EROS [Zerg]

"Eros, look! This is the first dish Kame made!" The little bug was lying on the table, looking at the beautifully colored food that he had brought to the table. He was very excited and asked Eros to take a picture of the food and send it to his female father.

Eros smiled and agreed to each request, taking many photos for Cam and then sending the photos chosen by the little boy to Commander Ener.

"Eros, try it and see if it's good." Kamoo eagerly handed the utensils to the female insect in front of him. This was his first time cooking, and Eros had praised him for being very serious. He hoped the taste would be just as good.

Eros knew the food on the plate in front of him wouldn't taste bad; he controlled all the ingredients and seasonings. But to please the little bug, he pretended to look forward and scooped up a spoonful and put it in his mouth.

“This is truly the best thing I’ve ever eaten.” Eros gave Cameron a definite compliment: “It’s even better than what I make myself. Cameron is so talented.”

"Our little boy is so amazing!"

As he spoke, Eros scooped up another large spoonful, praising and complimenting him incessantly.

Seeing that Eros really enjoyed the food he had made, Kamehameha's smile stretched from ear to ear: "I'm Eros's favorite little boy, right?"

Eros glanced at Camus, clearly understanding the little insect's thoughts, but he didn't answer immediately.

“Eros?” Kamehameha tugged at Eros’s sleeve. “Why aren’t you answering me?”

After receiving no response for a while, Kamehameha became worried: "Eros...do you not like me anymore?"

“Camel is cute, I don’t dislike him.” Eros shook his head. “I’m just wondering how long Camel will like me?”

"If Kamah always likes me, then I will always like Kamah."

"But how long will Kamo like me?"

"If Kame has other female rulers or servants in the future, will Kame still like me?"

The little boy listened intently. He hadn't thought about this before, but he still told Eros earnestly the first thing he did: "I will always like you, I will always like you the most, the most, the most."

"What about your future queen and concubines? Won't you like them?"

"My queen is Eros. If I had other female servants, I would like them a little bit, but I will still love you the most!"

Eros nodded: "That's the problem."

"A problem?" Kamo didn't understand.

“You’re still young, you don’t need to understand.” Eros shook his head and placed his claws on his heart: “Don’t believe those who say that female insects are only devoted to male insects. That’s just to please you male insects. As for what’s true, the heart is in the chest. Even if you dig it out, it’s not transparent. Who can see it?”

"If someone makes you happy, what does it matter to you whether they are sincere or not, and how much of that sincerity is genuine?"

"The reverse is also true. As long as the other person can feel happy, what difference does it make whether there is sincerity or how much sincerity is used?"

Kam blinked, bewildered. "But I still don't understand."

Kam felt that Eros was speaking very seriously, but he couldn't understand it. He thought about it for a long time, but his little brain still couldn't figure it out: "If you don't use your heart, how can you make the other person feel happy, and why should you make the other person feel happy?"

Kam didn't understand Eros's words, but he understood something else: he still didn't understand Eros.

“Kamo wants to understand Eros. If I understand you, I’ll know how to make you happy.” The little boy said this with a soft smile on his face.

This smile warmed Eros's heart.

"Thank you, Kamo."

After the two insects finished their dinner, Kamehameha stayed in front of the TV watching cartoons, while Eros washed the dishes and took the model he had bought during the day back to his bedroom.

Eros took out the tools he bought on his way home and began to disassemble the parts that were strung together with wire, piece by piece.

Looking at the parts laid out on the table, Eros also wanted to try to use these things to make a model that could be sold.

Although he had lost an arm, Eros still had his skills and used his left claw to sketch out a blueprint for a mecha on paper, based on his memory.

Looking at the slightly crooked lines, Eros nodded in satisfaction. Toy models are different from real mechs; they don't need to be too detailed, as long as the outer shell is similar.

With limited materials and tools, Eros made only simple modifications: smoothing the edges of the parts, replacing the wire with glue at the joints, and adding some nice color to the surface. Only after all the modifications were complete did Eros feel that it barely resembled a mecha.

Eros took the model out of the room, went to the living room, walked over to the little bug whose eyes were fixed on the TV, and placed the small model on the table.

"I made this. See if you like it?"

The young boy looked away from the television, glanced at Eros, and then at the mecha model placed on the table.

He grasped the model placed on the table with his little paws, looked at it closely, and asked curiously, "What is this?"

"Huh? You don't know?" Eros thought the little boy would know: "This is a toy model made by scaling down the blueprints of the mecha."

"This is a mecha? I've only ever seen them on a computer." Kam held the toy model, looking somewhat uninterested.

Most of the mecha battle scenes he watched on the StarNet were officially edited videos.

The official view is that male insects only need to know that such a thing exists; they do not need to operate it or know how powerful it is.

Mechs are weapons after all, and improper operation can easily lead to injury.

Every female bug learning to build a mech inevitably gets bumped a few times.

If the male insect offspring see the truly powerful mechs and want to operate them, then things will get complicated.

Eros took the toy model from Kamo's hand, retrieved the combat log of "Corona" from his own personal computer, and placed it in front of Kamo.

"My teacher was a military mechanic who designed this mecha. Look at how I copied it. Does it look similar?"

Kam listened to Eros's voice with a bit of disbelief, feeling that Eros was asking him for praise.

The little boy stared intently at the video appearing on the terminal screen.

"How can it be so big?!"

On the screen, the mecha was as tall as the house, making the female insect sitting inside appear so small that she was almost invisible.

Kamo looked at Eros, who was several times taller than him, and gasped, "How can he be so big?!"

"The ones I saw in the academy were only two Eros tall."

"Mechs are divided into several types according to their purpose, and most of the ones that can enter the school are display and ceremonial mechs."

“Aside from military academies, mechs that can enter the battlefield don’t usually appear in front of us easily.”

After seeing the real footage of mecha battles, Kam's eyes, which had previously shown little interest, now widened in surprise.

Eros looked down at the little male's involuntarily curled paws and knew that the little bug's paws were itching for a bite.

"Mechs are not the biggest weapons of war. You will see combat ships and interstellar warships in the future. The most advanced warships in the Empire now cover an area the size of a state, and you can't see the end of them."

"Wow..." Kam's eyes lit up, and he opened his arms: "I want to join the army too, and I want to fly a mech that big and pilot a warship that big!!"

Eros ruffled Camo's hair and put the model back in his palm: "Take it and play with it if you like."
