The car stopped at the first traffic light after Xu Su had finished dressing, and she, who had been sitting quietly, opened the car door and ran out.

Amidst the dense traffic and the autumn rain that had begun to fall again, she heard the man's shouts behind her but did not turn around. She dragged her weak legs forward and ran.

Zhou Mochen was so anxious that he abandoned the car and rushed after her. He hoisted Xu Su onto his shoulder, shoved her back into the passenger seat, and stood in the rain, soaked to the bone. He held her face in his hands and roared, "Are you out of your mind?!"

Xu Su didn't speak, nor did she want to look at him anymore. She struggled to escape; she felt she would go crazy if she stayed in that car for even a second longer.

Zhou Mochen had no choice but to hold the person in his arms and get in himself. He locked the car doors tightly, then moved from the passenger seat back to the driver's seat and started driving.

He was soaked to the bone and didn't have time to dry himself off. As he drove, he said, "What are you angry about? We can talk about it when we get back. It's raining outside and there are a lot of cars. What if someone careless hits you?"

Xu Su tried to open the car door twice, but after finding that it wouldn't open, silence returned.

Zhou Mochen opened the passenger door, intending to help her out, but was met with a slap in the face.

His face was slapped and turned slightly to the left. The two servants who were holding the umbrella for him lowered their heads and dared not look. Zhou Mochen twitched the corner of his lips, picked up Xu Su without saying a word, and went into the main building.

"Go take a shower and change your wet clothes." Zhou Mochen came out of the bathroom after running hot water. Seeing Xu Su still wet and motionless, he walked over and squatted down in front of him: "Either you go and wash yourself, or I'll help you wash. Choose one."

Xu Su's fingertips twitched slightly, and his hand rose in an instant. Zhou Mochen raised his arm slightly, then stopped, and slapped him across the face again.

His attitude was like that of a child throwing a tantrum.

He let her hit him, let her scold him, and let her say hurtful things.

Xu Su would probably have been angry by now, but she didn't care at all. She didn't intend to hurt herself, so she walked to the bathroom, took a hot bath, changed into some dry and warm clothes, and dried her hair before coming out.

Zhou Mochen was still wearing the same soaking wet clothes that clung to her body, maintaining the same posture she had when she entered, changing from squatting to sitting on the sofa.

Compared to when they were in the car, their states seemed to have reversed.

Seeing her come out, Zhou Mochen put down his phone and looked up: "Are you in the same department?"

The three slaps on his pampered face were still quite noticeable, but Xu Su had no interest in looking at her handiwork, nor did she intend to explain anything to him. She simply walked out the door.
