Carit, his face sour, clutched his personal belongings and the newly received letter of appointment. To think Afdero would actually make him Lucarissa's assistant—he was utterly shameless!

His position at the Imperial Academy of Science and Technology was as Kowe's assistant. Because Kowe held a military rank, Karit's status was equivalent to that of an assistant to a general.

Now Afro actually made him work as an assistant to a lieutenant colonel, and because Carit didn't have military status, he wasn't even considered an assistant.

“I didn’t open it.” Carit’s gaze instantly sharpened, all traces of his previous nonchalance vanished.

“FBL-6.” Lucarissa looked at Carit with a mixture of inquiry and suspicion.

Carit's gaze made it no exaggeration for him to guess that Carit's identity was far more than just an ordinary sub-female assistant brought by Afdero.

The sheer aura that could make the surrounding insects sense something was wrong with just a simple change in expression was definitely not something an ordinary sub-female could possess.

Most of the students at the First Military Academy of the Insect Star Empire were either rich or noble, while the majority of the male insects drinking at the tavern where they worked in Carit were commoner male insects. So when they saw a group of female military insects in neat school uniforms surrounding them, those male insects who usually only dared to bully commoner female insects and sub-female insects all chickened out.

Carit stood pale-faced behind his classmates, escorted out of the tavern where he worked part-time by a group of tall female soldiers. Rosetta was among them, and before leaving, she draped her coat over Carit's shoulders.
