Night Fire Lingering

Uncle Luo opened his mouth, but hesitated, his face full of resentment. He clearly looked down on Zhou Qi, who was just a bully, but dared not confront him. Zhou Qi was Gu Yanci's most trusted confidant, and his reputation for status, shrewdness, and skill was well-deserved.

Several people were sitting in the living room. Wen Yan recognized Madam Luo, and the others were also close relatives of the Luo family. When they saw Wen Yan barging in with her entourage, they all cried out in surprise.

"Wen Yan, stop right there! Stop right there!" Wen Yan ignored Madam Luo's words.

Several members of the Luo family stood up to block Wen Yan's path, but they were all blocked by the bodyguards.

Wen Yan quickly pushed open the doors of each suite, and finally found the door locked in the room at the far end of the third floor.

Zhou Qi stood behind Wen Yan. Seeing this, he told Wen Yan to move aside a bit. He took two steps back, took a short running start, and kicked the door open with his long legs!

Luo Beiqing lay half-reclined on the bed, her face pale. A bowl of cold porridge sat on the bedside table, making her look as fragile as a piece of paper.

Luo Beiqing wasn't surprised to see Wen Yan; he smiled brightly.

How are you feeling? Is the baby alright?

"Well, it's okay."

But judging from Luo Beiqing's expression, she didn't look like she was alright at all.

"I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up first." Wen Yan felt that she wouldn't feel at ease if she didn't go to the hospital given the current situation.

Zhou Qi immediately contacted the private hospital under the Gu family and asked them to send an ambulance and the best obstetrician.

"Wen Yan, you led people to trespass into our Luo family. I will not let this go! Gu Yanci spoils you and indulges you. I do not believe that the elders of the Gu family will let you do whatever you want!" The Luo family members followed up, accusing and condemning you with righteous indignation.

“You’ve got it wrong,” Wen Yan chuckled. “The one who won’t let this go is me.”

Her face was all smiles, her expression calm, yet it sent chills down one's spine.

The Luo family members fell into an eerie silence for a moment, then looked at each other in bewilderment.

"Imprisoning Bei Qing and abusing a pregnant woman, what is your Luo family trying to do?" Wen Yan said as she helped Luo Bei Qing up from the bed.

Seeing that Luo Beiqing was really about to leave, Madam Luo tried to resist the bodyguards with brute force. She didn't believe that these servants would dare to lay a hand on her!

"Dislocate the arm," Wen Yan said calmly to the bodyguard.

Luo Beiqing looked at her slightly protruding pregnant belly and chuckled softly.
