"The truth about my brother's death is in Evita's laboratory. I need you to find it for me."

Seeing the unnatural look on the male insect's face, Eros asked, "If the answer you're looking for is in the Evita Laboratory, why don't you just ask your female father, General Kove? Why do you need an alien insect like me to search for it for you?"

“I don’t know the cause of my brother’s death yet, but the female father placed him here without explaining it to the outside world. I suspect that my brother did not die a natural death.”

"I can understand that you don't have a definitive answer regarding Lieutenant General Evanson's death either, is that right?" Eros looked directly at the male insect, Yajon. "And you suspect that Admiral Kowe might be a potential murderer?"

"Your genetic information matches my brother's 100%."

"The first possibility is that you are my brother, but my brother is right there."

“If you can get into Evita’s lab, you’ll know I’m not kidding.”

“You’re being watched by them now. If you agree to help me, I can offer you shelter.”

Eros stopped and turned to look at Lord Yachon: "Forgive me, Your Excellency Yachon, I cannot give you an answer now."

Yaqiong tossed an identification card to Eros: "You can come here anytime."

Eros caught the identification card without refusing it.

Back in Evanson's room, Eros locked the door twice before collapsing to the floor, exhausted, and slid down against the door.

The light streaming in through the window gradually dimmed over time, and Eros only snapped out of his reverie when he heard Cardian calling him to dinner from outside the door behind him.

Eros felt hungry; he had never felt so tired.

"Eros, would you like to come downstairs and eat with us, or would you like to have some food brought to your room?" Kadian knocked on Eros's door.

"I'll go down in a bit." Eros thought that since this was his first time staying here, it was best to be polite.

“Both the male and female fathers are here today, so you can get to know them better.” Kadian smiled and handed Eros a drink.

"Thank you." Eros took the drink. "I'll tidy up and come down right away."

Kadian nodded: "Yes, you can tell me if you need anything."

Eros quickly tidied himself up and followed Cardian to the restaurant.

The patriarch of the Eastland family, Locke, and his wife, Cowell, were already seated at the dining table. Upon seeing Cardian and Eros, Locke nodded, indicating that they could sit down.

"Yaqiong hasn't returned yet?" Kowe frowned as he looked at the empty space in front of him.

“Father, I have already communicated with the Master, and he will be back soon,” Cardian said.

"No need to wait for him." Locke didn't want to waste time waiting for his male offspring, so he picked up his utensils and started eating.

Seeing that the insects on the table had begun to feed, Eros picked up his utensils. Before the food even entered his mouth, he heard General Kowe ask him:

"Eros, Captain Monte of the guards told me that Ajahn took you to Evita just now?"

Kove's voice was devoid of emotion, but Eros felt as if every syllable he uttered weighed a ton on his heart.

"Aren't red roses pretty?"

“I prefer white flowers; red is too bright.” Eros glanced tentatively at Admiral Kowe, only to find that the other man wasn’t even looking at him.

Eros felt a tightness in his throat and couldn't swallow any food.

He withdrew his gaze from Kowi, only to meet Cardian's probing look.

Eros could not describe the emotion he felt in Cardian's gaze at that moment.

"Did the master take you to see the red roses?"

"Yes."

Why didn't you tell me just now?

Kadian put down the cutlery in his paws and smiled, "The master is so good to you; he's only ever taken me to see white roses."

"Perhaps it was a coincidence that Lady Yaqiong came down and it sparked her interest."

Eros felt that Kadian might misunderstand that he and the male of Ajahn had an affair. Although it was the female's duty to serve the male Dona, in reality no female would be willing to share her male with other females.
