EROS [Zerg]

Chapter 130 Boys

Eros watched General Rand's departing figure, his heart sinking to the bottom.

If even reaching the rank of general doesn't escape the fate of being summoned and dismissed at will by male insects, then only becoming an imperial marshal or insect emperor can grant one the dignity of freedom.

Eros's post and residence on Themile were quickly arranged.

The military provided Eros with a separate single room. Upon opening the door, Eros saw a white military uniform neatly folded on the bed.

The female soldiers of the Sixth Star System wear the most fitted and comfortable uniforms, without deliberately squeezing their strong bodies into the narrow fabric, just to win the favor of the male insects.

In addition to helping the doctors communicate with Roran every day, Eros is also assigned some simple tasks. In his spare time, he also receives invitations from female military personnel to help repair mechs and warships.

Military mechanics are very difficult to book, and among the female military personnel working here are many female insects of noble birth. Eros is surprisingly popular here.

Life at the General Headquarters was unexpectedly pleasant for Eros. In just half a month, he had accumulated a considerable fortune. With his previous savings, Eros estimated that he could afford to buy a decent mech.

"Why are you able to communicate with that male insect cub?"

Hearing the voices behind him, Eros slowly put Luo Lan down on the ground. He knew that this question should have been asked by the insect long ago, but no insect had asked it yet.

Something was amiss. For the past two weeks, Eros had been trying to figure out what the doctors were thinking, and he had a morbid sensitivity to any information that might put him in danger.

Eros was also a stranger to himself. He didn't know his age, nor what kind of insect he was before he lost his memory. Why could he understand the language of the Blue Star Thieves? Why did he look so much like Lieutenant General Evanson?

Eros turned his head and saw the female insect who had asked the question. "It's you."

“Of course it’s me.” Lan stood outside the door behind Eros, and when she saw Eros see her, she walked straight over.

"You were communicating with that male insect cub in the language of the Blue Star Thief." Lan glanced at the male insect cub hiding behind Eros's legs and peering at her, then looked at Eros with a very certain expression.

"The conflict between the Empire and the Blue Star Pirates has lasted for decades, and even so, the Blue Star Pirates' language has not been deciphered to this day. Why do you use this language?"

Eros fixed his gaze on Lan's scrutinizing face, a smile playing on his lips: "I can, I will, and I don't need to explain why to you."

Lan laughed: "Don't you need to explain to me? Do you think those male insect lackeys don't have any suspicions when they hear you talking to this male insect cub every day?"

Luo Lan looked at Lan and felt that the giant monster looked very familiar. Suddenly, he remembered something and waved to Lan who was walking over: "Big Butterfly!"

Lan couldn't understand what Luo Lan was saying, but he knew the little male insect recognized him. He spread his paws and Luo Lan happily let go of Eros's trouser leg and ran towards Lan.

Lan was hugged by Luo Lan. She looked down at the little bug at her feet, a few complicated thoughts flashing through her mind. Then she bent down and picked up the bug.

"What do you want to tell me?" Eros's tone was slightly cold; he knew Lan was threatening him.

“Those doctors are all lackeys of the male insects, but they can be lackeys because they are all elites in their respective fields, so don’t think they are easy to fool.” Lan glanced at the chubby little male sitting on her arm: “When they no longer need you, that’s when you will be in a military court and prosecuted for espionage or treason.”

"You're telling me this out of kindness, to remind me?" Eros wasn't frightened at all; instead, he smiled calmly and looked at the blue-haired female insect in front of him. "I'm not a spy, why would I need such baseless speculation?"

"Are you really not clear, or are you pretending not to understand?" Lan frowned. "Those female insects are the lackeys of the male insects. Behind each of them is a male insect of noble birth who is arrogant and domineering."

"With a face like that, don't you have any sense of crisis at all?"

"Lieutenant General Evanson offended so many male insects before he died, and in the end, he died mysteriously. Now you have a face that looks so much like his, don't you feel any sense of crisis? Have you forgotten why those male insects liked you back then, and what they did to you?"

Eros listened quietly, then lowered his eyes and blinked: "I should thank you for reminding me, but I'm really not as stupid as you think."

After saying that, Eros was about to leave.

Lan continued, "Eros, General Rand's lord, Rutaan, is very interested in you. Guess what the General Rand will do if he asks you for his services?"

Eros paused in his tracks.

"How do you know about this?"

“You don’t need to know how I found out. I’m just reminding you to thank you for saving my life.” Lan put the insect cub in her arms on the ground and looked at Eros with complicated eyes: “Although I don’t know why you saved me, I don’t like owing insects. I will definitely pay you back the 100,000 star coins.”

Lan's words relieved Eros. "Thank you for reminding me."

"Don't thank me. Even if you saved me, I still hate you." After Lan's gaze lingered on Eros for a long time, she realized she really had nothing to say to him, so she quickly turned and walked out of the room as if trying to escape.

"Big Butterfly, he can turn into a really beautiful big butterfly!" Luo Lan looked at Lan's departing figure and asked in confusion, "Why did the big butterfly leave?"

"A giant butterfly?" Eros had never seen a butterfly before, but he thought the male insect cub might be referring to the form of the Lan insect.

"Rowling's mother has many beautiful butterfly specimens in her office, all brought back from Earth. They are small and very beautiful, and are creatures that only exist on Earth."

"Very beautiful?" Eros crouched down and ruffled Roland's hair. "You think the female insectoid body is beautiful?"

“They are very beautiful, and the uncles all said they are especially beautiful.” Luo Lan nodded.

"they?"

“Yes, they look just like you. Mom said that because there are too few humans, they lock them up so they can have babies for the uncles.” Luo Lan nodded innocently, then asked in confusion, “Lan didn’t want to have babies for the uncles, so she left. But why did she bring me here?”

Eros could tell that the "they" Roland was referring to were the captured female insects. Thinking of the inhuman treatment his fellow inhabitants suffered with the Blue Star Pirates, he felt uneasy and then maliciously threatened, "If he doesn't take you away, you'll stay there and have babies too."

The male insect cub, seeing Eros's deliberately scary slacking-off act, unconsciously took a step back. But when he understood what Eros said, he immediately put his hands on his hips and puffed out his two round cheeks: "Luo Lan is a boy, how could he possibly have babies?!"
