A gentle breeze brushed against their cheeks, and people gathered around.

The wind carries the seeds of a story, and the bard plays the melody that begins the tale.

The familiar melody of "Reminiscence," carried on the wind by the dancing fingers of the bard, reached people's ears.

The story I'm about to tell begins in ancient times, when the gods still roamed the earth.

A dragon descended from the sky, filled with curiosity about everything in the world. The dragon sought its own answers, yet could not comprehend the chaos of the mortal realm.

The wind singer plays its harp, and the harp of the sky answers it. The dragon is but a curious child... simply flying carefree, until this day. It listens to poetry, wanting to learn to sing. So that all things may understand its heart.

The singer and the dragon became legends... and a dark age followed. The lion's fangs decayed, the eagle's banner fell silent... and another evil dragon drew near to Mondstadt.

Suffering is the shadow that hangs over the cathedral, and lamentations are re-woven into poetry by poets. The dragon of the sky heeds the call and comes to fight and battle the evil dragon in the storm.

The Sky Dragon swallowed the venomous blood of the evil dragon and fell into a deep sleep... but years later, no one recognized its resurrection.

Why do people nowadays despise me?

The Sky Harp remained silent. Anger and sorrow, life and poisonous blood mingled into tears that streamed from the dragon's eyes. Poetry fell silent, corruption took effect easily... but the Sky Harp could no longer speak.

After the bard finished singing the story, the crowd dispersed. Ying and Paimon stepped forward.

You all probably know who that green-clad bard is. Seeing Ying and Paimon approach, he said, "Ah, you are...you're the ones who scared Dvalin away back then, aren't you?"

Paimon tilted his head, puzzled. "Dvalin? Who's that?"

Huiyuan chopped Paimon on the forehead with a chop: "That's the original name of Wind Demon Dragon, you idiot."

"Ouch! Huiyuan, why did you suddenly hit me? Oh, right! I remember now, but don't most people call it Wind Demon Dragon? Why do you call it that... Are you two very close?"

Wendy chuckled and said, "Guess~"

Huiyuan said in a voice that Ying and Paimon couldn't hear, "I guess it's Lord Bartospa, the wind god."

Although his voice was very soft, he was none other than Barbatos, the god of wind. He could hear sounds from thousands of meters away, let alone Huiyuan, who had only lowered his voice.

While Ying and Paimon were discussing how strange Wendy was, Wendy stared wide-eyed at Huiyuan in shock, then quickly regained her composure and resumed her "hehehehe" expression.

Yingmei asked Wendy, "May I ask who you are?"

"Hello, stranger from afar. I am the bard, Wendy. To be precise, I am the three-time winner of Mondstadt's most beloved bard title. What can I do for you?"

It must be the consecutive champion of slacking off and not doing anything serious for a thousand years.

Paimon replied matter-of-factly, "It's about Stormterror, of course."

Wendy suddenly pretended to have amnesia.

Paimon got angry.

"Hey! You don't have to suddenly pretend to have amnesia like that!"

According to the setting, Luminous can absorb the power of the abyss, so the crystal must have been purified.

"Traveler, take that crystal out and show it to him."

Huiyuan said to Ying.

At this moment, Wendy suddenly regained her memories and looked at the crystal.

"Ah, this is..."

"The crystals have been purified."

Seeing that the wandering poet found it strange, Ying explained.

"I don't know how it turned out like this."

Wendy looked at the crystal with a worried expression.

"These are the tears of Dvalin... the Stormterror, shed in pain. It was once a gentle child, but now it is so sorrowful and filled with rage. I also have a teardrop crystal here; can you purify it?"

After receiving Dvalin's tears, Ying instantly refined them—oh wait, I digress. After receiving the crystal, the crystal gradually changed from red to cyan.

(Let's not steal Ying's thunder here.)

Huiyuan silently put away the negative status purifier and quietly watched the crystallization.

Wendy looked at the purified crystal and exclaimed in amazement.

“You truly possess incredible power. A person like you is destined to be sung in the poems of bards. Standing in the sun, you will surely become a hero; standing in the shade, you will also bring disaster.”

Then he became sad again.

"Ah...but I don't have time to compose a new piece for you now. Even if Dvalin isn't defeated, his life force will rapidly diminish; he'll burn himself out in his rage..."

Seeing Wendy playing the victim, Huiyuan put on a "hopeless" expression and looked at Wendy.

"I advise you to turn yourself in with Long; that way, you might get a reduced sentence."

Wendy leaned back tactically, feigning innocence.

"Wow, don't be so heartless. There's no need to turn yourself in yet; I have other plans."

"What is your reason for this?"

Paimon chuckled at Huiyuan's way of speaking, thinking to himself: (How come someone's tongue is tied when they talk?)

Everyone thought Huiyuan was stuttering, but Wendy suppressed her laughter and began to explain the plan.

"Seeing the dragon's tears reminded me of an old friend."

Huiyuan looked at Wendy in shock, thinking he knew the reference, and tentatively asked him.

"What old friend?"

But Wendy left as soon as she finished speaking.

"Hehe, then I'll take my leave now."

Paimon got angry.

"Hey, where are you going?"

"Goodbye, symbol of Mondstadt heroes."

(Where did the wind rise? Oh, it's alright then, it was that big tree.)

Huiyuan instantly knew what Wendy was referring to, but unfortunately, Wendy wasn't referring to that old friend.

Watching Wendy leave on her own, Paimon started badmouthing her to Sparkle.

"What a strange fellow. Traveler, what do you think?"

"He's a strange person; we need to observe him."

"You are also a strange person to him."

Ignoring Paimon's words, Ying continued, "And... the voice... it sounds somewhat familiar..."

Paimon made a thoughtful gesture.

"Hmm, does his voice sound familiar? But I don't recognize it at all... However, he just mentioned the symbol of Mondstadt heroes?"

Seeing that Paimon couldn't recall the symbol of a Mondstadt hero, Huiyuan offered a hint.

"It's that big tree in the place where the wind rises, the one we've been to before. You guys go ahead, I'll be there shortly."

Paimon nodded, then turned to Ying and said, "Well, Traveler, let's set off."
