Zhao Xuan found a restaurant that looked very high-end.

With its height of over ten stories, it stands out among numerous shops. Can it survive if it's low-end?

Before even entering the restaurant, a waiter greeted them with a bow, "Esteemed guest, are you here for a meal or to stay the night?"

"How do you say 'get a bite'? How do you say 'stay at a hotel'?" Zhao Xuan had only seen such situations in TV dramas in his previous life. This was his first time experiencing it firsthand, and he was filled with a sense of amusement.

"Distinguished guests, you may not know this when you first arrive in Jinyang City, but the service at Tianyanglou is first-class and comprehensive."

If you are just stopping by for a snack, in addition to providing you with fine wine and delicious food to replenish your energy, you can also ask us to run any errands you need, and we will make sure to handle them properly for you.

If you're looking for a hotel stay, we also have deluxe suites with courtyards available for both short and long-term rentals.

"In short, sir, as long as you have any needs, you don't need to go to any trouble. Just give the order and Tianyanglou will take care of it for you." The waiter said respectfully.

"That's amazing! What if I wanted the stars in the sky?" Zhao Xuan said with a smile.

“You’re joking, sir,” the waiter said, noticing Zhao Xuan’s teasing tone.

But then he changed the subject: "If our esteemed guest can afford the price, there is an alternative. On the fifteenth of each month, our Tianyang Tower will hold an auction. Although there are no stars in the sky, star cores and meteorite iron have appeared before."

"Oh, that's quite surprising." Zhao Xuan was taken aback, then said, "I'm rather interested in this auction. Could you tell me more about it?"

"Please come in, esteemed guest, and have some food and drink. I'll ask the manager to comfort you." The waiter bowed and invited Zhao Xuan inside.

Zhao Xuan entered the shop under the guidance of the waiter; it was a place of fine taste.

Although the restaurant looked large from the outside, it was unexpected that it was actually set up with a formation inside, dividing it into semi-independent areas.

There was a lively hall area where groups of three or five people sat around tables, raising their glasses and toasting each other and those at neighboring tables.

There are also quiet, semi-open hall areas surrounded by exotic flowers and plants, where scholars and literati chat and laugh.

There are also relatively private single-person areas with only one table, where people can enjoy fine wine alone, finding tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle.

"Honored guest, the first floor of our Tianyang Restaurant is an open-plan space, mainly for satisfying your appetite. Please come in." The waiter led Zhao Xuan to a relatively private single area.

The place is small, but it is very elegant.

Zhao Xuan knelt down beside the table, and the waiter introduced, "Our Tianyang Tower is most famous for its three wines and three banquets. Would you like to try them, sir?"

"Oh, what are the three wines and three banquets?" Zhao Xuan asked.

"Sanjiu is a strong liquor, like the blood of a general. One sip and you feel like you're fighting on the battlefield, your spirits churning."

Peach Blossom Fairy Fruit Wine: The fruit wine goes down your throat, smooth and mellow like a beautiful dream without leaving a trace.

"Chenjiu Hongchenmeng" is a blend of a general's blood and a peach blossom fairy, aged for sixty years to be perfect. A cup of wine amidst the vast world, a pot of tea for a thousand-year legacy, its flavors twist and turn, indescribably wonderful.

The three banquets are designed to be paired with three kinds of wine. The nine-fold banquet, which is paired with the general's blood, is mainly meaty and has a rich and strong flavor.

Paired with Peach Blossom Fairy's Jade Banquet, which is mainly vegetarian, the flavors are elegant and refined.

"The 'Red Dust Feast' that accompanies 'Red Dust Dream' features mainly vegetarian dishes, the taste of which is indescribable," the waiter said.

“Oh, I’d like to try them all, but you’re not being honest,” Zhao Xuan said.

"Please forgive me, esteemed guest, and point out any errors." Upon hearing this, the waiter immediately bowed and apologized.

"You only talk about how good your food and wine are, but you don't mention the price. Are you trying to trick me into spending a fortune?" Zhao Xuan said.

