard this place and wait for her to walk right into our trap."

In the stillness of the night, a figure silently entered the secret chamber. The High Priest looked around warily, then gently pushed open the door: "Xiao Qin, come with Azu..."

"Where is the High Priest taking his granddaughter?" Ning Feng's voice suddenly rang out from behind.

The high priest froze: "Holy Maiden..."

“I thought the High Priest was an upright person,” Ning Feng said, pressing closer, “but I never expected him to resort to these tricks.”

"You framed me!"

"No, you delivered yourself to my doorstep." Ning Feng's eyes were icy. "The High Priest is having a secret rendezvous with the Crown Prince late at night, and now he's trying to secretly move my little master. If this gets out..."

"What exactly do you want?" the high priest asked, his voice trembling.

Ning Feng chuckled, "This Holy Maiden's patience is limited. I'll only give you three days. If you don't satisfy me within three days, then this little master..."

“Ah Zu…” Xiao Qin walked out of the secret room, her eyes filled with confusion and panic.

Looking at his granddaughter's innocent face, the high priest finally gave up: "I promise you."

"You made a wise choice." Ning Feng gently stroked Xiao Qin's hair. "Little Master, don't you think so?"

"Holy Maiden Sister..." Xiao Qin asked timidly, "Can I live with Azu?"

“Of course.” Ning Feng smiled gently, but the coldness in her eyes remained. “As long as the High Priest cooperates, this Holy Maiden will naturally not make things difficult for you.”

"Don't even think about using her!" The high priest stepped forward.

"Used?" Ning Feng sneered. "The High Priest's secret meeting with the Crown Prince late at night to transfer his granddaughter—isn't that what you call using her?"

The high priest paused for a moment.

"Grandpa," Xiao Qin tugged at the High Priest's sleeve, "did you really meet the Crown Prince?"

"Xiao Qin..." The high priest looked at his granddaughter's confused eyes, his heart breaking.

“High Priest,” Ning Feng said meaningfully, “you should know what to do, shouldn’t you?”

The high priest closed his eyes, his voice hoarse: "In three days, I will surely satisfy the Holy Maiden."

“Very good.” Ning Feng turned around. “This Holy Maiden eagerly awaits that day.”

The next day, the high priest suddenly said that he had sensed a celestial omen and wanted to perform divination.

"Today's astrological divination is underway. Your Highnesses, please await the proceedings." The High Priest knelt before the altar.

Standing in the shadows beneath the altar, Ning Feng's eyes flickered slightly.

“Master,” a young priest stepped forward, “let me prepare the spices for you.”

The high priest nodded slightly. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Xiao Qin praying quietly outside the temple.

Amidst the rising smoke of incense, the high priest performed calculations with his fingers. Suddenly, the surface of the water in the bronze bowl rippled, and a flash of golden light appeared.

"A celestial phenomenon!" the young priest exclaimed. "Master, this is..."

The high priest asked gravely, "What did you see?"

"Auspicious purple clouds rise from the east, and a golden dragon coils around," the young priest exclaimed excitedly. "This is an omen of a wise ruler descending upon the world!"

An uproar erupted outside the hall. The Crown Prince's expression changed drastically: "Absurd!"

"High Priest, may I ask?" Ning Feng stepped forward, "Is this truly true?"

The high priest looked at Xiao Qin and slowly nodded: "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed too much, but there are indeed signs that a wise ruler will appear."

"Nonsense! Father is in the prime of his life, where would any wise ruler appear? Even if there were, it should be Father!" The Crown Prince slammed his fist on the table and stood up.

"Your Highness," Ning Feng sneered, "Are you questioning the will of Heaven?"

Whispers rippled through the crowd, and the news quickly spread throughout the palace. Ning Feng stood outside the hall, a cold smile playing on her lips.

"Have you heard? The high priest says a wise ruler will be born." The diners in the teahouse were buzzing with discussion.

"Could it be the Crown Prince?"

"The Crown Prince?" an old man scoffed. "If he were the Crown Prince, why would the High Priest have used the words 'soon to appear'?"

"I heard," the storyteller lowered his voice, "that after the Holy Maiden returned to court, auspicious omens appeared frequently..."

"Could she be the Holy Maiden?"

"Nonsense!" a government official hissed. "Stop discussing state affairs!"

Inside the palace, Ning Feng listened to the secret report, a slight smile playing on her lips: "What are the people saying?"

"Most people think it's the Crown Prince or the Holy Maiden," Xiao Cui said. "Some even say it's that prince..."

"How is the Crown Prince doing?"

"They're as anxious as ants on a hot pan," Xiao Cui laughed. "They've already sent people to control the rumors."

"Control the rumors?" Ning Feng sneered. "That's a good idea."

The sound of chanting drifted in from outside the hall; it was Xiao Qin reciting scriptures. Ning Feng looked out the window: "Xiao Cui, find some people who haven't shown their faces before the Crown Prince and add fuel to the fire of the rumors."
