EROS [Zerg]

Chapter 195 Figure it out

“That’s all.” Eros placed the plate on the table beside him and used his left paw to tuck his right sleeve together.

"Who bullied you?" Kam asked.

"No." Eros looked down at his coat, which was already half torn off, and didn't want to continue arguing with the insect cub. He picked up the plate and headed towards the kitchen.

Kamehameha held onto Eros's clothes tightly with both paws, he really didn't want Eros to leave.

The difference in strength between the male and female insects was too great; Kam was practically dragged along the floor barefoot.

Dragged a meter across the floor, Kam finally couldn't hold back any longer and shouted with her eyes closed, "I still like you! I'm just a little angry!"

Eros took a deep breath and stopped in his tracks.

Turning around and seeing the pitiful helplessness on Kam's face, Eros could only put down the plate again, squat down, and touch Kam's face with his paw: "I'll move out in a few days."

"do not want!"

Hearing that Eros was leaving, Kamehameha quickly hugged him, saying, "I didn't want you to leave!"

"You said you liked me the most!"

“Eros can’t be so mean, going back on his word…” The little male buried his face in the female insect’s arms, looking pitiful and aggrieved.

“I am a female insect. Female insects are different from male insects. Male insects can easily get what they want, but female insects cannot.” Eros shook his right arm, which was only half left. “There is a price to pay.”

"To survive, one may have to pay the price of having a disability for the rest of their life."

"To like an insect may come at a high price."

"I am very poor and cannot afford any price."

Kam pursed his lips, stared wide-eyed at the female insect, and finally whimpered pitifully, "I'm not asking you for anything... What can't you afford?"

"So you're going to break your promise? You're not going to like me anymore?"

"Even if Eros is a penniless pauper, Camus still likes him very much, no, he likes you the most!"

"Thank you for your kindness, I will remember it." Eros stroked the little male's soft hair, letting the male insect cub cry willfully in his arms without letting go.

Eros only picked up Kam and put him into his sleep capsule after the little bug had cried itself out and fallen asleep on his shoulder.

"I will remember." Before closing the sleep capsule, Eros gently squeezed the insect's soft claws.

He didn't believe that any male insect could remain devoted to only one female from beginning to end. Even a powerful female like Evanson was ultimately betrayed by Grand Duke Kavenor.

He could only believe that the current Kamehameha only liked him.

This feeling of being liked only truly exists in this short span of time.

"Good night."

Eros returned to his room and continued tidying up. By the time he finished cleaning, it was already dark.

Eros picked up the terminal that Commander Enl had repurchased for him from the table.

Perhaps to avoid stirring up his painful memories, this time the terminal was a mechanical ear clip.

Eros lightly tapped the blue button in the middle of the ear clip with the tip of his claw, and a square screen with sides of 20 centimeters was projected in front of his eyes.

Connecting the terminal to the StarNet, Eros began searching for tickets to a spaceship bound for the Sixth Star System.

He still had to go to the sixth star system.

Eros logged into the ticketing website, wanting to book a spaceship ticket directly to the Sixth Star System, but found that he couldn't pass the identity verification process.

Eros's face darkened instantly. He didn't know what had happened, and he dared not act rashly to seek confirmation.

If you want to travel to the Sixth Star System now, you'll probably have to buy a fake identity on the black market, just like before, to board those cheap, unsecured interstellar ships.

However, Eros, who had just experienced his ship being hijacked by Starway, was still somewhat wary of this approach.

Unable to find a good solution after much thought, Eros could only pass the time by browsing information on the StarNet.

What was once a bright future has become uncertain and boundless again.

While aimlessly browsing the StarNet, Eros suddenly came across a job posting.

It's a small parts factory that's hiring employees, offering 3,000 Star Coins a month.

Looking at the job posting, Eros couldn't help but think of his studies.

Students in the Comet Class have begun to drop out one after another, and there are no longer any instructors to teach the class.

The Comet Class is practically defunct; the few remaining students are just wasting their time at the academy.

As for whether he can return to the star-studded class...

Eros looked at his severed arm. Even if he were naive, he wouldn't be so foolish as to think he could go back to school.

I should find a job first and then slowly think about what I want to do in the future. I can't keep troubling Commander Ener.

Looking at the job posting on the StarNet, Eros wrote his resume overnight, sent it to the factory that was recruiting, and then fell into a deep sleep.

His wounds had just healed, and he often felt very tired, so he slept very soundly. So when he woke up and touched a warm and soft "ball of flesh" nestled in his arms, he was stunned for a full minute before he realized what was happening.

When Eros pulled back the covers, he found that a certain insect larva was sleeping soundly, its limbs clinging to him like an octopus.

I don't know when it crawled in.

The baby insect's arm slipped under the female insect's loose white pajamas, its chubby palm pressed against the female insect's abdominal skin. The warm, damp touch made the female insect stop in her tracks.

Eros lowered his gaze to the soundly sleeping Cam, wondering what the little insect was thinking.

Eros gently removed the insect's claws and legs from his body and carefully covered Kam with a blanket.

After preparing breakfast for Camus, Eros placed himself on the balcony and sat quietly for a long time.

Eros prepared to tidy himself up and go out for a walk.

Eros took a hat before leaving.

The insect-made sun made the daytime temperature very warm, and Eros went to every shop in the vicinity where he could submit his resume.

He realized that he couldn't keep cowering and hiding forever.

From the very beginning, his reason for heading to the Sixth Star System was that he had injured Admiral Kowe, and he was afraid of being arrested and imprisoned, afraid of being used for experiments, and afraid of losing the little bit of achievement and status that he had worked so hard to obtain.

And now? It seems he has no achievements or status anymore.

He's currently in the fourth star system, and Kowe can't catch him for the time being.

His only fear was that he would be punished for injuring Kowe and forging his identity to board the hijacked spaceship.

With these two incidents as his criminal record, he can forget about ever working in the military again.

Furthermore, the fact that one's identity information cannot be used to purchase tickets for interstellar spaceships most likely indicates that one's information has been controlled by some insects.

If that's the case, going to the sixth star system won't be a simple matter either; at least he can't do it now.

Eros checked his Star Card account and found he still had a little bit of Star Coins, which made the female insect a little happy, as it was at least more than when he first arrived in the first star system.

Although it's not much, it's the only thing he has right now that gives him a little bit of a sense of security.

A bug that's scared to death by something that hasn't even happened yet is a fool.

Eros thought:

I should find a job, but I'll have to take it one step at a time from now on.