"Oh dear, please forgive me, esteemed guest. You are dressed in gold brocade and purple cloud boots. You must be either royalty or a cultivator. Any gift you give would be worth half of Tianyang Tower. How could I dare to offend you with such a mundane item? That's why I took the liberty of doing this. Please forgive me, esteemed guest," the waiter bowed and apologized.

Zhao Xuan was taken aback upon hearing this. He looked at himself, then looked around, and suddenly realized what was going on.

"I've wronged you. Just give me a pound of Red Dust Dream, paired with the Six Paths Red Dust Banquet, and then ask the manager to come over." Zhao Xuan said no more and threw out a gold ingot weighing about ten taels.

"Please wait a moment, sir." The waiter took the gold, bowed, and left.

It was my first time going out, and I forgot that royalty wore yellow and purple.

Yellow is divided into bright yellow, light yellow, and dark yellow. Bright yellow was reserved for emperors, light yellow for royalty, and dark yellow was not restricted, but it was rarely used by ordinary people to avoid any taboo.

Purple is divided into deep purple, purplish-red, and dark purple, and it cannot be used by others without the approval of the royal family.

But after all, this is a world of cultivation, where individual power belongs to oneself, and cultivators are not included.

Kaoshan Village is isolated from the outside world, and the taboos here are little known. Even though Zhao Xuan is a member of the royal family and a cultivator, he didn't care.

Little did they expect that their identities would be exposed as soon as they left the village because of their clothing.

A short while later, the same waiter returned carrying a tray with a ceramic wine pot, three wine cups, and two side dishes.

Zhao Xuan racked his brains, recalling the records he had seen in various miscellaneous books, not wanting to appear ignorant.

After the waiter had set out the wine and dishes, he said, "Honorable guest, please enjoy your wine first. The manager will be here shortly."

Zhao Xuan nodded, and after the waiter left, he poured three cups of wine, placing one next to himself and the other two on either side.

This is the meaning of "a gentleman does not drink alone," which comes from the "Record of the God of Wine," where it says that a gentleman drinks alone, lamenting the lack of a close friend.

The Book of Dionysus is a record of various interesting stories about drinking by a historian who loved to drink.

It is said that a great Confucian scholar did not study the classics when he was young, and was called a heretic. He even found a kindred spirit when drinking.

Later, he made two friends. Although they could not be said to share the same interests, both of them deeply abhorred the Confucian doctrines.

He greatly respected the great Confucian scholar who dared to defy authority, and he also helped him a lot in the process of attaining enlightenment.

After this great Confucian scholar attained enlightenment and established a new school of Confucianism, he became an authority, and people flocked to him seeking favor.

Knowing that this great scholar enjoyed drinking, they prepared a feast with fine wine, a welcome change from the solitary drinking of yesteryear.

The great scholar gradually forgot his original aspirations due to the mundane world, until he suddenly realized his mistake after the deaths of his two friends.

He then secluded himself to study doctrines, and later attained enlightenment, becoming a Confucian sage who oversaw the destiny of the human race.

Whenever he thought of his deceased friends, the great scholar would offer three cups of wine, as if to say that he was drinking with his two deceased friends.

Later, it gradually developed into a rule that when a person goes to a restaurant for a drink, the restaurant will give them three cups.

This reminded Zhao Xuan of his past life, when some of the older generation in his hometown would pour out some wine before drinking it, saying that the heavens and the earth gods would drink it first.

After swallowing the wine, Zhao Xuan couldn't help but exhale a long breath.

The first taste is sweet, and the sensation as it goes down the throat is like swallowing a mouthful of water, incredibly refreshing.

But in an instant, the water dragon transformed into a fire dragon, and a warm feeling welled up in my heart.

Then the fire dragon transformed into a fragrant aroma that rushed straight to the mind.

Then it went around and around again, and only stopped after a long time, truly turning a thousand times and a hundred times.

This wine is no ordinary wine; it is a true spiritual wine, containing not only spiritual energy but also the heart of the winemaker.

It must have been brewed by a practitioner, or at least a practitioner with profound knowledge of the art of brewing.

According to the Records of a Hundred Trades, there are five essential tasks for establishing a sacred profession; nothing can be accomplished without these five.

