Me at two years old, a queen!

Chapter 36 The kindergarten has been purchased.

Lu Junxing felt a burning sensation on her arm and realized that the child was sobbing softly, no longer displaying the smug grin she had just made. Now, tears welled up in her timid eyes.

He paused, realizing he had frightened the child. Ignoring the surprised looks from others, he picked her up and carried her upstairs, stiffly trying to soothe her: "Don't cry...don't be afraid."

After her face was wiped clean and she was tidied up, An'an was placed on the desk in the study, where she hesitantly played with her toes by fiddling with her little hands.

The little girl sobbed as she cautiously glanced at the man's face, biting her finger as she asked, "Daddy~, I was wrong!"

"Tell me, where did you go wrong?" Lu Junxing relaxed in the chair at the table, wanting to see what she could say.

"They were all wrong, even in their spicy dishes~"

An An thought about how her friend Sophia's dad used to say the same thing, and then she affectionately reached out to hug the sitting man.

"Sit properly!" The man sternly pushed her back, making her sit on the table. "No hugging! Tell me the truth."

The little girl thought disappointedly, "Why didn't it work?" Afraid of being beaten again, she honestly thought, "I secretly ate the chocolate; Grandpa bought it."

Is this it? An'an glanced at the man's eyes, thinking, "Grandpa wanted to buy this for me, so you can't hit me!"

"Continue!" Lu Junxing wasn't surprised at all, thinking about the snacks and cookies he'd scavenged all over the room these past few days; they'd been hoarding like a hamster, a little here and a little there.

"I broke a bottle today~, but Grandpa said it's okay!" The little girl thought to herself, "Grandpa isn't angry with me, so you can't hit me."

"continue!"

"I took your sparkly things, just a tiny bit~, and you still have so many. Grandma said they'll all be mine after you die."

Knowing her daughter loved sparkly things, Lu's mother generously provided her with a small bucket of diamonds and gemstones for her to play with. It had been a long time since Lu had stolen any sparkly items from a man (jeweled cufflinks, brooches, etc.).

"Okay! Continue!" The man remembered her pink safe; this was the third one already. It was easy to imagine how many of his accessories she had stolen.

"I watched the iPad for a very long time? Grandma said it's okay to watch it~"

"..."

Seeing that the men weren't hitting her, the little girl gradually and unintentionally revealed all the mischief she'd caused over the past few days.

The man found it somewhat amusing to see the young girl's smug expression, as if she had someone to back her up. He hoped more people would pamper her, and he wanted her to know that they were her strongest support and wouldn't mind these petty squabbles. However, he still needed to be involved in important matters.

"An'an, your grandparents and Aunt Liu all love you very much, but you can't take advantage of their affection to act recklessly. You must have your own bottom line to uphold."

"You're very smart. You know what you should and shouldn't do. Eating too much candy will make your teeth hurt, not eating vegetables will make your stomach bloated, and eating too much ice cream will make your stomach ache!"

"None of these things are good for you!"

Lu Junxing didn't care if the girl was spoiled; at least she was happy that way, and he would always be there to protect her if anything happened.

At dinner, perhaps because Lu Junxing was there, the little girl was incredibly well-behaved, even eating carrots she didn't like. Lu's parents, who had been chasing after An'an to feed her for days, felt somewhat embarrassed and didn't dare look at their son.

They simply praised the little girl for eating so diligently, and occasionally put some of her favorite meat on her plate.

The old man was overjoyed these past few days. In the past, his son and daughter-in-law were so busy with work that they often didn't even get to eat a meal together during the New Year. It was usually just him and his son, Lu Junxing, who ate together. Later, when the child grew up and went to school, he lived alone like that for several years.

An'an has been a bit more lively these past few days, but the house feels like a home again. Watching the son and daughter-in-law taking care of the child so harmoniously, it seems the couple's relationship isn't as distant as it used to be.

Even the usually indifferent and dull grandson seemed to come alive again. He happily smacked his lips in his drink, and even after he left, he felt relieved.

"Don't stop her, she definitely has to go to kindergarten tomorrow!"

"What kindergarten? The child is only a few years old, how can you, as the father, bear to send him to school?"

Mr. Gu was busy building an amusement park for his granddaughter as a birthday gift. He was out all day and had no idea that the family had already "discussed" the matter.

Lu Junxing lowered his eyes, thinking about the mischievous things An'an had done that afternoon. Half of it was thanks to Lu's father's pampering. He hadn't expected that the usually pragmatic Lu Jing had this side to him.

Thinking back on their limited communication in the past, mostly just a phone call once a month, she sternly warned him: "Remember your place. You are the heir to the Lu family. You know what you should and shouldn't do! Don't waste your time on pointless things."

"Don't be arrogant. The resources you have now are all hard-earned by us. If you still can't get first place after all this, how can you face anyone?"

Later, when he started his own company, he had numerous disagreements with Mr. Lu regarding business matters. Eventually, the old man intervened and persuaded Mr. Lu to step down, handing over the management of the Lu family business to him.

Under Lu Junxing's leadership, the Lu family has continuously expanded its business empire and prospered, with its market value increasing a thousandfold, making it an industry giant.

"What can such a tiny child do? He's not even as tall as a table!"

"You can't even get food? You just watch your daughter go hungry every day!"

"He can't even speak properly, and he's not as clever as you. He probably won't even know how to complain. If he goes there, he'll be bullied to death!"

The old man and Ms. Song Yuan couldn't hide their worry as they listened. Looking at Lu Jing, who had changed from his usual cold demeanor to one of indignation, Ms. Song Yuan realized for the first time that what he said made sense.

He carefully considered his words before speaking: "How about we hire a tutor at home? It'll be just as good. We can keep an eye on things at home, so they won't be bullied!"

"Hmm, I think it's a good idea! Home is much better than kindergarten where more than a dozen children are crammed together. With so many people together, how can the teachers possibly take care of our kids!"

Lu Jing's understanding of schools was still based on Lu Junxing's school days. He had never invested in the education sector. The Lu family had worked their way up through hardship, and their family tradition had always been thrift and frugality. Lu Junxing had also attended public schools since childhood.

"I think it's good. I'll go ask Old Master Qi if he has any good teachers to recommend. His family is a scholarly family and knows more than we do!"

The old man also thought it was a good idea; not only could the child go to school every day, but he could also keep an eye on him at home.

"She's home all day, are all those flowers enough for her to pick?"

"Is your collection enough for her to smash?"

"She's happy eating candy and snacks at home every day without having to eat meals! Putting all that aside, she'll still need to socialize with her peers in the future. Can you handle that?"

Looking at the silent group, Lu Junxing glanced at the little girl watching TV and said directly, "I've already bought the kindergarten tickets. We'll go tomorrow!"
