On the four hundredth day of his imprisonment in the Jewel Palace, Dallas gained a "friend".

The blonde female sat on the windowsill, swinging her legs, holding a treat specially provided by the male in her paws, her violet eyes brimming with interest.

The male insect talked loudly in his empty room, with the only audience being the female insect, whose mind was entirely on the dessert.

Having grown tired of the male insect's performance, Evans put down the cake in his claws and asked the male insect, "Do you have a study here?"

Ina heard that Evanson often came to see the Dales Insect Emperor, so he came to see what was going on. When he followed the guard to the library, he saw two insects, one big and one small, squatting on the ground reading a book.

"Father!" Evans saw Ina standing in the doorway, immediately stood up from the ground, and ran to Ina's side.

"Evanson, what are you doing here?" Ina stroked the female insect's head and was surprised to find that the insect had reached about knee-high.

Even though Evanson is only one year old, he has already grown to be almost as tall as a three-year-old female insect cub.

Female insects typically begin to grow taller during their first differentiation around the age of twelve or thirteen. Before this growth spurt, the height of female offspring is not much different from that of male offspring.

Evanson told Ina about what he had learned about pheromone disorder syndrome: "Ina, I don't want to have this disease."

"Little bug, don't think too much. When you grow up, your female father will find you a fine, clean male bug, a male bug that belongs only to you."

Evans looked at the male insect perched by the bookshelf: "Is it a male insect like Darlest that doesn't have a second female?"

Ina nodded. "He will be the male insect most worthy of you."

After receiving permission, Evanson nodded happily: "Then I don't want a stupid male like Darles, I want one that's both beautiful and smart!"

Ina nodded in agreement, then patted Evanson's chin with her paw: "Dales and I have some things to do. Evanson, you should go to class."

After sending Evanson away, Ina looked at the male insect sitting on the ground, pretending to be engrossed in reading.

The male insect's delicate skin was quickly ravaged, leaving many small, bluish-red marks.

The female insect showed no mercy, causing the weak male insect to eventually collapse from exhaustion amidst the scattered pile of books on the ground.

After a long while, the female insect, having satisfied her hunger, wrapped the male insect completely in her outer garment and carried it back to her room.

Looking at the sleeping male insect, Ina felt that Darles was more pleasing to the eye this way. High-ranking male insects from minor noble families were easier to control than those from major noble families.

When Emperor Darles woke up, he was already lying on the large bed in his room. He was the only insect in the room, and the insect-made sun outside the window had entered its daily dormancy period.
