My Mythical Path to Immortality in Another World

Chapter 134 The Primordial Celestial Venerable and the Goddess Nuwa Return to the Primordial World

In the course of this development, the Hetu Luoshu gained immense merit by helping the human emperor embark on the path to enlightenment.

Back then, the Hetu Luoshu was considered the supreme treasure of the demon race. Although its grade was only among the top-grade innate spiritual treasures, its revered status among the demon race was in no way inferior to the Chaos Bell, which was at the level of an innate supreme treasure.

Not to mention that the Hetu Luoshu itself carries the incredibly powerful Heluo Grand Array, the fact that the Zhou Tian Star Array can be deduced from it and is sufficient to serve as the array base is enough to elevate its status.

Furthermore, Fuxi comprehended the Eight Trigrams of the Primordial Era from them, and the Hetu and Luoshu can be called the first wisdom book of the primordial world, deducing sacred objects and divine objects of the Dao of Array.

The scroll held up by Di Jun in his right hand had been hanging in the sky for 1,500 years, as if everyone was already so familiar with it that they couldn't be more familiar with it.

What else could it be but the Taiji Diagram, a supreme innate treasure in the hands of the Sage of Taiqing?

At this moment, no one present could imagine that the renowned Sage Taiqing had not only suffered a crushing defeat, but even his most treasured supreme magic weapon, the Taiji Diagram, had fallen into the hands of others.

However, when everyone turned their gaze to the inside of the Chaos Bell, they saw the Supreme Saint with the Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda on his head, desperately trying to resist the attacks from the outside world.

This scene somewhat calmed the shock in people's hearts. After all, it was truly remarkable that the Sage Taiqing had been able to hold out this long against such a powerful enemy.

The Three Treasures of Creation all originated from the Divine Axe of Creation.

Among them, the Chaos Banner contains boundless divine power and can generate Chaos Sword Qi. Chaos Sword Qi possesses the power to create heaven and earth, and can return all things in the world to the original chaotic state of earth, wind, water, and fire. It is the most powerful and precious treasure in the primordial world.

The Tai Chi diagram can evolve into the Tai Chi Golden Bridge. The Tai Chi Golden Bridge connects heaven and earth and can separate the pure and impure energies. Anyone who stands on this Tai Chi Golden Bridge will be protected and impervious to all attacks, making it a top-tier defensive treasure.

In addition, the Tai Chi diagram can generate Yin and Yang energies. The Two Elements Micro Dust Array, one of the four great arrays of the primordial world, was derived from this.

As for the Chaos Bell, when it rings, all laws fall into silence, and space and time shatter. Not only is its defensive power in no way inferior to the Taiji Diagram, but its offensive power is also comparable to the Chaos Banner.

Although these three treasures are not mutually reinforcing or mutually restraining, in everyone's perception, the Chaos Bell subtly suppresses the other two treasures.

Back then, Donghuang Taiyi held the Chaos Bell in one hand, looking majestic and awe-inspiring. Even the six saints who had attained sainthood dared not take him lightly in the slightest.

Therefore, when everyone believed that Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi had attained sainthood and suppressed Taiqing Saint with the power of the Chaos Bell and the Hetu Luoshu, it initially caused quite a stir, but eventually people gradually accepted this fact.

However, those ancient Quasi-Saints and Great Luo Golden Immortals held Donghuang Taiyi in the highest esteem. His domineering personality and overwhelming strength meant that none of them dared to confront such a terrifying being directly.

Therefore, these quasi-saints and great immortals began to rack their brains to find all sorts of excuses to go into seclusion and cultivate, trying every possible way to avoid a direct conflict with Donghuang Taiyi.

The Heavenly Court, however, was in a terrible predicament. Its trump cards were the presence of the Supreme Lord Laozi, one of the three corpses of the Sage Taiqing, and the ability to command the stars in the sky to set up the Zhou Tian Star Array.

However, Laozi has already returned to the body of the Supreme Sage, and now the Supreme Sage has been suppressed.

As for the Zhou Tian Star Array, Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi were much more familiar with it than they were.

So the Heavenly Court simply stopped caring.

As for Buddhism, the situation was even more dire. The Taoist Taiqing petitioned Heaven, requesting that his three incarnations be merged into one. As for the Buddha, who was the obsessive body of the Taiqing Sage, he could only enter Nirvana.

The Buddha of this world has passed away, and the future Buddha has become the World Honored One of Buddhism.

However, the future Buddha, also known as Maitreya Buddha, is also called the Buddha of the East or the Great Sun Tathagata.

Although he was a quasi-saint powerhouse with two corpses, his true form was one of the ten Golden Crow Princes of the Demon Court back then.

In those days, the ten Golden Crow Princes set out at the same time, creating the phenomenon of ten suns appearing in the sky. The great sun's true fire raged across the primordial land, making it difficult for all things to survive and bringing endless suffering to the world.

