EROS [Zerg]

Eros's life at the academy was very fulfilling. In the blink of an eye, it was time for the military mechanic qualification exam. The exam consisted of a written test and a practical test, and the exam venue was the Imperial Academy of Science and Technology.

Eros had long heard of the Imperial Academy of Science and Technology. Over the millennia of Zerg history, countless elite scientists had emerged from here, making it the most renowned scientific Eden of the Zerg Empire.

After the exam, Eros stood among the waiting candidates with his admission ticket, awaiting the release of the exam results.

Only those who pass the written test can proceed to the practical test. Based on previous years, the ratio of candidates who passed the written test to the total number of candidates was 1:200.

Although Eros didn't find the exam questions particularly difficult, he was still a little nervous because the success rate was so low. Losing even one point could mean all his hard work would be for nothing.

The wait for the results was long, and Eros thought that being anxious in place wouldn't change anything. The rainbow reflected from the light changed in countless ways in the water, and as the light and shadow shifted, Eros saw a female insect standing behind the fountain.

The female insect's golden hair shimmered under the light reflected from the waterfall, and even from a distance, one could sense her intellectual aura.

For some reason, Eros felt a sense of déjà vu as he looked at the figure, but he had never seen anyone similar to this female insect in his memory.

Just as Eros was lost in thought, the female insect on the other side of the waterfall seemed to sense that an insect was watching her, and turned her head slightly to look in Eros's direction.

When their eyes met suddenly, Eros was taken aback, seeing a moment of surprise reflected in the other's clear, deep blue eyes.

"Who are you?" the female insect asked, looking at the little female insect opposite her through the water curtain.

The female insect was wearing a uniform bearing the emblem of the Imperial Academy of Science and Technology, clearly indicating that she was a staff member here.

Eros snapped out of his daze and quickly explained, "I'm a candidate here to take the exam."

"Are you here to take the military mechanic job qualification exam?" The female insect nodded, then looked at Eros with a smile: "You little female insect still have the mood to come out for a walk, it seems you are very confident in your performance."

Eros scratched his head sheepishly: "I have done my best to prepare for this exam, and the results are already set in stone."

Hearing this, the blue-eyed female insect smiled calmly: "If that's what you think, I guess you wouldn't be too satisfied with just looking at these buildings from the outside, would you?"

"There's still some time before the results are released. Would you like to go in and take a look?"

“You look a lot like my bug offspring.” Kove looked at Eros and pointed to the fountain in front of him. “He loved playing under this fountain when he was little. I almost mistook you for him just now.”

Seeing that Kove looked very young, Eros thought to himself that his insect offspring was probably still just a small insect offspring. How could he possibly look like a small insect offspring?

"It's a great honor!"

Kowe looked at Eros, who seemed eager to get started, and slightly raised the corners of his lips: "Come on."

Eros followed Kowe through a long doorway to a transparent suspended staircase.

Kowe pressed his palm on the movable light panel in front of the suspended staircase door, and soon a beam of red light shot out from the panel and landed on Kowe's name tag, sweeping up and down.

Not long after, a mechanical recognition sound was heard, and the transparent spinning door slid open to the left and right.

Stepping inside the suspended staircase, Eros's eyes lit up as he discovered a hidden world within.

The suspended staircase is very spacious, and because it is made of transparent material, you can see the interior of this laboratory building from 360 degrees.

Eros approached the wall of the suspended staircase, his eyes wide open. He could see the sophisticated scientific instruments on each floor and the busy insects inside.

Suddenly, Eros noticed with surprise that among the busy insects, there were a few unique ones that seemed out of place.

"Is that... a male insect?"

“Ah, yes.” Kowe nodded, seemingly unsurprised.

"How could a male insect..."

"You want to ask why male insects come out to work, right?" Kove explained, "If they stay in the house all the time, even if they are surrounded by toys and food, male insects will get bored."

“Those males all came out voluntarily to find something to do; they are all quite outstanding males.”

Eros nodded in agreement: "So male insects can actually work. I was just ignorant; I thought it was just a concept."

"A concept?" Kowe looked at Eros with interest. "Have you ever had this idea before?"

“No, not at all.” Eros shook his head: “The risks for male insects going out to work are too great.”

"But I have seen this concept in the Code of Conduct for Citizens of the Sixth Galaxy Insect Planet."

"You've seen that?" Kowe nodded, then turned and asked, "What did you think of what was written in it?"

Eros's eyes were reluctant to leave the technological kingdom outside the floating elevator, so he said without hesitation, "That's a very good idea, but the idea is too advanced."

"If male insects can get a job, it's a good thing for them. A job can earn them real respect from society and also reduce the burden on their families."

Kove looked at the little female insect with great interest: "Do you think the male insects aren't getting enough respect these days?"