One needs to understand five states of mind in order to have the possibility of becoming a saint.

First, a heart for peace and comfort; second, a heart for courage and striving; third, a heart for prosperity and wealth; fourth, a heart for glory and worldly desires.

Only with sufficient food can there be surplus for brewing wine. With sufficient food, the human race can live and work in peace and contentment. Therefore, the first principle of the way of wine is a peaceful and happy mind.

Forgetting war is dangerous; even in comfort lies crisis. Family feuds and clan hatreds, a brave man drinks a cup of wine and sacrifices his life for righteousness. This is the second state of mind in the way of wine: courage and determination.

Warriors fought their way out of the enemy, carving a bloody path for the development of their tribe. They sacrificed their lives for development, creating a prosperous scene. This is the third state of mind in the way of wine: the prosperous mind.

Living up to the blood of warriors, cherishing the present, striving for the future, striving brings glory, glory creates honor, the honor of being human, this is the fourth state of mind in the way of wine: the heart of honor.

When glory and honor are etched into the hearts of every human being, they will return to the ordinary and become part of daily life. This is the fifth state of mind in the Way of Wine: the heart of worldly affairs.

Among them, the fifth state of mind is the most profound. To cultivate the path to sainthood, one needs to comprehend all five states of mind and integrate the other four states of mind into one's heart in the mortal world in order to become a saint.

Zhao Xuan, who wishes to follow the path of agriculture and the path of sainthood, must do the same.

I never expected that I would taste the work of someone who has already gone halfway through the path of sainthood so soon after entering the martial arts world.

Zhao Xuan quietly savored the dream of the mortal world, contemplating its mysteries and comparing them with his own state of mind on the path to sainthood.

Clearly, he was no match for the other. He had only grasped the first kind of peace and joy, while the other had grasped at least three: peace and joy, courage and courage, and worldly joy. Moreover, the other was trying to integrate peace and joy and courage into worldly joy.

Not long after, the waiter brought the dishes over.

They are described as: a dream of poverty, a dream of wealth, a dream of beauty, a dream of the universe, a dream of longevity, and a dream of fleeting clouds.

Zhao Xuan saw that it was actually just cold shredded radish salad, deluxe egg fried rice, cabbage with egg white, soup dumplings, clear soup noodles, and egg drop soup.

However, whether it's worth it or not can only be determined after tasting it.

Guided by the waiter, Zhao Xuan tasted each dish in turn.

After finishing the egg drop soup, a tear involuntarily rolled down my cheek.

Is the martial world really that complicated? I've barely left my house and I've already run into two people from the Holy Path.

Of course, he didn't shed tears for this, but after eating the six dishes in order, Zhao Xuan was so engrossed that he suddenly realized the meaning of a person's life.

He was poor in his youth and could only make a living by eating vegetables and radishes.

With mastery of skills, wealth and fame will come rolling in.

Having gained wealth and status, he then longed for beautiful wives and concubines.

Having both a son and a daughter, he also longs for power.

He held absolute power, yet he also desired immortality.

In the end, it was all for naught. On his deathbed, he lamented that all the splendor was like a dream, and that nothing was better than a plate of simple vegetables.

This made him unconsciously shed a tear.

This is the sacred enlightenment of a culinary practitioner who has grasped the spirit of striving, the spirit of prosperity, and the spirit of worldly life, and it is experienced through his works.

After finishing his meal, Zhao Xuan continued drinking "Red Dust Dream".

I lament that blindly believing everything in books is worse than having no books at all. Books describe the human condition as the most difficult to understand, but now it seems that's not necessarily true.

Most people are born into the world and are constantly immersed in it, which makes it easier for them to understand the state of mind in this world.

On the contrary, it is difficult for someone like me, who has never had to worry about food or clothing and has never experienced hardship, to understand the state of mind in the mortal world.

Caught off guard, he was startled by the mental state of the other two holy cultivators and instead revealed his fear.

Once you've calmed your mind and regained your relaxed state, what good is it to gain so much insight? In a state of ease, you're not as profound as you are in your own mind.