At that time, Kuafu, the great shaman of the Wu tribe, attempted to drive away the ten suns, but eventually died from exhaustion.

This angered Hou Yi, a friend of Kuafu, who drew his bow and shot down nine golden crow princes with nine arrows, leaving only one alive.

Hou Yi's act of shooting down the nine suns became the fuse that ignited the long-suppressed conflicts and hatred between the Wu and Yao tribes.

The Lich Wars thus erupted, with both sides fighting with all their might, resulting in countless deaths and injuries. In the end, the Lich race paid a heavy price, almost to the point of mutual destruction.

The only surviving Golden Crow Prince, possessing the bloodline of the demon royal family, became the last hope of the demon race. Fortunately, the saint Nuwa was merciful and took him in and protected him in the Nuwa Palace, which allowed the Golden Crow Prince to survive in the world.

Because the Golden Crow Prince is the only remaining royal bloodline of the demon race, he naturally carries the karma of the entire demon race, which blocks his path of cultivation.

Although the Sage Nuwa did not establish a religion, she was revered as the Holy Mother of Humanity and naturally possessed the blessings of humankind. Therefore, she would not be too concerned about the slight loss of blessings consumed in protecting the Golden Crow Prince.

However, Prince Jinwu himself could not withstand such a heavy blow.

In his despair, the two Western Saints seized the opportunity and brought him into the Western Religion.

After entering the Western religion, Prince Jinwu went through reincarnation and successfully attained enlightenment, transforming into the Venerable Maitreya.

Using his own Buddhist teachings and the karma of the demon race as a guide, he severed the evil corpse, Wuchao Zen Master, and then, using the karma of the Great Sun as a guide, he severed the good corpse, Great Sun Tathagata.

After Taiqing converted the barbarians to Buddhism, he established Mahayana Buddhism. Amitabha Buddha took the opportunity to integrate Buddhism into it, and Maitreya Buddha also became the future Buddha among the three horizontal and three vertical Buddhas.

However, although the name of the future Buddha is resounding, it is in reality nothing more than an empty title.

At least during this immeasurable eon, the possibility of successfully succeeding to the throne is almost a pipe dream and absolutely impossible.

However, Taiqing has already achieved his goal, and leaving behind the Obsessive Corpse would become a major weakness.

Therefore, Taiqing decisively took action, forcing the Heavenly Dao to give in, allowing his three corpse avatars to return smoothly.

Maitreya Buddha, as the future Buddha, naturally succeeded to the present Buddha position and became the World Honored One of Buddhism.

The ascension of Maitreya Buddha did indeed bring certain benefits to Buddhism.

After all, if Buddhism wants to prosper, it must attract more believers.

Many of the powerful figures among the former demon race had some degree of kinship with Maitreya Buddha. Therefore, when Buddhism sought to convert the demon race to its fold, it possessed a certain advantage.

Unfortunately, this time Zhao Xuan transformed into Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi, descending upon the Journey to the West calamity.

Even though Maitreya Buddha was very dissatisfied, he dared not utter a single word.

Di Jun was the father of Maitreya Buddha's first incarnation, while Donghuang Taiyi was his uncle in his first incarnation. In the eyes of these two elders, Maitreya Buddha was a despicable traitor to the demon race.

Therefore, even if his evil corpse, the Zen Master Wuchao, was destroyed, and the precious spiritual treasure Wuchao, crafted from the Fusang Tree, was stolen, he could only pretend that he knew nothing.

He simply used that as an excuse to go into seclusion.

The Dao Ancestor was in a crucial stage of merging with the Heavenly Dao, making it difficult for him to intervene.

Therefore, after Taiqing was trapped for five hundred years, Yuanshi Tianzun and Nuwa were summoned back to the primordial world by the Heavenly Dao from the road to the human and immortal realms to preside over the Journey to the West calamity.

With the return of the two sages, the previously turbulent and anxious immortals and gods gradually returned to peace.

In the five hundred years that the immortals and gods were in a daze, hundreds of immortals and Buddhas had been hunted down and their souls were no more.

Due to the inaction of many powerful figures, both the Heavenly Court and Buddhism suffered heavy losses and had to adopt a semi-closed approach to protect themselves.

Whether or not a sage is in charge, there is actually no significant difference between the so-called righteous path and the unrighteous path.

Nevertheless, the righteous path is still the righteous path, because they occupy the rightful place in the world.

It possesses 99.9% of the resources, fortune, and blessed lands available for cultivation in the world.

Although these orthodox forces possess a lot of resources, their numbers actually account for less than 30% of the total number of cultivators.

Yet it is precisely this small fraction of people, less than 30%, who have gathered 99.99% of the most powerful individuals in the world.

