Gu Tianyou gripped the shirt Shen Yao handed him tightly, his face grim, and remained silent.

Seeing his expression, Shen Yao said calmly, "I've given you the clothes, let's go."

Gu Tianyou peeked into the house. "Is anyone there?"

Shen Yao sneered, "President Gu, don't you think you're being a bit nosy? Even if I take in a little puppy tonight and sleep in the same room with him, it's none of your business, is it?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie quickly interjected, "Miss Shen, you're joking. I know you're very busy every day, living a monotonous life, squeezing in time for meals and sleep. How could you possibly have time to meet other men?"

Shen Yao raised an eyebrow and looked at Chen Jie, "Only a working-class person like you would know how busy I am every day. It's getting late, take your CEO Gu home."

“Our CEO Gu is actually very busy every day, but he still made time to come over tonight…” Chen Jie’s words were cut short by a sharp pain in his foot.

Chen Jie's face turned bright red, but he didn't dare to utter a sound.

Gu Tianyou stopped walking and said calmly, "Hurry up and go, we still need to deliver medicine to Yingying later."

"Yes, Mr. Gu." Chen Jie followed Gu Tianyou eagerly.

Seeing the two men walk away, Shen Yao finally breathed a sigh of relief.

She can finally breathe a sigh of relief tonight.

Just as she was thinking this, the elevator doors opened.

A tall, wet figure rushed towards her.

Shen Yao's pupils contracted slightly, and she subconsciously went to close the door.

The figure moved a few seconds faster than she closed the door.

A large, wet hand braced against the door. "Sister, you're alright, that's great!"

After saying that, the boy collapsed to the ground.

Using the light from the corridor, Shen Yao finally saw who it was.

Five minutes later, she finally dragged Chu Yao, who was soaking wet and running a high fever, onto the sofa.

It started raining heavily outside again, so going to the hospital wasn't practical.

She stood in the living room, hands on her hips, silently observing the tall boy on the sofa.

His once flowing and handsome long hair was now wet and clung tightly to his angular features.

Her originally sexy wheat-colored skin was now frighteningly pale due to the rain and high fever.

His thick eyebrows, slanted upwards towards his temples, were furrowed, as if he were dreaming of something.

"Really, one by one... I really do have a destiny to save lives."

Shen Yao chuckled to herself, then skillfully opened the medicine box and took out medical scissors, disinfectant, and bandages.

When she cut the boy's bandages, she saw that the stitched wound had opened up and was swollen from being soaked in rainwater.

She gave the boy a reproachful look, "I told you not to run away, why are you so disobedient! It's because of disobedient patients like you that the hospital is so overcrowded..."

The wound was disinfected and stitched up again, and the bandage and waterproof dressing were reapplied.

They then rummaged through the bag and found a clean men's shirt and trousers, which they gave to the boy to change into...

It had been almost an hour and a half since I finished.

Chu Yao wearily tidied up the trash in the living room, picked up her toiletries, and went into the bathroom to take a shower. She was so tired that she almost fell asleep standing up.

When she walked out of the bathroom in her pajamas, holding a dry towel in one hand and drying her hair, she found that the boy who was supposed to be lying on the living room sofa was gone.

Shen Yao was so startled that she was wide awake.

"Chu Yao, where are you?"
