Teddy walked a little ahead of the leader with her head held high. She certainly had reason to be proud, because she had done a great job.

The guy hiding in the bar was super suspicious from the start, demanding money and favors from the boss in exchange for information.

She was quite certain that he was the kind of capitalist she had been constantly warned to be careful of.

So, as soon as she sensed his ill intentions, she used her abilities to make him feel the power of the proletariat—and the authority of the boss.

They're on their way home now, and Teddy is sure her boss will reward her for her hard work.

However, the eldest sister was a bit busy. She held her phone close to her face with one hand so that she could see all the information she had received from Handshaw, while her other hand was being tightly held and protected by Teddy.

"Boss, did you find anything useful?" Teddy asked.

Sienna snorted. "I guess so?" she said, then looked up and sighed.

The eldest brother just loves to act.

"All this information is... fragmented? I don't think it's presented in a very straightforward way."

"What does that mean?" Teddy asked. Information... well, it's something like knowledge.

As far as she knew, the information couldn't be straight or crooked, or anything like that.

Perhaps the boss is using an analogy again.

"I mean... well, there's a lot of scattered... data? But it's not organized."

When you open a textbook, the content is usually well-organized. When you look for something, it's typically arranged in a way that's easy to understand, or at least easy to find. But it seems like we just... take everything at once.

"Well, okay. But we did a great job, didn't we?"

“I—I don’t know?” the eldest sister said. She looked back as if she could see the coffee shop from where they were, but it was actually several streets away.

“What we did there was illegal. Very illegal! We used our superpowers to threaten people. Before that, well, at least I had never used my superpowers to do anything. They could have accused me of being… that V-word (villain), but not of any criminal activity.”

“Yeah, but he’s a capitalist,” Teddy said.

"I... I think so? I mean, he was trying to blackmail us, but the right thing to do would have been to call the police, right?"

“No, you did the right thing, boss,” Teddy reassured him.

She squeezed her boss's hand tightly, trying to make her feel better. "We even completed a mission."

The eldest brother blinked a few times, then his eyes darted around in the air as if he were looking at something. "Oh, no."

Teddy's smile vanished. "What's wrong, boss?"

“I… I didn’t mean to complete any mission.” Sienna realized belatedly, “If I completed the wrong mission, I would be trapped in the identity of the villain for a very long time.”

She took out her phone, swiped the screen to find a chart, and Teddy couldn't quite make out the contents. "I... I think that to improve my morality level, I have to only do certain types of tasks."

Teddy sensed that the leader's tone was very uncertain, so the girl slowed down and tugged at the leader's sleeve so that she could see the pictures on her phone.

The chart was fairly clear, and it had some small print that Teddy already recognized.

But it was also completely wrong. "Yeah, most of it is wrong, boss," Teddy said, loosening his grip on his boss's sleeve.

"Please—say it again?"

Teddy waved at the phone. "Some of the moral aspects are wrong."

"How did you know?" the boss asked.

Teddy puffed out her chest even more. "Because I just know," she said.

"You mean, like some things you were born knowing? Because you were summoned?" the eldest asked.

"Yes. Just like I know how to talk, how to go to the toilet, and how to be a good bear."

Teddy said that if the eldest sister wanted to hear it, she could list all the things she could do all day long.

Sienna's expression shifted several times, then she let her arms hang down at her sides and sighed deeply.

“I could have asked you all along,” Sienna said, annoyed. “I didn’t need to look up information online, get into trouble, or threaten that Handshaw.”

She put her phone back in her bag, then rubbed her face with her free hand.

"It's okay, boss, you didn't know I knew all this."

She didn't like seeing her eldest son looking sullen and miserable.

Her job is to help the eldest brother, which means making his life better.

In other words, the last thing Teddy wants to see is the eldest child being unhappy.

“It’s okay,” the eldest brother said. “I just—I feel like these past few days have been going on for too long.”

That makes sense. "Yeah. But don't worry, boss, I'm here with you now."

The eldest actually smiled, even though she turned her head away from Teddy and smiled, "Thank you, Teddy."

If Teddy puffed out his chest any higher, he'd revert to his original form. "You're welcome, boss! Hey, do you want me to explain all this to you?"

“I… I’ll be very grateful, okay,” the eldest said.

Teddy nodded, starting to look for a suitable angle to explain. She decided to begin with what confused her boss the most. "So, your level, like on that chart, you want to change it, right?"

“Yes,” the eldest brother said.

"Right. Yeah, it's actually pretty simple. You see, you'll get missions, just like I did, right? So if the missions you complete are relevant to your current level, you'll stay at that level."

However, if you complete some tasks at a level adjacent to your current level, you will eventually advance to one of those levels.

"I see, that makes sense. So, is there a way to level up quickly? Like... level up even faster?"

The boss is already at the villain level, and she still wants to rise? Teddy searched his memory for a level even higher than this.

The supervillain and the mastermind are quite similar, but if she wants to rise quickly... does the boss want to become a demon?

Teddy was very impressed. "Yes, boss. You just need to do some really amazing things, like, things that are much more impressive than what the mission requires."

"I understand, I can do it, we can do it."

Teddy grinned; she was now part of the boss's plan!

"So, um, what about the points?"

"Points? You mean like those on your status bar?" Teddy asked. When the boss nodded, Teddy checked his own status bar to confirm.

Two skill upgrade points.

One was from a robbery she committed a few days ago, and the other was from scaring that Handshaw out of his capitalist air.

"Right, so there are three types of points, right? Ability points can grant you a completely new ability. But you don't know what you'll get, just like when you gained the ability to summon me."

"I think I've heard of this; some of the most powerful heroes have a bunch of abilities."

“That’s right, yes. Skill upgrade points allow you to improve the characteristics of an ability. For example, once I unlock some characteristics for my bear-man ability, I can make them even better.”

"I see."

"There are also skill points, which can unlock new features for an ability you already possess."

Sienna's forehead furrowed. "I don't quite understand this."

"Ah, it's like... I can acquire a new skill, like, uh, the skill of talking to bears. It will match my abilities, but it will also be a completely new skill."

“I think I understand a little bit now?” She sounded like she didn’t quite understand yet, but Teddy felt she would soon.

They had reached their destination, so Teddy slowed down and eventually came to a complete stop.

The eldest sister blinked a few times, looking around in confusion. "Why did we stop?" she asked.

Teddy pointed to Im Orton's restaurant across the street, where they had bought lunch earlier, "We're here."

The eldest brother stared at the bustling restaurant, his face first showing a puzzled expression, then he rolled his eyes and that expression disappeared.

But because she was the best leader, she just muttered a few words under her breath and then nodded. "Okay, fine."