Between heaven and earth, there are countless people who pursue the path of cultivation. However, if they do not follow the rules of the so-called righteous path, they will be regarded as unorthodox and heretical, and even worse, they will be labeled as evil and crooked.

For these so-called "rebels," not only is it difficult for them to achieve enlightenment and become immortals, but they are also very likely to become tools for those who claim to be righteous to cultivate their descendants and gain merit.

Therefore, there are countless people who cultivate themselves, but very few who become immortals and attain enlightenment.

In this world, it is certainly hard to accept that demons eat people, but isn't it also a kind of cause and effect cycle?

After all, in this dog-eat-dog world, preying on each other is the way of survival.

As long as the primordial cycle of reincarnation exists, as long as the soul can be preserved, one can continue to reincarnate. Therefore, it is not a terrible sin for demons to eat humans.

Those unorthodox and even demonic practices are actually quite similar to those of the demon race; they simply steal the essence and blood of others to enhance their own power.

In contrast, those self-proclaimed righteous people want to enslave the human soul, and for all eternity.

The Heavenly Court has thirty-six heavens, three of which are the places where sages cultivate themselves, and the ninth is where the Heavenly Palace is located.

However, the remaining twenty-four heavens are not empty. In fact, these twenty-four heavens are all used as the Heavenly Court's vast pastures, and those who graze there are the humans known as "Daoists".

The Heavenly Court possesses a massive military force, capable of mobilizing hundreds of thousands of heavenly soldiers and generals to launch expeditions at the drop of a hat. Yet, it also frequently suffers defeats, with hundreds of thousands of heavenly soldiers being swallowed up by terrifyingly powerful demons.

Those heavenly soldiers were actually selected from a large number of Daoist people.

Not only the heavenly soldiers, but also the strongmen in the various immortal mansions and the graceful dancers, all originated from these ordinary Daoist people.

However, whether selecting celestial soldiers or choosing strongmen, the process is akin to raising poisonous insects. During the selection process, countless lives are quietly lost, all in the hope of ultimately cultivating a celestial soldier or strongman who meets the requirements.

The Twenty-Four Heavens are as vast and boundless as twenty-four independent little worlds, inhabited by countless human beings. These humans toil tirelessly day and night, striving to expand the territory of the Heavenly Court and explore the various precious resources hidden within their little worlds.

On the other hand, they also need to continuously offer their devout faith to the gods in Heaven.

The same applies to Buddhism. Take, for example, the Twenty-Four Heavens controlled by Dipankara Buddha, the Lapis Lazuli World held by Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, and the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss governed by Amitabha Buddha. Their functions are exactly the same as those of the Twenty-Four Heavens of the Heavenly Court.

Especially the Pure Land of Lapis Lazuli and the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Legend has it that as long as one steps into these two wondrous places, one can enjoy the ultimate joy in the human world and bid farewell to the weariness and toil of the mortal realm.

Indeed, this is the case. However, once one enters the Pure Land of Lapis Lazuli and the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Buddhism fulfills all people's wishes, but ultimately becomes a tool to continuously provide faith power for Buddhism.

Those who live forever are unaware of life and death, find it difficult to transcend, and ultimately become puppets who only produce faith.

Therefore, when the powerful figures of the Heavenly Court and Buddhism chose to go into seclusion and cultivate, and dared not show themselves easily, the whole world instantly fell into chaos.

Those practitioners who had long suffered oppression rose up in rebellion and launched a fierce resistance.

Those who were considered "righteous" and "orthodox" and who were left to wander the world unfortunately became the targets of their frenzied revenge.

These practitioners were not only ruthlessly captured and used as precious "human medicine," but even after their deaths, they could not escape the tragic fate of being cruelly refined into corpses or souls for others to use.

As time went on, the chaos escalated to an astonishing degree—anyone from the Heavenly Court or the Buddhist sect who appeared in the outside world would immediately be besieged from all directions.

Faced with such a dire situation, the Heavenly Court and the Buddhist sect had no choice but to close their doors and cease interfering in outside affairs.

Taking advantage of the fact that the Heavenly Court and the Buddhist sects were keeping their doors closed, the human race, which was originally in a weak position, suddenly rose to prominence.

Through Zhao Xuan's meticulous nurturing of the human race, and after more than a thousand years of accumulation and development, the human race has become incredibly powerful, becoming the most dominant force in the world today.

All four continents fell into the hands of the human race, and the once rampant demon race could only flee in terror. Some fled overseas to occupy islands and establish their own kingdoms, while others went straight to Mount Futu to seek refuge with the two ancient demon emperors there, hoping for a glimmer of hope.

Of course, this was also intentional on the part of the human race. If the demon race is not driven overseas, how can the human race have a sufficient reason to set foot in the four seas?
