EROS [Zerg]

Chapter 200 Negotiation

"Do you know how?"

Eros smiled apologetically.

"I had originally thought of that, but after reading your draft, I think it's unnecessary."

"A bug that tries to joke with me wouldn't treat a toy as seriously as you do."

Jessica looked down at Eros's manuscript, as he slowly and carefully turned each page.

Eros sat quietly to one side and waited.

“The idea is great,” Jessica nodded. “But male insect offspring might not be interested in these toy weapons, so the market isn’t big.”

Eros said, "The target audience for these toys I designed is not actually male insect larvae, but female insect larvae."

Jessica shook her head at Eros's statement: "Sentimentality won't make money for the company."

"How many star coins do those female insect offspring have? If we target them as customers, it will be difficult to even break even."

"Toys are fun, but you have to choose the right target customers."

After hearing Jessica's words, Eros seemed to have thought of something. He raised his head and looked at the male insect, opening his mouth but making no sound.

"Just say whatever comes to mind." Jessica unwrapped a mint lollipop and put it in her mouth.

Eros nodded: "Judging from what you're saying, it seems more appropriate to target adult female insects as customers?"

Upon hearing Eros's idea, Jessica remained silent for a moment, then suddenly laughed and said, "You certainly dare to think that way."

“Yes.” Eros nodded honestly, then raised the corners of his mouth: “I’ve always been bold.”

Jessica leaned back in the animal-shaped sofa, yawned softly, and glanced at Eros out of the corner of her eye: "I'm very interested in your manuscripts and am willing to pay 30 star coins to buy them outright. If you agree, I'll transfer 30 star coins to you right now, and you can leave with the money. The contents of these manuscripts will have nothing to do with you from now on."

"There is a second option: partner with me to establish a small company, with you responsible for all profits and losses."

“I choose the first option,” Eros said decisively.

Jessica smiled, retrieved a contract from her personal terminal for Eros to sign, and after a few more steps, a notification sound came from Eros's personal terminal account indicating that star coins had been credited to his account.

"Thank you."

“You seem to have something else to say.” Jessica picked up the now-defoamed Coke from the table and slowly took a sip.

“I would like to invest in your small company, combining capital and technology.” Eros slightly raised the corners of his mouth: “The manuscripts you have purchased are only a part of the total.”

"What about the rest? Why don't you name a price?" Jessica didn't think 300,000 star coins would satisfy the female insect in front of her. After all, the female insect had just said that she used to be a military mechanic, so she must have seen money before.

“They’re all here.” Eros tapped his forehead.

"The toy models in the manuscript were just spaceships, guns, mechs, and the like, but I've seen much more: starships, space stations, satellites..."

"Their value is millions of times that of 300,000 Star Coins."

“Toys can’t buy that much money.” Jessica listened to Eros’s boastful words but didn’t laugh at him.

“The profit margin for toys is indeed not high, but what if—and I mean what if,” Eros emphasized, lowering his voice slightly—“what if we could transform the business?”

Jessica was momentarily stunned by Eros's words: "What transformation...! You mean...?"

"What if?" Eros didn't offer much explanation, but simply smiled slightly, responding to Jessica with a respectful, kind, and slightly cunning smile.

"You really have wild ideas." Jessica took the lollipop out of her mouth and began to take the female insect in front of her seriously.

“There’s no industry more profitable than this, and I think you would be very interested.” Eros lowered his eyelids. “And it’s very dignified.”

Jessica felt that every word spoken by the female insect named Eros was like a baited hook, slowly dragging her inner desires to the surface: "I am a male insect."

"Of course, male insects have an advantage in today's society, and you would be an excellent partner."

"..."

……

Before leaving the male insect's house, Eros glanced back at the gray curtains and softly suggested, "Your Excellency, it's better for an insect to get some sunshine at home."

Jessica pushed him out the door.

Eros stepped out of the room with an unchanged expression. Seeing that it was still early, he walked home with a lighter pace than usual.

I passed by the dessert shop where I used to work and went in to say hello to the owner, Ya Ci.

"Take some snacks back for your little male son. This is a new product I just developed." The shopkeeper smiled and handed him a beautiful cake drizzled with jam. He still remembered the first time he met Eros, who was an overly shy little female insect. He never expected that seeing him again now would make him seem like a completely different insect.

Eros did not refuse his boss's kindness. As a return gift, he gave the cute sub-female who liked to wear a warm yellow apron a beautifully crafted toy mecha model he had made.

"It's so beautiful! Did you make it yourself? That brat Eluka will be ecstatic when she sees it after school."

"Please give my regards to Eluka." Eros smiled as he watched the shopkeeper place the toy on the table.

Ailuka is the boss's bug offspring, but not his biological daughter.

The sub-female is infertile, but that doesn't stop the boss from raising the orphan of the male and female ruler as his own offspring.

There were too many reasons for this, and Eros wasn't entirely clear on them. He only knew that the owner was a sub-female who had been abandoned by a male insect. After settling here, she opened a dessert shop with the female insect offspring who had also been abandoned by the male insects. Many insect offspring loved the desserts here.

After saying goodbye to the dessert shop owner, Eros guessed that Camus would probably be hungry, so he quickened his pace to get home.

When Eros opened the door, he didn't receive the usual affectionate pounce from the little boy.

Eros felt a little uncomfortable. When he walked into the living room, he found Commander Enel sitting on the sofa, still wearing his military uniform.

Kam was held in his female father's arms and curled up in a ball. He snuggled against his female father's arms affectionately, showing none of the aloofness that a little male should have. He was having a great time playing, or rather being played with.

“Eros, you’re back.” Enl was the first to spot Eros as he walked in, and he stretched out a paw to beckon him to come closer.

"I came back this time because I have something to tell you about your studies."

"Eh... Eros!" The male insect cub, who was being held in his arms, was too happy to notice the female insect entering the room. Only after being reminded by his female father did he notice the female insect walking in.

Kam blushed slightly, muttering to himself that it was all his mother's fault for tickling his belly and making Eros laugh at him.

"Cake." Eros looked at her, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and placed the cake in her paws on the table. "This is for you."

"Thank you, Eros!" Camus really wanted to hug Eros's neck and kiss him when he saw the cake, but because his mother was there, he could only obediently say thank you.

“I have already spoken with your college. Because of your current physical condition, you are not yet able to adapt to the teaching courses of the Beginner Star Class. The Comet Class also does not have any instructors at the moment. So I have arranged for you to take a three-year leave of absence with your student status retained.”
