EROS [Zerg]

Eros was startled by Commander Enel's voice. He pursed his lips and turned to look at Enel uneasily.

The room was pitch black with the lights off, and Eros suddenly felt a sense of relief. In the darkness, Commander Enel might not notice his unease, nor would he know what he was struggling with.

"Eros, you can tell me if you have any difficulties."

“Keeping your troubles to yourself is not a smart thing to do.”

Eros looked on with surprise and suspicion, wondering if Enl had already seen through his thoughts.

“Commander Enel, I…” Just as Eros was stammering, unsure of where to begin, he heard the rustling sound of blankets rubbing together, and his hand was grabbed.

Eros realized that Enel had gripped his claws.

"Eros, it will make you feel better if you talk about it." The warmth of Enl's palm in the darkness made Eros feel like it was burning.

"I'm worried you'll think I'm being too inappropriate with Kam." Eros silently buried his head under the covers, honestly afraid to imagine Commander Enel's expression right now.

The silence in the darkness made the insects uneasy.

Eros was filled with unease when suddenly his ears caught a faint sound, like laughter.

It was brief and fleeting, leading Eros to believe he was hallucinating.

"will not."

Eros felt Commander Enel's hand gently patting his head in a comforting gesture: "I can tell he likes you a lot."

“I know Kam’s temper. If a bug does something he doesn’t like, he definitely won’t talk to him anymore.”

"Didn't he also say he wanted you to be his empress?"

Enel's words did not comfort Eros:

“I always felt like I had deceived him.”

Eros buried his face in the blanket: "He said he likes me, but I... I don't actually like him that much, and I don't want to be his female insect."

Ener said, "Kamo is an obedient little bug."

Eros said dejectedly, "It's fine, but I... I'm scared."

"When I see male insects, I think of my life in the underground auction house. I thought I would forget it, but time has not made me forget that experience. Instead, it has made me more afraid."

“I…I’m terrified of being sent back.”

"It's okay." Ener gently pulled Eros, blanket and all, into his arms, comforting him like a baby insect: "I've been scared too."

“But then I realized it was all unnecessary.” Ener’s voice became very low: “The male insects themselves are not dangerous things; to put it bluntly, they are just tools of those dictators’ rule.”

“Those dictators who wield power and pheromones are the source of our fear.”

"We are all female insects, why would they do this?"

"Because our fear is their weapon of domination over us."

"Of course, those male insects that hurt us are also despicable, but it's safe here now, so you can get a good night's sleep."

Enel's comfort was magical; Eros's body gradually relaxed and he soon fell asleep.

Enl held the sleeping Eros in his arms, his paws gently stroking Eros's soft hair. His emerald green eyes were dark and cold in the darkness, like a deep pool.

"Father-mother..."

Eros murmured softly in his sleep, which made Enl loosen his grip on his back.

Eros dreamed of the blurry female insect again.

The female insect had the same platinum blonde hair as Eros, and her body was much taller and stronger than Eros's own.

The female insect seemed to be saying something, but Eros couldn't hear it clearly, only vaguely making out a few names:

“Santons…Evanson…Eros…”

Eros was greatly alarmed. Why was the female insect calling his name? And what did this have to do with Evanson? And who was Santons?

"Who are you?!"

"Please tell me who you are!"

A strong premonition surged within Eros: the insect in his dream definitely knew something about him!

Perhaps Eros's intense desire influenced his dream, for the female insect in the dream moved.

The female insect turned to face Eros, but in this dream, his face was so blurry that the insect could not see it clearly.

Eros watched as the female insect approached him step by step, as if she could see him.

In the dream, the female insect stretched out a claw towards Eros, but the claw stopped halfway in mid-air.

Eros thought the other party had stopped moving, but he soon saw the female insect's claws in front of him, as if it were stroking something.

He noticed that the other person seemed to be touching a piece of glass.

I was inside the transparent glass, while the other person was outside, and the handprints on their claws were clearly visible.

Eros looked at the clear palm lines in front of him, then suddenly realized something and looked up to meet a clear face.

Eros stared at that face, his heart pounding with uncontrollable fear and trembling. He tried to call out the name, but found himself unable to utter a sound. Eros shuddered, and a flash of white appeared before his eyes.

When he opened his eyes, he found that he was still lying in bed.

Commander Enl was no longer by his side.

Eros reached out a paw to touch the lingering warmth of the sheets, recalling the dream he had just had, and sat up in bed with lingering fear.

He looked around the room and, realizing it was already daylight, reluctantly lay back down on the bed with a tired expression.

I'm having these strange dreams again.

Eros thought he should probably go to the hospital to have his mental abilities checked.

Despite thinking this way, Eros couldn't help but recall everything that happened in his dream.

“That face…” Eros touched his face with his claws, recalling the face in his dream that was exactly the same as his own, so familiar yet so strange.

Eros was certain that the female insect in his dream was not himself.

"Eros, you're awake?"

Ener heard the noise in the room and pushed the door open, only to see a tired-looking Eros.

Didn't you sleep well last night?

Eros shook his head and told Enl about his dream from the previous night.

"Don't overthink it. We'll go to the military headquarters in a bit, and Berlanham will check your mental strength."

Enel smoothed Eros's disheveled hair with his paw and pulled him out of bed: "I've made some simple food. Get up and eat something. We'll go to the military headquarters in a bit."

Eros nodded and followed Enel into the living room. As they passed Kame's room, he couldn't help but glance in that direction a few more times: "Won't Kame be worried when he wakes up and can't see the bugs after we leave?"

“No, he’s always been very independent.” Enel placed a plate of heated energy cubes in front of Eros. “Before you came here, he spent his whole day as a bug.”
