EROS [Zerg]

Chapter 217 Meeting

“Darcy, take the new student around to familiarize him with the environment.” Joseph turned his gaze back to the letter of appointment in front of him.

The principal's office door closed, and Joseph looked up at Carit: "We will do our utmost to comply with His Majesty the Insect King's instructions."

"But I have a question, which concerns my students."

Carit will respond with a smile: "You want to know the whereabouts of that female insect named Eros?"

Joseph nodded: "He is an excellent student, but he recently took a leave of absence. I'd like to know if he is involved in this matter?"

“A test subject that deviates from the experimental parameters will naturally be destroyed, Principal. He is not the first, nor will he be the last. You must learn to adapt.” Carret brought his claw to his mouth, making a shushing gesture.

"His Majesty the Insect King has made his own decision, and neither you nor I need to question it."

Darcy showed Aphrodite around the academy, and when they reached the outside of the fighting arena, Aphrodite saw through the glass that the students were fighting fiercely, just like two years ago when he left.

Aphrodite looked away and said listlessly to Darcy, "Let's go to the teaching building."

"Eros?"

No sooner had they finished speaking than a surprised voice came from behind them.

Afro lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment before recognizing the owner of the voice.

Afro did not turn his head, his face devoid of any extra expression, as if he had never known Galilee, his behavior marked by obvious aloofness.

“Eros!” Gali’s gaze fell on Afdero. Although the female insect in front of him had become tall and strong, he still felt that this female insect was Eros.

Besides Eros, who else could look so much like Evanson Eastland?

Gally rushed over and put his paw on Afdero's shoulder: "Eros, why are you ignoring the bug?!"

Afro glanced at the other person with a puzzled expression: "Is there something you need?"

Seeing Aphrodite's cold attitude, and remembering Galli's fiery temper, Darcy could only step in to explain: "Galli, this student's name is Aphrodite, you've mistaken him for someone else."

"Afudro?"

Gali stared incredulously into Afdro's emotionless eyes: "You're really not Eros?"

Afro brushed away the claws that Gali had gripped on his shoulder. "You've mistaken the insect for something else."

The other party's cold attitude was completely different from the gentle appearance of Eros in his memory, so Gali had to believe that the person standing in front of him was another insect.

"Which class is he in?" Aphrodite turned her gaze back to Darcy and asked.

“They are now students in Class 3 of the Star Class. They used to be in the Comet Class, but the Comet Class has been disbanded. All the original students of the Comet Class have dropped out, and only a few students have stayed. Galilee is one of them.” Darcy looked at Aphrodite beside him and said, “Eros, whom he just mentioned, used to be a student in the Comet Class as well.”

As Aphrodite listened, he walked toward the dormitory. Darcy wanted to ask Aphrodite if he knew anything about Eros, but seeing the other's indifferent expression, he felt it was inappropriate to speak.

"Your Excellency, I would like to have a dormitory of my own." After touring the campus, Afro checked the time displayed on his wrist computer, looked up at Darcy and made his request: "For His Majesty the Insect King's great cause, I need to cooperate with Dean Kowe's work, so I do not want to waste my energy on other insects."

Darcy nodded in agreement, “Of course you can. There are many empty dorm rooms available after the Comet Class was disbanded. You can go and choose one.”

"Thank you." Aphrodite nodded and walked towards the dormitory.

Guided by his memory, Afro went to the room he had shared with Alai before, and after asking the dormitory manager, he decided to stay in the same dormitory.

After closing the door, Eros pressed his back against it, breathing heavily. A hint of vulnerability flashed in his dark purple eyes, but it was only momentary and was quickly concealed.

He dared not let the insects he knew know that he was still their friend Eros. They were all spirited young female insects, and if they knew about the cruel experiments that Kove had done on them, they would definitely get into trouble if they stood up for him and angered Kove.

Moreover... Eros didn't want Kove to know too much about his insectoid relationships.

You're very defensive.

A slightly teasing voice echoed in my mind.

“Aphrodite, don’t make assumptions about my thoughts,” Eros warned.

[Actually, you don't need to be so... secretive. Haven't you noticed? That guy Kowe doesn't care at all.]

“I know he may not care, but I do care.”

Eros thought to himself.

Eros wasn't saddened by the fact that he might have schizophrenia; instead, he felt somewhat fortunate, knowing that for a long time to come, he would have someone to confide in.

After being treated like that, I thought you'd want to take revenge on society.

Eros scoffed, "Anything that can be easily changed is garbage."

You're quite unique.

Eros pursed his lips and began tidying up his dorm room.

Because no insects had lived there for a long time, the dormitory had accumulated a layer of dust.

Eros found a rag and began to tidy up the room little by little. When he got to Alai's cabinet, Eros remembered that Alai's collection was still kept in the cabinet, and that he had put the key under his pillow before he left.

Having been away for so long, Eros wiped the collection lying in the cupboard and missed Alai.

However, given the current situation, it would be best if we didn't see Alai at all.

Eros smiled slightly as he thought of Alai.

Perhaps friendship has power; even in this situation, he could feel a sense of relief when he thought of his friends.

Kowe should never expect him to back down. Eros's eyes darkened; he was determined to make the other party pay the price.

After getting ready, Eros walked out of the dormitory with his textbooks.

The same sound of a door locking came from the side. Eros turned his head and saw a long-legged, tall female insect standing in the corridor.

This floor used to be the residence of the students in the Comet Class. Now that the Comet Class has disbanded, there shouldn't be any insects living here.

“Aphrodite, you live on this floor too.”

Afro looked at Gali, smiled and nodded: "There are fewer bugs on this floor, I like it quiet."

“Darcy told me that this floor was where the original Comet Class students lived. After the Comet Class disbanded, this place was left vacant.”

"Gali, you're from the star class, why are you living on this floor?"

Gally's scrutinizing gaze fell on Afdero: "They've disbanded, but I haven't left."

"The principal agreed that we could stay at the school to continue our education."

Are there any other insects on this floor?

"There is one more."
