Seeing that she seemed a little dazed, Xu Yang continued to comfort her:

"It's okay, don't force yourself. If you can't let go in a year, then take two years; if you can't let go in two years, then take three years. There's no rush, but you must set a timeframe for yourself, set a bottom line for yourself, and consciously stop when necessary."

"Don't let yourself fall into the abyss again."

"Only you can truly save yourself."

"If you really can't take it anymore, you can ask the people around you for help."

"Don't be brave."

Shen Yao nodded slowly.

The chaotic memories were gradually sorted out after a heartfelt outpouring.

I took another sip of warm water.

Shen Yao's hesitant eyes brightened with determination.

"Perhaps relying on others can help me get out of the shadow of pain quickly. But I want to rely on myself. I want to heal myself."

Upon hearing this, Xu Yang looked at her with admiration.

"I believe in you, and I'm sure you can overcome your inner fears."

As Shen Yao stepped out of the counseling room, she saw Lu Jiajia leaning against the car, holding flowers in her hands and smiling at her.

"Congratulations to our Yao Yao for once again overcoming her inner demons and finding herself."

Shen Yao looked at Lu Jiajia and felt that the streetlights were not as warm as the smile on Lu Jiajia's face.

On the drive home, Lu Jiajia chattered on and on, constantly complaining about her brother, Lu Ning.

"My brother went drinking with those playboys again while my sister-in-law was pregnant."

"My sister-in-law woke up in the middle of the night and found that my brother was not there, so she immediately called to ask where he was."

“My brother was afraid that my sister-in-law would be angry, so he lied and said that he was out buying her a late-night snack. My sister-in-law knew my brother’s true colors all too well, and immediately said that she wanted to drink Chaoshan seafood porridge and that she had to eat it within half an hour.”

"Isn't that amazing? My brother and my parents couldn't handle it, but my sister-in-law could. Half an hour later, my brother actually delivered the seafood porridge to my sister-in-law."

Listening to Lu Jiajia's stories about her family, Shen Yao felt very envious.

Having grown up without any siblings, she was truly very lonely.

Although she had many brothers and sisters of the same age in the orphanage, the children in the orphanage were not as easy to get along with as they seemed on the surface.

Many children are not as docile and cute as they seem in order to gain more attention from their teachers.

They even resorted to underhanded methods to attract the teacher's attention.

Therefore, Shen Yao did not feel that the children in the orphanage were her brothers and sisters.

Later, she was adopted by the Gu family. Although Grandpa Gu said that Gu Tianyou would be her brother from now on.

However, Gu Tianyou never gave her the care she deserved.

So, in a sense, she was very lonely.

As Lu Jiajia continued talking, she noticed that Shen Yao was very quiet.

Turning my head, I saw her sitting there blankly, seemingly lost in thought.

"Yaoyao, are you feeling unwell?"

Startled by Lu Jiajia's call, Shen Yao snapped out of her daze.

She smiled and said, "I'm not uncomfortable at all. I just envy you for having an older brother and for having siblings."

Lu Jiajia knew Shen Yao's sore spot. She gripped the steering wheel with her left hand and gently patted Shen Yao's hand. "Don't be afraid. You still have me, your good sister. You can tell me anything."

Shen Yao looked at the smiling Shen Yao and nodded heavily.

Back home, Shen Yao took a hot shower and slept well that night, which was a rare treat.
