It can also be said that the cultivation system is a method of practice to obtain fortune.

Of course, this system is too early for Zhao Xuan now.

Therefore, Zhao Xuan still wanted to build a speed system.

Of course, this speed system is not about increasing one's own speed.

No matter how fast you move, as long as you're moving within space, you can't outrun spatial teleportation.

No matter how fast your reaction speed is, as long as you are still a physical body, you cannot avoid the attack of light.

No matter how fast you strike, as long as you need to strike, it's not as fast as direct force exertion through intention.

Therefore, the speed system is about controlling the rhythm and the ability to perceive time.

Practitioners often say that they can do this or that with a single thought, but just how fast is this thought?

The answer in the spiritual practice world is one second.

Of course, this one second is the basic unit.

Because this thought actually goes through four stages.

Thought arises, thought settles, thought moves, thought responds.

Each stage lasts approximately a quarter of a second.

Of course, this refers to the speed in an independent event.

For example, you get provoked by someone and then punch them.

When you get angry and have the urge to hit someone, that's called "spirit energy".

Once the thought arises, you'll calculate the gains and losses, such as whether the other party will retaliate, whether you can win the fight, and so on. In the end, you'll decide to ignore it and just fight first.

This is called mindfulness.

Once you have a thought, your brain issues a command, and your nerves transmit the command; this is the process of thought.

Finally, the muscles react, which is the response, or the response to your thought of hitting someone.

Of course, this doesn't mean you'll get enraged in a second and then hit someone.

The process of being provoked is a prelude to the arising of the thought, and is not part of this stage.

Whether or not you can hit someone is a matter of outcome, and not something that happens at this stage.

There are independent periods of time, and naturally there are continuous events, such as driving.

You are already prepared while driving, having planned when to step on the gas and when to step on the brake, and your muscles are ready.

Therefore, upon encountering a situation, react immediately.

The stages of arising of thought, settling of thought, and arising of thought are eliminated, and the thought is directly responded to.

The reaction speed of a cultivator increases with each stage of cultivation, roughly doubling the speed of generating and stabilizing thoughts.

The essence is doubled, and the speed of thought is doubled.

The Qi Yuan increases by 100%, and the speed of thought response increases by 100%.

In the cultivation of the lower four realms, each realm increases the essence by three grades, and each realm increases the spirit by three grades, which means that the four realms increase the essence by a total of twelve times.

In the process of transcending a higher realm, one's essence, energy, and spirit need to be baptized by a higher level of power, which increases the quality tenfold, equivalent to increasing the quantity tenfold.

In other words, reaching the peak of one realm results in an overall improvement of thirty times.

Each thought takes one-thirtieth of a second to form.

The second realm's perfection increases thirtyfold on the premise that the first realm is perfected; the third realm increases thirtyfold on the premise that the second realm is perfected; and the fourth realm increases thirtyfold on the premise that the third realm is perfected.

At this moment, the time it takes for a thought to arise is one eighty-one-hundred-thousandth of a second.

That is, 81 percent of a second.

Of course, you won't see such an exaggerated reaction.

Because 80% of the information a normal person receives is through sight, spiritual practitioners rarely rely on sight.

If the amount of information a normal person receives is one, then the amount of information a cultivator receives increases to ten, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand... as their cultivation level rises.

Just as most of the information received by normal people is invalid, so too is the information received by spiritual practitioners.

Therefore, filtering out valid information from invalid information takes up a lot of a practitioner's reaction time.

In other words, while a cultivator's normal reaction speed is faster than that of an ordinary person, it's not by that much. If you remove the tenfold increase that comes with the improvement in quality level, that's roughly the normal reaction speed of a cultivator.

The perfection of the divine realm is roughly eighty-one times that of a mortal.

Of course, this is normal. Practitioners can enter a state where they receive as little information as possible, which is often referred to as entering samadhi.

In this state, practitioners can achieve the necessary speed of thought and reaction.

This is why practitioners need to enter a meditative state when adjusting themselves or when they need to do something to the best of their ability.

Entering samadhi also has different levels. One level of samadhi requires sitting quietly and concentrating one's energy.

In this state, the practitioner's goal is set before entering samadhi, and they cannot change their direction of thought. Furthermore, their physical body and breath need to be as stable as possible.

In other words, a practitioner's essence, energy, and spirit must not fluctuate in any way; once a fluctuation occurs, they will fall out of their meditative state.

The second level of practitioners can maintain the calmness of their spiritual essence and remain in a state of deep meditation, which is called great meditation, even when their physical body and breath (i.e., essence and qi) fluctuate slightly and continuously.

The third level of practitioners can maintain a meditative state under the free fluctuation of essence and qi, which is called constant meditative absorption.

The fourth stage is spiritual transcendence, where one can remain in a meditative state even when one's divine essence fluctuates freely; this is called Daoist meditation.

This is a realm of practice that exists independently outside the conventional system of spiritual cultivation. In Buddhist practice, even without any cultivation, one can be called an Arhat if one can achieve great samadhi, and a Bodhisattva if one can achieve constant samadhi.

As for the fourth level of Dao attainment, no one has ever been able to reach it.

This is the perfect state of spiritual practice envisioned by both Taoist and Buddhist masters.

After reaching the Saint Realm, reaction speed doubles with each subsequent level.

Because the first-grade Saint Realm integrates the three treasures, its essence, energy, and spirit are not improved, but it avoids some useless information and reacts a hundred times faster than a normal person under normal circumstances.

This reaction speed is clearly not up to the true reaction speed of a cultivator, so cultivators have developed many methods to try to achieve that ideal state of 100% performance.

For example, a formation provides a private and independent environment, which obviously makes cultivators feel safe and allows them to save some mental energy to speed up their reaction time.

The energy within the formation, once established, will certainly be beneficial to oneself.

This saves you the energy to filter out useless information, which is equivalent to increasing your reaction speed.

For example, the guardians of the path.

The Protector allows cultivators to focus solely on the enemy in front of them during battle, protecting them from disturbances. This reduces the amount of information cultivators need to gather, effectively increasing their reaction speed.

For example, defensive magical artifacts are based on the same principle as protectors.

Another example is gathering what is called a general trend.

The goal is to make the other party use as few underhanded tactics as possible under the witness and threat of the public.

This principle is the same as that of the protectors of the Way; it is equivalent to the masses becoming their own temporary protectors.

The entire protective system is designed to allow practitioners to utilize their full potential.

Why is the Boundless Holy Body so powerful? Besides the fact that the Three Treasures can convert power into three times the strength, the Boundless Holy Body also doesn't need to consider energy consumption or the possibility of death during battle. By conserving its energy, it allows its reaction speed to be the same as that of a Saint Realm Rank 3 cultivator, who should have a reaction speed four times faster.

Only death can be considered a major event. When the concept of death is abandoned, the Boundless Holy Body can unleash most of its power.

The rest is a matter of morality.
