The socially awkward villain's furry superpower

Chapter 145 The Depression After the Sugar Frenzy

They returned home before the sisters finally started to wilt.

Sienna breathed a sigh of relief; the energy her sisters were displaying was a bit too much, and even though it was understandable that they might be more energetic than usual, it still made her feel a little overwhelmed.

As soon as they got home, Sienna immediately had her sisters take turns showering in the bathroom, while she prepared changes of clothes for them.

The sisters didn't complain much about it, but Sienna secretly cursed the drawer for being too small.

As for clothes, Sienna doesn't have many of her own, but her favorite jeans and loose hoodies take up a lot of space and are often crammed together with her sisters' clothes.

Soon, very soon, they would have to find a new place to live. After all, it wasn't very healthy for everyone to be crammed into one room.

When everyone had finished showering and yawns filled the air, Sienna sat cross-legged on a chair, letting Maple sit on her lap, allowing her to freely manipulate the beaver girl's still-wet hair.

“So,” Sienna said, “has anyone improved any skills this time?”

After the chaos of the day, her "Queen" questline made progress, rewarding her with a new skill slot.

She also completed several other small tasks, earning a total of three skill upgrade points.

Considering the risks they had taken, it didn't feel like a very generous reward, but she wasn't going to complain. She needed to check her current tasks and pick out some new ones, but for the moment she was feeling a bit lazy about it.

The sisters answered in unison that they had improved. "Does anyone want to upgrade their skills before going to sleep?" Sienna asked.

"Who wants to go first?" Teddy asked.

“I remember Athena came first last time, right?” Sienna asked. She was only half sure. “So, shouldn’t Trinity go first this time?”

"Great!" Trinity cheered, but the three of them stopped halfway through their cheers and yawned.

Sienna didn't say anything, but she thought it looked rather cute. "So, want to see what new abilities you can gain? Then it'll be Maple's turn, followed by Teddy, and then Athena, right?"

She received a lot of nods in response, and no one objected.

When her sisters were tired, she found them much more adorable.

“Oh, wow,” Trinity said, “I’ve gained two new skills and lots of skill points.”

"Two?" Teddy said. "I only got one."

“She’s been kidnapped,” Athena said. “Maybe that will help?”

Teddy snorted. "Please, if I wanted to be kidnapped, that would be easy."

"Girls, please don't let yourselves get kidnapped on purpose just to earn some extra credit," Sienna said. Perhaps she didn't actually prefer her sisters looking exhausted.

“I’ve acquired my first skill,” Trinity said. “Would you like to see both skills at the same time, or one at a time?”

“Yes, we can look at them one by one,” Sienna said.

Trinity nodded, then grinned. "This skill will make me much better at things like reconnaissance. Look!" She demonstrated her new skill, summoning a screen large enough for everyone to see clearly.

“Hmm,” Sienna said, “this skill seems quite useful. Enhancing perception is great.” She had already used her own perception-enhancing skill before, and this one seemed even better, only a little less flexible.

"Yeah, I can make one-third of myself three times stronger, which means... uh, that's an increase of 166 percent?"

Sienna wasn't sure if the algorithm was correct, but she didn't want to get a calculator unless absolutely necessary. "Great," she said.

Trinity smiled broadly, her face beaming with pride. "Yes, there's another skill. It's a bit like Athena's skill."

Athena turned her head sharply, squinting at Trinity. "Let me see," she demanded.

[Deceive the heavens and cross the sea]

【Eternal Raccoon Hurricane】

[Level: Level 1]

The user can convince anyone who notices them that they are not trying to hide, scout, or infiltrate an area. However, this skill cannot help the user convince others that they are there by default.

[Activation Method: Verbal]

[Cooldown time: 30 minutes]

Sienna read the skill description, then reread it to confirm. This… is a rather strange skill. “This skill, hmm, is quite interesting.”

“Right?” Trinity asked. She raised her arms in a cheer, then flopped back onto the bed. “Alright, now it’s Maple’s turn.”

