Tianyan didn't answer immediately, remaining silent for a moment before speaking: "Yes and no."

"Yes and no?" Ling Yi smiled. "Interesting."

"[01, you should rest.]" Tianyan said, and without giving Lingyi a chance to ask any more questions, he disappeared.

Seeing him run so fast, Ling Yi was in a great mood.

...

The next morning, after having breakfast in the snow village, the group set off into the snowfield.

There weren't many beasts outside the snowfield, and it was relatively peaceful. But as they went deeper, they encountered more and more beasts. However, with the little golden tiger around, the beasts didn't dare to approach at all.

And so the group traveled during the day and rested at night, and four days later, they arrived at the last supply depot.

Little Golden Tiger landed, and Bei Qianning was the first to get off and walk towards the ice house not far away.

Ling Yi and the other two stood still, waiting for the little golden tiger to shrink before following it.

Bei Qianning walked to the front of the igloo and was about to push the door open when several white figures flew out of the window and were in the snow far away from them in the blink of an eye.

Having determined that they couldn't catch up, the white figures stopped and turned to look at the group.

“It’s a snow fox,” Dongfang Jibai said. “Snow foxes are extremely fast, and ordinary people can hardly catch them. When they see that people can’t catch them, they will deliberately stop and provoke humans, which often makes people both laugh and cry.”

Bei Qianning stared at the foxes' faces for a while, then pushed open the igloo door and looked at Ling Yi: "This is the first time I've seen you, and I think you look a lot like them."

Like them, they are cunning and adorable.

“I’m nothing like them.” Hearing Bei Qianning say this, Ling Yi said slowly, “I’m much more lethal than them.”

As Bei Qianning walked into the igloo, she replied, "I wasn't talking about strength."

Ling Yi didn't reply and went into the ice house.

Bei Qianning carefully inspected the house and, after confirming there was no danger, looked at the group and said, "We'll rest here tonight."

"This is the last supply depot in the snowfield. Beyond this point, there's nothing left," Bei Qianning said. "We'll be spending the night outside from here."

Ling Yi looked up and asked, "After we get past here, how much longer until we reach our destination?"

“The crack has disappeared, but we’re not sure where it is now.” Bei Qianning took out a map, opened it, and pointed to a line for the group to see: “We came in this direction. Although we’re not sure where the crack is, we’ll be at the place where Emperor Dongyang saw the crack back then in another day’s journey.”

Dongfang Jibai looked at the colorful lines on the map with some surprise: "What are all these things? There are these on the snowfield. Are you sure we won't get lost if we follow this map?"

Bei Qianning looked up at him and said, "Second Prince, you are not from Beiming, so naturally you wouldn't know. These are routes explored by our predecessors. Each route has a special mark that indicates where each route leads in the snowfield. As long as you find the right mark, you won't get lost. Of course, if you encounter a snowstorm, that's another story."

Upon hearing this, Dongfang Jibai did not say anything more.

Bei Qianning took out some dry food and boiled some water for everyone to drink. Then she took out a large pile of things, put them into an iron box in the corner, and sealed it with her spiritual power.

The seal prevents the food inside from being ruined by the snow foxes. However, the seal is easy to break; as long as one's cultivation level is high enough, one can unlock it and retrieve the food.

After eating, Bei Qianning glanced outside. It was already dark, and the wind and snow were even heavier at night than during the day.

After closing the door, Bei Qianning walked back to the group and said, "You all go to sleep. I'll keep watch."

Dongfang Jibai wanted to offer to guard the area, but Bei Qianning cut him off before he could finish speaking: "You're not familiar with the snowfield. Even if there's wind blowing through the grass, you won't know what it is. I'll take care of it."

Since Bei Qianning had already said so, Dongfang Jibai didn't insist any further and closed his eyes, leaning against the slightly larger little golden tiger.

The cold wind howled, and the igloo was quiet. Everyone except Bei Qianning was asleep.

"Jiu Jiu?"

"Jiu Jiu, come here."

Calls came with the wind and snow, waking the baijiu from its dream.

Seeing Bai Jiu lift the blanket and get up, Bei Qianning asked, "Jiu Jiu, what's wrong?"

Baijiu seemed not to hear, offering no response and not even glancing at Bei Qianning, before getting up and walking towards the door.

"Jiu Jiu!" Upon seeing this, Bei Qianning moved and stood in front of Bai Jiu, only to find that Bai Jiu's eyes were blank and lifeless, as if he had lost his consciousness.

Bei Qianning was startled and quickly raised her hand to form a seal. A blast of icy power appeared and headed towards Bai Jiu's forehead. But just as the power was about to touch Bai Jiu, Bai Jiu raised his hand and unleashed an even more powerful force. Bei Qianning was too close and could not avoid it. A hand reached out and pulled Bei Qianning away. The force landed on the ice gate behind Bei Qianning, and the ice gate shattered instantly.

The sound startled Dongfang Jibai and Lin Xinze awake from their dreams. The cold wind and snow covered them both. Before they could figure out what was happening, they saw Baijiu walk out.

"What's going on?" Dongfang Jibai stood up immediately. "Why are you going out so late at night?"

Lin Xinze was also bewildered. He stood up, and after they stood up, the little golden tiger that was lying on the ground shrank and flew into Lin Xinze's arms.

"Jiu Jiu!" Bei Qianning saw Bai Jiu leave and wanted to chase after him, but was stopped by someone.

"Ling Yi?" Bei Qianning looked at Ling Yi in confusion.

Ling Yi looked down at her: "Weren't you looking for that crack?"

"You can find it by following him."

Upon hearing this, Bei Qianning was startled, and her expression turned serious: "You..." How did you know?

Ling Yi didn't give Bei Qianning a chance to ask: "Follow them."

Bei Qianning knew this wasn't the time to ask, so she quickly ran outside.

Dongfang Jibai ran out after him, and when Lin Xinze was carrying the little golden tiger past Ling Yi, Ling Yi stopped him.

Lin Xinze looked up at Ling Yi: "Little sister, what's wrong?"

Ling Yi lowered her eyes to look at the little golden tiger in Lin Xinze's arms: "Keep an eye on him."

The originally lazy little golden tiger perked up upon hearing this, looked up at Ling Yi, and nodded repeatedly: "Definitely!"

Ling Yi withdrew her gaze: "Let's go."

Lin Xinze then jogged out.

Ling Yi walked at the back, following at a leisurely pace.

The speed of the liquor was not fast, and the group could keep up without any additional strength.

After traveling for a while, the liquor changed direction.

Seeing this, Bei Qianning followed even closer.

The four people and one child followed each other at a certain distance. After walking for a while, the baijiu stopped. Under the cover of night, the cold wind howled, and the snow fell on their faces, making them shiver.

Dongfang Jibai walked to Bei Qianning's side: "Why did he stop?"

Bei Qianning shook her head; she didn't know either.

According to Ling Yi, could the crack be located here?
