After a long while, Gu Chile seemed to come out of her reverie and slowly said, "Brother Yan, you said it would have been better if I had kept quiet. Now I really regret saying these things."

Looking at Gu Chile, who was filled with frustration, Zhou Yan couldn't help but sigh deeply and said to him earnestly, "It's much better to see things clearly sooner rather than to live in your own fantasy. Why torture yourself like this?"

Gu Chi's voice was slightly choked as he continued, "But I feel so bad. It's like a huge rock is pressing on my chest, making it hard for me to breathe."

Seeing this, Zhou Yan quickly reached out and gently patted Gu Chile's shoulder, comforting her, "Don't be too sad. It's just a breakup. You'll get over it with time. It's not a big deal."

Zhou Yan said this to Gu Chile, and also to himself.

Time heals all wounds.

Hearing Zhou Yan's words of comfort, Gu Chile didn't feel much comforted. Instead, she said with a bit of a wry smile, "Is this what you call comforting someone? I feel like you're even worse at comforting people than I am."

Seeing this, Zhou Yan's lips curled up slightly, revealing a faint smile, and he teased, "Then tell me, how should I comfort you? Or, why don't you comfort me too? I've also broken up with my boyfriend."

Upon hearing this, Gu Chile looked at Zhou Yan in astonishment and asked incredulously, "When did you start dating? How come I didn't know? And you actually experienced heartbreak? That doesn't make sense."

Zhou Yan rolled her eyes at him, annoyed, and retorted, "What? Are you looking down on your brother?"

Gu Chile quickly waved his hand and explained, "No, no, I absolutely didn't mean that. I was just curious which family's girl was so capable that she could win you over."

Zhou Yan was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "She doesn't want me anymore."

After saying that, he turned and went into the bathroom.

Gu Chile froze on the spot, Zhou Yan's words echoing in her mind.

Is this still the same young master Zhou that he knows?

Who would have thought that Zhou Yan, who was always so carefree and a womanizer, could have such a deeply affectionate side?

Gu Chile couldn't help but feel a strong curiosity about the girl who could make Zhou Yan's heart flutter.

Normally, given Gu Chile's personality, he would definitely pursue this matter relentlessly until he got to the bottom of it.

However, at this moment, his own love life was already in complete chaos, and he simply didn't have the extra energy to care about other people's love entanglements.

"Brother Yan, I'm going back now. Please don't drink anymore; it's bad for your health."

Gu Chile called out towards the bathroom, and Zhou Yan responded from inside, but didn't say anything more.

Gu Chile turned and walked out of Zhou Yan's residential area, and unexpectedly saw Han Zhou's car parked on the side of the road.

He stopped in his tracks, a sense of surprise welling up inside him.

He originally thought Han Zhou had left long ago, but he didn't expect him to still be here.

What is Han Zhou doing here?

Gu Chile pondered to himself.

Surely they couldn't be waiting for me, could they?

After all, he had explicitly rejected him before.

Thinking about this made Gu Chile feel very sad.

He hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to avoid Han Zhou and turned to walk towards the bus stop.

However, he had only taken two steps when he suddenly heard several clear horn sounds behind him.

Gu Chile seemed not to hear at all and continued walking forward on her own.

The horn blared again, this time with a noticeably louder volume than before.

However, Gu Chile still did not stop.

"Xiao Chi, Gu Chi Le!"

It wasn't until Han Zhou called out his name that Gu Chile finally realized he could no longer pretend.

He paused, slowly turned around, and his gaze met that of Han Zhou, who was getting out of the car.

Han Zhou strode towards him.

Soon, Han Zhou stood in front of Gu Chi Le. He narrowed his eyes slightly, looked down at Gu Chi Le, and questioned, "Didn't you see my car?"

Seeing this, Gu Chile quickly nodded in agreement, saying, "Ah, I'm sorry, I probably didn't notice just now."

Upon hearing this, Han Zhou smiled slightly and said, "I'll take you home."

As he spoke, he naturally reached out his hand, as if he wanted to take Gu Chile's hand.

However, just as Han Zhou's hand was about to touch Gu Chile, Gu Chile quickly withdrew her hand as if she had been electrocuted, and then turned around and walked towards Han Zhou's car as if nothing had happened.

Han Zhou's hand hung awkwardly in mid-air. He was clearly stunned for a moment before he came to his senses, slowly withdrew his hand, turned around, and got into the car.

Throughout the journey, the carriage was unusually quiet. Gu Chile sat silently in the passenger seat the entire time, without saying a word.

While driving, Han Zhou would occasionally glance at Gu Chile, who was sitting in the passenger seat, out of the corner of his eye.

Suddenly, he noticed that Gu Chile was tearing off the figurines that had been pasted on the front of the passenger seat.

Han Zhou was puzzled and asked, "Why did you tear them all up? I remember you used to really like these figurines."

Gu Chile lowered her head and answered softly, "It's not appropriate."

Han Zhou disagreed, and said with a smile, "You know these childish things don't really match my car."

Gu Chile simply hummed in agreement.

Han Zhou continued, "So, please don't put these things on my car anymore. If you really want to, put on some cool figurines that match the style of my car, like mecha or something. That would be so cool."

Gu Chile was silent for a moment, then said, "It won't happen again."

After saying that, Gu Chile silently continued to tear apart the figurines, peeling each of the chubby little figurines off the passenger seat one by one, and carefully cleaning off all the remaining glue.

It wasn't until Han Zhou parked the car steadily that Gu Chi Le finally finished processing all the figurines.

He carefully and neatly placed the torn-off figurines one by one into his bag.

After completing this series of actions, he raised his head, a polite and gentle smile on his face, and said softly to Han Zhou, "Brother Zhou, thank you for bringing me back. Drive carefully on your way back."

After saying that, he reached out to pull the car door open, preparing to get out.

However, the car door could not be opened; it was clearly locked from the inside.

Gu Chile turned her head with suspicion, her gaze falling on Han Zhou, and asked in confusion, "What's wrong? Is there something else?"