Maple Leaf bounced on Sienna's leg. "My turn? Oh, well, I only got one skill."

“It’s okay,” Sienna said.

Maple nodded, then frowned and thought for a moment. "Okay, I'll show you," she finally said, shyly demonstrating to Sienna how she had acquired the skill.

[Approximate Knowledge]

[Wooden sticks and stones]

Users can acquire general and provisional knowledge about any topic related to the item being crafted.

“I, ah, I also have two upgrade points,” Maple Leaf said, “but I can’t use them yet.”

“It’s alright,” Sienna said. This was the first time she’d seen one of her sisters possess a skill already at its maximum level. This… probably didn’t mean anything special. If she had time to go to the library, she’d look it up online. The skill itself seemed quite useful, it was just that the word “roughly” was a bit vague.

Sienna wasn't exactly an expert, but she felt that general knowledge and meticulous engineering didn't quite go together.

"Is it my turn now?" Teddy asked. "But I think I've already used up all my upgrade points."

“Hmm, I think so,” Sienna said.

Teddy grinned. "Great! Look at the skill I gained!"

Stronger and more powerful

[In transformed state, users can freely control their weight, mass, and muscle shape.]

[Activation Method: Thought]

Cooldown time: 1 hour

“This skill sounds incredibly powerful,” Sienna said.

“I’m going to become super strong!” Teddy said. She tried to show off her biceps, but wearing loose bear-patterned pajamas, it wasn’t very noticeable.

“Then I’m the last one,” Athena said. “My new skill isn’t anything too amazing.”

【glare】

【Owl's Eye】

[Level 1]

[The user can make someone who is lying to them feel uncomfortable. The more the other person hides the truth, the stronger the discomfort. However, this skill cannot help the user directly find out the truth.]

[Activation Method: Visual]

No cooldown time

“I don’t think so,” Sienna said. “This skill sounds pretty powerful.”

Athena smiled slightly. "It's alright."

While this skill doesn't allow Athena to know when someone is lying, it gives her a way to put pressure on others in tense situations, which is precisely where Athena excels.

Sienna clapped her hands. "Alright, everyone's finished watching, right? Time to go to sleep?"

“Hey!” Teddy said, “I’m not the kind of person who doesn’t want to sleep, but what about you, hmm?”

“Ah,” Sienna said. She had one more skill to unlock, but for now it was like a buffer between her and her sisters. “I can wait until tomorrow,” she said.

Athena frowned at her, and Sienna immediately felt a sharp pain in her stomach, as if she were walking onto a stage with a thousand eyes staring at her.

“Athena,” she warned.

"Oh dear," said Athena.

"Well... alright, let's see what skill I got," she said. After all, it's fair. Besides, spending more time familiarizing herself with the new skill might help her figure out how to use it.

With just a thought, the corresponding prompt appears.

Would you be willing to spend one skill point to unlock the skill: Sister Summoning?

“Yes,” Sienna whispered.

New skill unlocked!

"Focus Center" has been added to your skill list!

She disliked the skill name completely, not at all. A thought flashed through her mind, and she opened her status interface, noticing that the new skill had been added to the bottom of the screen.

She clicked on the last skill in the list, and a new window popped up for her to view.

[Focus]

Users can temporarily become the center of attention by issuing stern warnings or engaging in lengthy discourses.

Activation method: Voice command

Cooldown time: 1 hour

"What skill did you acquire?" Teddy asked. "Is it impressive?"

"Are we going to have a new sister?" Athena asked.

Sienna rubbed her face. Her ability was clearly working against her. This skill was almost entirely the opposite of what she wanted.

And this skill description... is it a warning or a long-winded explanation? This is just typical villainous behavior.

"Here, take a look," she said with a frustrated sigh.

The sisters, however, were delighted with this skill, constantly saying that she needed to practice how to deliver long speeches properly, and that she could use this skill to scare the heroes.

Sienna put the maple leaf down, turned off the light, and went to bed. At least she wouldn't feel cold at night, with a bunch of snoring little girls beside her.
